Plunder-Chapter 201: The Third Young Master of the Zhou Family
"Big Brother!"
Seeing Zhou Jin’an from afar, Zhou Chucheng immediately waved to him and quickly ran over.
Qiao En was sitting in the car, unnoticed by Zhou Chucheng.
As Zhou Jin’an was heading towards the Maybach, he squinted his eyes and furrowed his brows upon seeing Zhou Chucheng approaching.
"Big Brother, long time no see!"
Zhou Chucheng’s face was all smiles as he came to a stop beside Zhou Jin’an.
The two men of disparate auras standing together created a striking contrast.
Qiao En, looking at the scene before her, was extremely shocked.
She had never imagined that Zhou Chucheng and Zhou Jin’an were brothers.
It turns out, he was that good-for-nothing youngest son of the Zhou family.
In the face of Zhou Chucheng’s enthusiasm, Zhou Jin’an’s expression remained unchanged, his lips pressed into a cold, tight line.
"What are you doing here?"
Zhou Chucheng turned and gestured towards the film crew that had come with him, "I’ve recently directed a new movie and plan to scout this place for locations. I never thought I’d bump into Big Brother here."
He then directed the crew to enter the villa first.
Zhou Jin’an’s gaze hardened, and then he strode towards the Maybach.
"Big Brother, don’t go! We haven’t seen each other for almost three years, how about having lunch together?"
Zhou Chucheng followed after him.
Zhou Jin’an didn’t stop walking, his tone ice-cold, "I’m not free."
He dove into the car, the Maybach’s doors closing swiftly before it sped away.
"Was that your brother?"
"Hmm."
Zhou Jin’an seemed reluctant to talk about it, leaning back in his seat, his face somber.
Zhou Chucheng was Yao Chuman’s son, and only truly brothers with Zhou Ziyan. That gave Zhou Jin’an reason to be cold towards him.
Yet, Qiao En felt that Zhou Chucheng was different from Zhou Ziyan.
Zhou Jin’an reluctant to discuss more, there were no further questions from Qiao En.
They moved to another hotel, which was inferior in every aspect compared to the villa.
When they arrived at the room, Qiao En started to tidy up the belongings while Zhou Jin’an was on the phone dealing with work issues.
Soon it was lunchtime.
Qiao En quietly finished tidying up and found a corner to sit down.
On WeChat, Zhou Chucheng sent her a message.
"Yayun, thank you for your help, we have already entered the villa. Are you free tonight? I’d like to treat you to a meal."
Qiao En was happy to have helped Zhou Chucheng.
But given her unique situation, she had to keep her distance from him.
"Thanks, but I’ve already left Yun Mountain. We’ll have a meal together some other time."
Qiao En lied again.
"Then I look forward to our next meeting!"
Zhou Chucheng sent another message.
"Who are you chatting with so intently?"
Zhou Jin’an had finished his phone call and walked over to Qiao En.
She panicked, fearing he would see the chat, and quickly deleted the conversation.
"I was sending a message to my mom!"
Qiao En rose unnaturally and went straight to the bathroom.
"Let’s go out for lunch. I know a local restaurant here that’s quite distinctive. Let’s give it a try," suggested Zhou Jin’an.
Qiao En instinctively wanted to refuse, but she didn’t want to dismiss Zhou Jin’an’s kindness.
"Sure."
The two of them left together but had barely sat down at the local restaurant when Zhou Chucheng appeared with three others in tow.
"Big Brother?"
"Yayun, I thought you had left Yun Mountain?"
Caught unawares, Qiao En came face to face with Zhou Chucheng.
As he spoke up, Zhou Jin’an’s brows immediately drew together in a frown.
He looked at Qiao En with confusion, "You know him?"
Before Qiao En could explain, Zhou Chucheng pulled up a chair and sat down at their table.
"Big Brother, I owe it to Yayun for being able to shoot at the villa. Without her help, we couldn’t have gone today, and our filming would have been delayed at least a week..."
Zhou Jin’an understood everything before Zhou Chucheng could finish his sentence.
He abruptly stood up.
"So, your rush to move out was to make room for him?"
Suppressing his anger, his eyes filled with disappointment.
"How do you two know each other?"
Zhou Chucheng’s gaze shifted back and forth between Qiao En and Zhou Jin’an, and he seemed to catch on belatedly.
"No way, are you my sister-in-law?"
In Zhou Chucheng’s eyes, the confusion deepened.
"Let’s go."
Zhou Jin’an was overbearing as he grabbed Qiao En’s wrist and dragged her out.
"Big brother, don’t go. We finally met up; let’s have a meal together."
Zhou Chucheng chased after them, but Zhou Jin’an stopped in his tracks and roared fiercely, "Scram——"
"Zhou Jin’an, calm down."
Qiao En lowered her voice as a reminder.
"How can I be calm?"
Zhou Jin’an’s brows were twisted into a frown.
He pointed a finger at Zhou Chucheng, "What exactly is going on between you two?"
Qiao En intended to explain, but knew it was unnecessary since Zhou Jin’an had become suspicious.
"I’m sorry, I didn’t discuss this with you and made my own decisions. I apologize to you."
Her eyes and brows lowered as she apologized.
But Zhou Jin’an still felt annoyed inside, "Don’t you plan to explain it to me properly?"
Zhou Jin’an was furious, and Qiao En didn’t want to say more.
He was very angry and stormed off, leaving Qiao En behind.
Qiao En stood rooted to the spot.
Zhou Chucheng didn’t catch up with Zhou Jin’an, but he did catch up with Qiao En.
"Yayun, no, sister-in-law, did I cause trouble for you? I’ll go explain to my big brother."
Zhou Chucheng wanted to explain, but Qiao En stopped him.
"No need, I’ll clear it up with him. I’m sorry about today!"
She nodded apologetically to Zhou Chucheng, then hurried towards the hotel.
When she was near the hotel entrance, she could see Zhou Jin’an standing at the door waiting for her from a distance.
She had lied and hidden the truth from him, which was indeed a terrible thing to do; his anger was justified.
Qiao En quickened her pace, but just as she reached the entrance, Zhou Jin’an entered the elevator.
Qiao En then took the next elevator up.
Inside the room, Zhou Jin’an buried his head in the bedding like an ostrich hiding its head.
Qiao En entered the room and shut the door.
"I was wrong, isn’t an apology enough? I swear, from now on I will always discuss things with you."
Qiao En sincerely apologized, but Zhou Jin’an was being petulant and pretended to ignore her.
"It’s not what you think; I do really know him, he saved my life."
Qiao En narrated the entire story of being rescued after a car accident.
From under the covers, Zhou Jin’an complained in a muffled voice, "Why didn’t you tell me all this sooner?"
"Wasn’t I afraid you would misunderstand?"
"Can’t you stop being mad? You have a bad stomach and haven’t eaten, getting angry is bad for your health."
She coaxed him softly.
Zhou Jin’an then lifted the covers and showed his head peeking out from the bed.
"But I am still very angry."
"Are you angry with me for hiding things from you?"
Zhou Jin’an shook his head.
"Then are you angry with me for deceiving you?"
Zhou Jin’an shook his head again.
Qiao En was puzzled.
She thought she knew Zhou Jin’an as well as if she were the worm in his stomach, but sometimes even the worm was at a loss.
"Then why?" she asked doubtfully.
"I’m angry that when making decisions, you neither considered yourself nor thought of me, but put an unrelated person first. En’en, you are my wife now. I don’t want you to be too sensible all the time and to always think about others. I will love you wholeheartedly, but I hope you too can learn to love yourself well."
Qiao En’s heart warmed, and she opened her arms to embrace Zhou Jin’an’s neck.
She proactively kissed him on the cheek.
"Husband, I’ve got it."
All her life, she was accustomed to giving and taking care of everyone around her, yet Zhou Jin’an was different from any other person.
He loved her, and he also kept correcting her habits, teaching her to love herself.
"Thank you."
Zhou Jin’an’s large hand encircled her slender waist, and with one hand, he supported her hips and lifted her up.
"I am very hungry now, do you know what to do?"
He raised an eyebrow, deciding to strike while the iron was hot.
Qiao En caught on, "Boss, how about we fill our stomachs first, then I’ll make sure you’re fed later?"
"You’ve got a deal!"
