Chapter 252: Chapter 252: Accomplish Great Things

Eight hours later, the plane arrived in Australia.

Outside the airport, a row of black sedans was parked there.

"Mom, hold on to me,"

When disembarking, Xiaolu called to Auntie Jiang.

Auntie Jiang was still unaccustomed, but Xiaolu affectionately linked arms with her.

A faint smile mixed on her face, yet her voice was pressed extremely low.

"Remember, from this moment on, I am your daughter."

Auntie Jiang’s heart was full of suspicion. Wasn’t it agreed that this was a trip? Why did it feel like something out of a spy story?

She skeptically looked at Sister Rong, who still appeared carefree and casual. "Auntie Jiang, we just need to look after the Young Madam. In a while, the young master will also come over after he’s done with his work. I am really looking forward to the little young master being born soon," Sister Rong spoke loudly.

Sister Rong’s voice was very loud.

The group walked out, and just as they reached the exit, people came to meet them.

"Young Madam, welcome!"

The leader in black first bowed, then the ten or so people behind him followed suit with a bow.

Auntie Jiang had never seen such a display and was quite shocked.

Fortunately, Xiaolu was always holding her arm, which was a great comfort to her.

"Let’s go," Xiaolu said softly.

The men in black swarmed around, escorting the three women toward the parking lot.

"Mom, you and Sister Rong sit in the front car," Xiaolu said before getting into the car.

Sister Rong laughed, "Auntie Jiang, we are about the same age. Let’s sit in this one. This car has more space and is more comfortable."

Sister Rong pulled Auntie Jiang into that car.

Auntie Jiang was slow to realize. She always felt this trip was not simple, but she couldn’t pinpoint what exactly was wrong.

However, she was obedient and followed Sister Rong into the frontmost car as suggested.

Xiaolu then went with the men in black to another black sedan at the back.

Once the car door closed, Xiaolu pulled out a gun from beneath the seat.

"How many people did they bring?"

"A total of eight, in four cars."

"And us?" Xiaolu asked again.

"Ten, in eight cars."

Upon hearing this, Xiaolu smirked, her lips curling into a grin.

"If they want to play, we’ll play along to the end, but remember, you must protect Sister Rong and Auntie Jiang," Xiaolu instructed.

The car started.

The convoy headed towards the villa they were staying at.

Midway there, the vehicle passed through a tunnel.

Xiaolu’s eyes immediately tensed up.

"Has that car passed?"

"Hmm."

Affirmative reply came through the earpiece.

Xiaolu’s heart slightly relaxed.

However, just as her car entered the tunnel, an unexpected event occurred; suddenly a postal van came from behind.

The van was fast and aimed straight for Xiaolu’s sedan.

"Here it comes," Xiaolu muttered under her breath, a hint of excitement appearing on her face as if she had been waiting just for this moment.

The two vehicles collided violently, and Xiaolu’s head knocked against the window glass due to the impact.

"Damn, you think I’m a sick cat when I don’t show my claws!"

She cursed, and immediately started shooting at the van.

The tunnel became chaotic.

But Xiaolu was fearless, continuing to exchange fire with the assailants.

"Xiaolu, we should leave now. There are brothers to handle the aftermath,"

Xiaolu loved the fight and did not want to just stop there.

"Three more shots."

This time, she did not aim at the windows but targeted the tires.

Just the sound of "bang bang bang" resonated, and the van’s tires deflated.

"Nice!"

Xiaolu let out a cry of surprise and a look of triumph crawled over her face.

The black sedan easily drove out of the tunnel.

About half an hour later, Xiaolu arrived at the villa.

The security system here was very well maintained; it was absolutely impossible for outsiders to break in.

That night, everyone stayed at the villa.

However, in the middle of the night, gunshots suddenly rang out from outside.

Xiaolu sprung out of bed, threw on her clothes, grabbed her gun, and dashed out the door.

It was the first time Auntie Jiang had encountered such a situation, and she was so scared that she immediately called Qiao En.

"Yayun, are you okay now?"

Qiao En had arrived in Singapore early, where Zhou Jin’an had arranged everything perfectly for her; she was now staying in a hotel.

"I’m okay."

Qiao En had just started to speak when she heard the sound of crashing from the other end of the line.

"Mom, what’s that noise there?"

Qiao En was alert.

But Auntie Jiang covered the phone receiver with her hand.

"It’s... it’s nothing, I just suddenly missed you, so I called."

The gunshots continued.

Auntie Jiang was terrified, but Sister Rong was sleeping deeply, completely unaware of what was happening outside.

Auntie Jiang thought of Xiaolu again, who seemed about the same age as Qiao En.

She got up and went towards Xiaolu’s bedroom, only to find unexpectedly that she was not there.

Auntie Jiang felt uneasy and walked straight out from the entrance hall.

However, as soon as she walked out of her room, a dark bullet shot toward her.

Auntie Jiang had no idea; she didn’t know how to protect herself.

"Get down!"

A crisp female voice suddenly rang out in the night sky, and then that figure rushed toward Auntie Jiang like lightning, pressing her to the ground.

Auntie Jiang was terrified, hugged her head with both hands, and lay trembling on the ground.

Xiaolu could not bother with anything else and shielded Auntie Jiang as they went back to the room.

"Just stay inside, do not come out."

Auntie Jiang dashed back into the room, but Xiaolu charged outside.

Auntie Jiang noticed that there were deep red blood stains spreading across Xiaolu’s chest.

However, she could not stop Xiaolu in time.

How long the outside gunfight lasted, no one knew. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

Only toward the latter part of the night did the gunshots stop, and tranquility returned.

Xiaolu came back with a body riddled with scars.

She had been shot in multiple places, with blood pouring out profusely.

"How did you get so badly hurt? I’ll call the hospital."

Auntie Jiang stood at the door, about to call an ambulance when she saw how severely injured Xiaolu was.

But Xiaolu grabbed her arm, "Auntie, help me call Director Zhou."

Auntie Jiang’s hands trembled uncontrollably; she found her phone but couldn’t manage to dial the number.

Xiaolu leaned against the wall, snatched the phone from Auntie Jiang’s hands, and dialed Zhou Jin’an’s number herself.

At that moment, it was still afternoon in China.

"Director Zhou, it was just as you predicted, they attacked fiercely and harshly."

It seemed not like a provocation, but rather a deadly intention.

"I will send more people over, are you all okay?"

"We’re all okay."

After speaking, Xiaolu hung up the phone.

Throughout she never mentioned her own injuries.

Moreover, she specifically instructed her subordinates not to mention the gunfight to Zhou Jin’an.

Singapore.

Qiao En leaned against the headboard, her mind in turmoil.

Just now, she had called Auntie Jiang three times, and no one picked up.

The "bang bang bang" sound echoed in her ears, and her heart was in her throat.

"What’s happening over there with mom?"

Qiao En made a video call to Zhou Jin’an.

He had just finished work, but he wasn’t in a hurry to go home, instead he stayed at the company to deal with a big issue.
