Pokémon Court-Chapter 362 *Title Hidden*
“Your next phase of assessment is quite unusual. Normally, ‘internship’ assessment is supervised by Gym Trainers. However, due to Mr. Shin’s violation of Gym Trainer rules, he is currently suspended. During this period, you will fully assume the responsibilities of a Gym Trainer… Whether this change is good or bad, I can’t say.”
“In addition, a new inspector will be responsible for supervision during this time, but I will remain the chief examiner. Do you understand?”
“I understand,” Terrance replied.
“Good. We’re about to arrive in Rogge City.”
Lucy Joy glanced outside. They were already nearing the borders of Rogge City. After returning from the deserted island to Ever Grande City and confirming Terrance’s previous phase of assessment, several days passed.
Shortly after entering Rogge City, Terrance suddenly received a call. He said in embarrassment: “Examiner Joy, I need to head to the Pokémon Center for something…”
Before Terrance could finish his sentence, Lucy Joy nonchalantly said, “In that case, I’ll head to Rogge Gym for a preliminary inspection. Join me as soon as you’re done.”
“Alright,” Terrance nodded and quickly made his way toward the Pokémon Center.
The call came from Crown Academy, and the news was a delightful surprise to Terrance.
Gallade had accomplished its set goals, reaching the 7th floor of the Tower of Confusion and the 25th floor of the Tower of Despair. Terrance hadn’t expected Gallade to progress so quickly, though, upon thinking, it made sense.
Gallade had already advanced to the 6th floor of the Tower of Confusion previously, extremely close to the 7th floor. So, making a breakthrough to the 7th floor shouldn’t have been difficult for Gallade.
As for the Tower of Despair, Terrance’s withdrawal caused a power vacuum on floors above 20. With many strong Pokémon no longer in its way, Gallade’s rapid ascent to higher floors was to be expected.
Moreover, in the past, Gallade had focused solely on solitary training and lacked actual battle experience. The continuous challenges in the Tower of Confusion and Tower of Despair seemed to have fully awakened its potential, gradually entering its best state.
At the Pokémon Center.
Picking up the video call, Akon immediately said, “Wurmple has evolved.”
“Evolved?” Terrance was surprised. “That was fast.”
“It’s actually quite slow. Counting from its hatching, it’s been nearly 20 days. By Wurmple’s average evolution timeline, evolving into Silcoon in 20 days is slightly below average.”
“True,” Terrance nodded. If Wurmple’s evolution had been delayed, it would have been due to insufficient nutrients and energy, coupled with time spent evading bird predators.
But this particular Wurmple had enjoyed the most luxurious care from the moment it hatched.
Evolving in 20 days, when put into perspective, was within the normal range.
“Thanks. Have the others shown signs of evolving?” Terrance asked.
After Wurmple, Caterpie, another Wurmple, Weedle, Scatterbug, Surskit, Spinarak, and Pineco had all hatched at different times.
Terrance’s future Gym’s Bug-type army was now complete, with eight larvae fully hatched. They were currently under the care of Teacher Teresa.
“I owe another favor to Teacher Teresa and Akon,” Terrance thought to himself.
“No, if there are any new developments, I’ll inform you immediately. Focus on your Gym assessment. I’ll send Gallade over now,” Akon said.
“Thanks for the trouble,” Terrance nodded.
Gallade was finally joining the team.
When Terrance first saw the little Ralts that could only use Teleport, he hadn’t imagined it would one day become his Pokémon.
Life is full of surprises.
On the Pokémon Center’s transfer machine, a beam of light flashed, and a red-and-white Poké Ball appeared before Terrance.
Picking up the Poké Ball, Terrance immediately released Gallade. The silent swordsman appeared beside him. After taking a moment to assess the unfamiliar environment, Gallade turned its gaze to Terrance. ɽ
“Looking forward to working with you,” Terrance said, extending his hand.
“…” Gallade reached out its hand in return.
In Rogge City, at the Pokémon Center, Gallade officially joined the team.

Meanwhile, in Rogge Gym.
“Inspector Lucy Joy, pleased to meet you. I’m Aida, the second examiner assigned to supervise this assessment,” said a young man.
“Hello, Mr. Aida. I hope we have a pleasant cooperation,” Lucy Joy replied.
“Huh? Isn’t Terrance, the Gym Trainer candidate, with you?” Aida asked, noticing no one beside Lucy Joy.
Since Lucy Joy was the first examiner for all of Terrance’s assessments, the two were expected to stay close.
“He’ll be here soon,” Lucy Joy answered. At that moment, the Rogge Gym apprentice behind Aida interjected, “Inspector Aida, there’s a challenger.”
“Oh, a challenger, huh? Let them wait for a bit. The new Gym Trainer is still on the way,” Aida replied.
“Understood…” The apprentice sighed, looking visibly dispirited.
Choosing to become an apprentice at Rogge Gym… what a terrible choice it was. At this rate, Rogge Gym is probably not far from having its Gym status revoked. The Gym apprentice was feeling bitter. He already has a rough idea why Gym Leader Shin was taken away, but Shin holds a high position at Rogge Pharmaceuticals in addition to being a Gym Trainer. Even if he lost his Gym Trainer status, it’s not a big deal. But it’s different for him…
Lucy Joy and Aida, both inspectors from Kanto and Hoenn, quickly found common ground in their profession. Their conversation naturally turned to Terrance’s performance in his “actual combat” assessment.
Aida was aware that Terrance was Hoenn’s Top Coordinator and had endorsed some advertisements. Such information was easy to find in Hoenn, even without specific information from the Hoenn League. A simple online search could provide plenty.
Lucy Joy had also looked up information on Terrance after returning to Ever Grande City. His title as a Top Coordinator was currently his most prominent achievement, and it was earned just recently.
But that title alone didn’t explain his impressive performance on the deserted island.
Ordinary Trainers would usually struggle to survive in such an environment, let alone a Coordinator.
“Terrance has arrived outside the Gym. I’ll go fetch him,” Lucy Joy’s phone buzzed.
“Alright,” Aida nodded, musing to himself, “Meeting several challengers right after entering the Gym? Isn’t this a bit too harsh on him? There’s not even a temporary Gym Trainer to guide him… This should be interesting. Elite Four Glacia sure gave me an intriguing assignment.”
At the same time, the Rogge Gym apprentice was greeting four challengers who had arrived.
Unbeknownst to Terrance, his first task as a temp Gym Trainer would involve four consecutive battles.
