Chapter 1471: Fallon

"Wow, Big Brother’s mother is beautiful," Aysel said, her smile spreading all over her face. Kent smiled too, seeing how genuinely she believed in what she said.

Not that he doubted that.

His mother is indeed beautiful, like every other Elf. She was the most beautiful person he knew growing up, and now that he looks at her again, even if through a painting, he knows she was right: his mother is indeed beautiful.

"She is indeed cute, like Aysel."

The little human smiled, but then her face turned solemn. "Aysel is not beautiful. Aysel doesn’t have beautiful princess clothes like the little girls."

She sigh and bend her head down.

She indeed had no proper clothes, which suggested she had no money to keep her appearance on point, as many would.

Kent saw that her sister was also the same. The clothes around her aren’t something someone as beautiful as her should be wearing.

However, despite knowing all this, hearing what Aysel said, he merely smiled and shook his head. "Aysel is beautiful regardless of what she is wearing.

Beauty is not defined by what you are wearing or how you look. At the end of the day, if you have a beautiful appearance but are rotten inwardly, you become the ugliest person."

He paused and brushed her head with his right hand before adding, "However, if Aysel wants princess clothing, I will take her shopping later and buy her all the princess clothes she wants."

"Really?" she beamed with joy.

"Yeah. I may not look like it, but I am actually very rich." Not to brag, but he is rich for someone his age.

"Aysel trusts Big Brother. Also, can we stop and eat first? I am starving."

Kent nodded and set her down. He then snapped his fingers, and a bowl of fruit that he had asked the Tower to prepare appeared.

"You can start with fruit salad," Kent said, and Aysel started to eat. Seeing this, her sister shook her head but said nothing. She was still in Kent’s arms, so she merely smiled, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Of course, she had no idea Kent had long discovered Aysel’s secret. While he is not one hundred percent certain at first, the Tower confirmed Aysel is one of the sins.

He had no idea which sin she was. However, when she kept hammering on about food, he decided to find the right time to see if she is the Sin of Gluttony or if she merely likes food.

Now, watching her eat, he knew which sin she was.

But he said nothing. Mostly, people like this are hidden from the universe because of their unique traits. Many gods, Supremes, and Celestials would not hesitate to refine them and extract their talents for themselves.

A devourer getting the sin of Gluttony will become unstoppable, just as a succubus possessing the sin of lust would become the most dangerous woman to ever meet.

Because of this, he decided not to say anything for now and play along.

He turned and looked at Aysel’s sister, pulling her back slightly. "We haven’t been properly introduced. My name is Jaqen, pleasure meeting you."

"Well met." She nodded, a bit embarrassed, holding hands with Kent. "You can call me Fallon."

"Fallon." Kent furrowed his brow. "You wouldn’t happen to be a phoenix, would you?"

"No." Fallon narrowed her eyes slightly, clearly not expecting that question. "But why did you ask?"

"I once knew a Phoenix called Fallon." Kent didn’t add much context since the Phoenix was from his life as Jest.

Back when Jest left the Whispering Wind Sword Sect to pursue his dreams and also to run from those who sought to get their hands on him because his name appeared on the Sword Dao tablet, he met a demigod Phoenix who saved him from some bad people.

She was also called Fallon. It was a short encounter, but he never forgot her generosity.

Fallon nodded at his answer and turned to look at the painting. Kent also did, letting go of her hand finally.

"You can have it if you want."

"I wouldn’t. This is a painting of your mother; gifting it to me holds no purpose."

"I insist. She is also a painter like you, so keep it."

Fallon turned and looked at him for a few heartbeats before a nod came from her. Although the painting is of importance to him, he didn’t feel like keeping it.

He also had no plans to sell it, so the least he could do was gift it to someone. After standing there for a few minutes, Kent pulled her aside so they could sit and talk.

The store is not that big, but he could tell they lived there. This further made him conclude that they are struggling. So, being the gentleman he is, he knew he had to help.

However, he didn’t want to make it seem like he had pity for them, which was why he wanted to help them.

"I want to join you and Aysel to paint and sell."

"Huh?" She was stunned upon hearing what Kent said.

"Well, I can tell you are passionate about art, even if you are terrible at it."

"Hey, no need to be rude," she pouted and threw a playful punch, which Kent deftly caught and pulled her closer, wrapping his left arm around her shoulder.

"I ain’t looking down on you, Fallon. You actually have the heart of an artist, just not good at the painting aspect.

I, on the other hand, seem to have discovered my love for painting, and thanks to you and Aysel helping me, I managed to bring out my hidden talent.

So I want to paint and sell it with you ladies. This way, we both can make money and perhaps even make a name for ourselves."

Fallon nodded, but Kent could tell she wasn’t comfortable with that. She turned and looked at Aysel, who was busy eating her fill.

"Making money is good. However, I am not sure about the making-a-name part."

He raised his brow and smiled, knowing his chance to come clean and win their genuine trust had come. "Is it because Aysel is the Sin of Gluttony?"

Fallon’s body jerked up, and at once, her aura changed from True Immortal to Immortal Monarch. The paintbrush on the table, four feet from them, flew and turned into a short sword.

She pointed it at him and asked, "Who are you?"

Even Aysel stopped eating and stood up, her expression narrowing at Kent. To his shock, she also happened to be a True Immortal despite the Tower confirming she was only a Root Saint and that her age was merely 18.

Clearly, there was something else at play that even the Tower couldn’t see through. However, he wasn’t worried despite being surrounded by an Immortal Monarch and a True Immortal.

Kent stood up and snapped his fingers, sealing the store using the Soul Universe. He then turned to Aysel and smiled before turning back to Fallon.

"My name is not really Jaqen. Of course, at one point in time, I was known for a while by that name. However, now, I go by a different name."

His appearance started to change. His hair changed from black to the usual purple with strands of red and gold. Then his eyes also changed, taking on a reddish-golden hue.

But it didn’t stop there. His horns appeared, and golden scales lined the sides of his neck. His physique shifted, giving him that dragonkin look.

"My name is Kent Madson. Pleasure meeting you two."

Fallon and her sister, Aysel, widened their eyes, their stances faltering for a moment.
