Prosperous Marriage: Married to My Brother-in-law-Chapter 712: Bet (2)_1
Jimmy Horne’s eyes sparkled, his dark pupils shining like black pearls as he looked at Camila Ruiz and said proudly, "Who told you to hide it and not let me eat? But, Stinky Camila, that pink little nightgown you wore last night was so cute..."
"Don’t call me Stinky Camila anymore!" Camila retorted. "I’m not stinky at all; I smell nice!" Girls love to be beautiful. Even though Camila Ruiz wasn’t even four years old yet, she was no different and loved looking pretty. Her archenemy calling her Stinky Camila every day infuriated her.
"Let me smell." Jimmy Horne deliberately leaned his handsome little face close to Camila Ruiz’s neck. She pushed him hard, making him fall and sit on the ground.
Jimmy Horne immediately scrambled up and started fighting with Camila Ruiz.
The nannies hurriedly separated the two children.
Noah Reyes was first shocked, then couldn’t help but laugh when he saw his son’s expression change so quickly as he started fighting.
"Daddy, Billy is bullying me again!"
Hansen Ruiz finally emerged with a smile. He’d been watching from inside for a while, only coming out when the two little ones started fighting again. Ah, Jimmy Horne, he mused. Living in my house, eating food my wife cooks, taking up so much of her time, and still constantly at odds with my daughter. These two little ones are natural-born rivals. They’re like this at such a young age; who knows how they’ll fight when they grow up?
Jimmy Horne, so domineering!
"Uncle Ruiz, this time it was Stinky Camila who pushed me first!" Jimmy Horne was annoyed that Camila Ruiz had played the victim. Women, he grumbled inwardly, they just love to blame others first.
"Daddy, you see? Billy always calls me Stinky Camila. Where do I stink? Brother Ivan wouldn’t call me that. Daddy, why isn’t Brother Ivan living with us instead of Billy?" Camila Ruiz asked, puzzled.
In Camila Ruiz’s eyes, Ivan Horne was the best brother. Although Billy Horne was also a brother, he just didn’t get along with her. The two of them would fight at least three times a day, and the adults joked that the sun would rise in the west if those two didn’t fight for a day.
Billy Horne immediately made a face at her.
Hansen Ruiz chuckled, pulling his daughter and Jimmy Horne towards a nanny. "Take the kids inside to wash their hands and get ready for dinner," he instructed. As for the dozen or so men in black outside, he would deal with them.
"Uncle, have you eaten yet?" Jimmy Horne didn’t immediately follow the nanny inside. Instead, he returned to the doorway and looked at Noah Reyes through the door.
I don’t believe this uncle is my daddy, Jimmy thought, but I really like being close to him. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because he looks a lot like me.
Noah Reyes smiled and shook his head.
He wanted to bring his son back to the Manor and enjoy dinner with him, savoring the joy of father and son.
"Uncle Ruiz, does Auntie Rachel make a lot of food? Can we invite the uncle to eat with us?" Jimmy Horne turned and asked Hansen Ruiz.
This kid... Hansen thought. So this is what they mean by a blood connection being thicker than water. Look, Jimmy Horne is the perfect example. His father sowed his seeds and then vanished like steam, disappearing without a trace, yet the boy still shows such kindness.
"Then you shouldn’t eat. Give your portion to this uncle," Camila Ruiz interjected.
Jimmy Horne immediately responded, "You share some of yours with me then. We eat and live together..." Realizing what he’d said, he quickly shut his mouth. Camila Ruiz, however, looked slightly displeased. She turned away, ignored him, and went into the house by herself.
"Hey, are you mad?" Jimmy Horne immediately left all the adults behind and trotted after Camila Ruiz into the house.
Noah Reyes’s smile deepened as he gazed intently at Hansen Ruiz, who was also smiling and looking right back at him.
My son tangled with Hansen’s daughter and taught Hansen a lesson for me. Good lad. That little girl has quite the personality; I like her. A match for my boy? Heh, interesting.
Hansen Ruiz swaggered to the door, looking down at Noah Reyes with a smirk. "Well, well, Noah, you’re quite capable, aren’t you? Found this place so quickly."
’Noah’? To hell with ’Noah’! Noah Reyes’s handsome face darkened instantly. His surname was Reyes, not some cutesy ’Noah’.
That damn smiling tiger was clearly provoking him.
"Are you going to hand over my son willingly, or shall I have my men tear down your villa’s gate?" Noah Reyes said coldly.
Tonight, he was definitely taking his son with him.
No one was going to stop him.
"Ah, ’Noah,’ I really don’t know what you mean by ’willingly.’ So, what do you propose?" Hansen Ruiz asked, crossing his arms with an infuriating smile that Noah Reyes found so irritating he wanted to shut him up for good.
My good friend entrusted Jimmy to my care, Hansen thought. I’ll be damned if I let Noah just take him.
"And another thing, didn’t you hear Billy calling you ’Uncle’? Heh, how amusing. Billy calls you ’Uncle,’ and he calls me ’Uncle Ruiz.’ So, doesn’t that make us brothers then? Come on, call me ’Big Bro,’" Hansen teased, his words making Noah Reyes want to tear him apart.
Noah Reyes maintained his composure, his face expressionless, just glaring coldly at Hansen Ruiz.
"Boss!"
The men behind Noah Reyes all glared at Hansen Ruiz with displeasure.
With a single command from their boss, they would storm the villa and retrieve their young master. They didn’t care if it was Hansen Ruiz or Ugly Ruiz; harboring their young master was a capital offense!
"Hansen Ruiz, I’ll say it again: hand over my son, or I will have my men level your villa. I’m not afraid of you, Hansen Ruiz!" Noah Reyes warned icily once more.
I’ve long wanted to strip the hide off this smiling tiger who clearly enjoys watching a good show, he thought.
"Heh, sorry, Mr. Reyes, but your son isn’t here," Hansen said. "Oh, and it’s time for my dinner. My wife has prepared a feast, so I’ll be heading in. Forgive me for not having time to entertain you. Feel free to reduce my villa to rubble if you like. I’ll just go to Adele for compensation. As it happens, I’m tired of this place anyway and was thinking about getting a new villa."
With that, Hansen Ruiz gestured a goodbye to Noah Reyes, turned, and headed into the house.
Noah Reyes’s face remained impassive. As Hansen Ruiz turned to leave, he asked in a low tone, "Adele... she’ll be back soon, right?"
Without stopping, Hansen Ruiz replied with a laugh, "She’s not my wife, how would I know? You should be well aware of that yourself." The audacity to ask me, he thought. If Noah knows Jimmy is here, he must know where Adele is.
Noah Reyes clenched his fists, desperately wanting to punch Hansen Ruiz so hard he’d send him back into his mother’s womb. But in the end, he did nothing, just coldly watched Hansen Ruiz walk into the house.
