Chapter 1005: Chapter 1005: Do Whatever Makes You Happy

After Lily Turner left Alice Turner’s room, she dragged Easton Holmes back to her own room. The moment she entered, she closed the door and began talking to him: "Honey! If you feel bored here, you can go back first. I’ll head back tomorrow, and I’ll have my sister take me home."

Apart from her parents, it was just her and her sister here. He, being the man that he is, would definitely find it boring. She had just neglected him; she was busy chatting with her sister and had abandoned him with her dad without a care.

"I never feel bored when I’m with you." Easton Holmes reached out and held Lily Turner. He wasn’t just saying this to make her happy; he truly felt that way. Wherever he was with her, he never got bored.

Being with her brought him joy and happiness; perhaps his wife didn’t quite understand this, as she always seemed to want him to leave.

Lily Turner thought Easton Holmes was lying to her, deceiving her, and raised her head to stare at him unblinkingly. Seeing his earnest expression, she realized he was speaking the truth, "I’m just like you. As long as we’re together, I don’t feel bored."

Knowing her husband wasn’t lying, she smiled happily.

"But as soon as you see your sister, I have to step aside." Easton Holmes lifted his hand and playfully pinched Lily Turner’s nose, showing his dissatisfaction at being abandoned by her earlier.

This time he was truly bothered, not kidding around. Every time she saw her sister, she cast him aside as if he were nothing. As her husband, he ranked lower than her sister in her heart.

Lily Turner noticed the man didn’t seem to be joking and appeared a bit upset. She quickly turned to face him, "Ever since we got married, my opportunities to see my sister have become fewer. While you and I see each other every day, and I just wanted to take this rare chance to chat with my sister a bit more, are you really upset?"

She tugged at his clothes, her eyes cautiously watching him, waiting for his expression to change.

"You’ve really made me sad."

Seeing the caution in Lily Turner’s eyes, Easton Holmes felt a bit hurt inside. Was he really so intimidating? Why did she have to act so cautiously when talking to him?

Upon hearing Easton Holmes say she made him sad, Lily Turner, assuming he truly was upset, asked again, "Are you really upset?"

She stared at him without blinking. Sure enough, his expression had indeed darkened somewhat.

"Yes! I’m really upset. I’m practically infuriated with you." Easton Holmes released Lily Turner’s hand and turned to walk towards the window. He wanted to face the window to calm down, otherwise he would be fuming.

Seeing this, Lily Turner hurriedly chased after him, calling out to his back as she did: "Don’t be mad! I’ll apologize, okay? Sorry! I shouldn’t have left you downstairs self..."

Walking ahead, Easton Holmes suddenly stopped and turned to look at her. Fortunately, there was a bit of distance between them; otherwise, she would have bumped into him.

"Don’t apologize anymore, or I’ll really get mad." Easton Holmes pointed at Lily Turner who had chased after him to apologize. Seeing her look so aggrieved, he suddenly felt a pang of heartache and pulled her into his arms, "I don’t mean to blame you. I’m just...sigh! Forget it. As long as you’re happy, you can do whatever you want in the future."
