Though Michael Linton’s mood was no longer as calm, he hadn’t forgotten what he came here to do today; he knew his purpose very clearly.
"We’re family, no need for formalities with me."
He took a sip from the water Lily Turner handed him, politely set it back on the coffee table, and as he straightened up, he tilted his head to look at Christopher Turner and Sophia Wood, "Mr. Turner! Mrs. Turner! We’re here today mainly to discuss the wedding of the two kids."
He didn’t beat around the bush or make long-winded introductions; he went straight to the point from the start.
As soon as Michael said this, besides himself and Easton Holmes, everyone else present was taken aback, including the person involved, Lily Turner.
She had no idea Easton and his uncle were here to discuss this. She had considered many possibilities before, but this hadn’t crossed her mind at all.
When did this guy discuss this with his uncle? And why didn’t she know anything about it? He really kept it well under wraps.
Lily instinctively looked at Easton, who was sitting next to her, and just as she did, Easton happened to be looking in her direction too. Their eyes met unexpectedly.
"We’ll settle this when we get back!"
Lily silently glared at Easton and then turned her gaze away to the side.
Whatever she wanted to convey was crystal clear to him, but he didn’t respond, stunned for a moment, he also turned his gaze elsewhere.
At this moment, Christopher snapped out of his shock, and responded immediately to what Michael had just said, "For Easton and Lily’s wedding, whatever you think is suitable."

"Easton himself is quite good, and besides, they’re already married legally. You can’t have them divorce right after marriage," Christopher voiced his opinion quickly before others could speak. On one hand, he was expressing his stance to Easton and Michael, and on the other, reminding Sophia not to go overboard.
As soon as Christopher finished speaking, Easton immediately spoke up, "I will not divorce Lily, nor will I separate from her."
He made his point firmly, with a serious and earnest expression, not a hint of perfunctoriness.

"Both kids are wonderful, and they are particularly suited for each other, especially since they already have a baby," Michael chimed in, advocating for Easton and Lily, "Don’t ruin a beautiful marriage over some trivial reasons."
His last line was primarily directed at Sophia, knowing well enough that her strong opposition to this marriage was closely related to his sister’s disruptive visit to the family.
