Chapter 656: Chapter 656 You Really Have No Conscience

Seeing that Lily Turner’s emotions had stabilized much compared to before, and that she could even joke with him, Easton Holmes finally felt relieved.

"If he dares to ignore me, just wait and see how I’ll deal with him." He played along, joking with her to try to lighten the atmosphere.

"You wouldn’t dare!"

Even though Lily knew Easton was joking, she still discontentedly pointed a finger at him, showing a protective parental stance.

The look in her eyes clearly told him that if he dared to deal with her son, she’d deal with him instead.

"I wouldn’t dare!"

Easton reached out and took the finger pointing at him, putting it to his mouth for a playful nip, "With such a fierce mom as his, even if I borrowed another spine, I wouldn’t dare."

He said this while playfully biting her hand again.

"You’re annoying! Biting me again!"

Lily glared disapprovingly at the man biting her, pulling her hand back from his grasp and stepping out of his embrace.

After leaving his embrace, she suddenly urged him, "I’m okay now, hurry and go back to the Military Department."

After crying, she felt much better and couldn’t keep holding onto him, knowing he wasn’t someone with nothing to do all day.

"You’re really heartless, trying to chase me away so soon."

Easton pinched her nose gently, calling her heartless, but his actions were as soft as can be.

Lily didn’t really want to send him off, but realizing he should be at the Military Department at this time, she had to urge him to leave again, "Now that you know I’m heartless, why haven’t you left yet?"

As she spoke, she actively pushed him toward the door.

"Got it! I’ll disappear from your sight, you heartless little one!" Seeing Lily looking much more normal now, Easton decided to go downstairs to talk with Aiden Taylor, leaving the room as she wished. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

After leaving the room, Easton went directly to the living room.

Aiden was sitting in the living room and hadn’t left; like Easton, he wanted to talk about Lily Turner.

Seeing Easton walk in, both Aiden and Callix Linton subconsciously straightened up, with Callix speaking first, "Is Lily okay?"

Just now, Aunt Li came down from upstairs and reported the situation to Callix firsthand, telling him that Lily had been crying in Easton’s arms. Finally, he could let go of the heart he held in his throat.

Seeing the girl cry and release her emotions was a relief; before, watching her neither cry nor complain, he was genuinely worried she’d hold everything in.

"She’s okay for now."

Easton’s face didn’t look good as he strode over to sit on the sofa, and as soon as he sat down, he voiced his concerns to Aiden, "Father! Could you not be so hasty? Lily just found out about this and can’t accept it so quickly."

Every word he spoke was in defense of his wife, and the other two men listened carefully and understood clearly.

Seeing him protect his wife this way made the other two men feel very gratified and happy.

"Is Lily born on December 3, 1995?" Aiden knew Easton was unhappy with him because of what happened earlier, but he had something important to verify, pretending not to notice Easton’s dissatisfaction.

Aiden’s sudden question confused not only Easton but Callix as well; they didn’t understand why he was asking this.

Even though they didn’t understand, Easton still answered, "Yes, is there anything wrong with that?"
