Worried about accidentally hurting the pregnant Lily Turner, before Athena Linton could pull her over, Serena Zimmerman quickly yanked her to her side.
"Careful, kid."
Concerned that this girl wouldn’t stop, she sternly reminded her as she pulled her over.
Athena Linton was suddenly pulled away by Serena Zimmerman, and didn’t react immediately to what was happening. She opened her mouth, wanting to ask full of questions, but then saw her own mom glaring at her.
Even though she hadn’t figured out what was going on, she obediently shut her mouth.
Lily Turner thought she could quickly get back to her mom, but Athena’s interruption delayed her for a few minutes. Once Athena and her mom left, Lily turned back to Callix Linton.
"Grandpa! I told my mom to come pick me up later." This time she didn’t address Callix in a questioning tone; she directly told him her decision.
"We’re about to eat lunch, let’s call your mom after lunch to have her pick you up." Before Sophia Wood called, Callix had already thought about this. He planned to discuss it with Lily after lunch but Sophia beat him to it.
Lily paused, thinking they were about to eat lunch anyway, so she might as well wait until after to go back.
"Alright."
She responded to Callix and then picked up the phone again, placing it against her ear. She looked at the three people next to her before speaking softly, "Mom! Are you still listening?"
The earlier delay had been a bit long, and she wasn’t sure if her mom was still on the phone waiting.

Earlier, when Lily said she’d reply soon, Sophia had kept the phone to her ear, waiting, albeit longer than she anticipated she never took the phone away.
Hearing her mom was still on the line, Lily wasted no time, quickly saying, "Mom! I’ll call you after lunch so you can come pick me up."
She conveyed the plan made with Callix to her mom over the phone.
"Okay, I’ll wait for your call."
Sophia thought Easton Holmes’s family might disagree with this, but the outcome surprised her—it was an unexpected delight.
Her cheerful tone couldn’t hide her excitement.
Through the phone, Lily could clearly sense Sophia’s happiness, and she couldn’t help but smile, excitement in her own voice, "Okay! I’ll call you later."
After hanging up, Lily noticed the other three were watching her, and she frowned in confusion. Was there something on her face?
She lifted her hand to touch her cheek, but found nothing, puzzled, "Why are you all staring at me like that? Do I have flowers carved on my face?"
She moved around the cabinet in front of her and sat down next to Athena.
"Yes! Beautiful flowers carved on your face."
In a good mood, Lily joked, and Athena didn’t leave her to entertain herself alone; she joined in on the joke.
Before Lily could respond, Athena continued with something that made the other three feel a headache, "Goddess sister! Can I come with you when you go back to your mom’s place?"
