Chapter 743: Chapter 743: Do You Really Think I’m Here Just for a Free Meal?

Thomas Fisher had already had dinner with Easton Holmes before coming here with Alice Turner. He genuinely did not come to crash the meal.

He sat down earlier because he couldn’t refuse the warm invitation. Her father was so enthusiastic, it would have seemed impolite not to sit down. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

When Alice Turner first left the private room, Thomas wanted to leave with her, but as he prepared to get up, he caught Isla Lane giving him a strange look, and he stopped instinctively.

Earlier, seeing Isla Lane and Sophia Wood chatting animatedly, and Alexander Shaw being entangled by Christopher Turner for a drink, Thomas Fisher used the excuse of going to the restroom to leave the room.

He mainly wanted to get some air and look for her. Primarily, he was out to find her, thinking she might be sitting in another room eating.

He didn’t expect that as soon as he walked out, he would see her standing in front of the window, lost in thought. Without any hesitation, he walked towards her.

"Do you really think I’m here for a free meal?"

As Thomas Fisher approached Alice Turner, he turned and leaned against the windowsill, looking in the same direction as her.

Alice Turner tilted her head to glance at the man standing beside her, with a look of curiosity: "If you’re not here for a free meal, then what are you doing here? To join the fun?"

Thinking that the man might just be here to join the fun, she glanced at him irritably.

"What’s wrong with me joining the fun? Are you not welcoming me?" Thomas Fisher completely ignored the disapproving glance Alice Turner gave him and smiled at her roguishly.

Just as Alice Turner was about to retort, she suddenly saw Isla Lane emerging from the private room and instinctively stood straight, watching her mother-in-law who had just walked out.

Having not heard Alice Turner speak for some time, Thomas Fisher frowned in confusion and followed her gaze to the hallway.

Right at that moment, Isla Lane, who had walked out of the private room, spotted the two standing at the hallway’s end. She paused for a moment before walking towards them.

"Mom!"

"Aunt Isla!"

Seeing Isla Lane approaching, Alice Turner and Thomas Fisher greeted her politely.

It seemed like Isla Lane was chatting with Sophia Wood, but in reality, she was secretly observing the happenings on Thomas Fisher’s side. As soon as he left the private room under the pretense of going to the restroom, she noticed immediately.

After a while and not seeing him return, she thought he surely hadn’t gone to the restroom for convenience, so she left her seat and walked out of the private room.

Sure enough, as soon as she walked out, she saw the two standing at the end of the hallway, chatting and laughing about something unknown.

"Why aren’t you two inside eating?"

Isla Lane pointed in the direction of the private room, as if genuinely there to find them to come inside and eat.

"I’m not hungry, I don’t want to eat."

Earlier, when she saw herself with Thomas Fisher downstairs, Alice Turner noticed Isla Lane giving her peculiar looks as if something was going on between her and Thomas Fisher.

At this moment, as she stepped out of the private room, she wondered what her mother-in-law could possibly mean? Supervising her? Or catching her in the act of something?

Isla Lane did not respond, her gaze shifted to Thomas Fisher again, "What about you? Full yet?"

She had been watching him, noticing he hadn’t eaten much, and he didn’t seem to be there to eat at all.

"Yeah!"

Thomas Fisher nodded. At this point, he was indeed full, but he didn’t fill up here.
