Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 744: I’ve Always Been a Good Baby
Hearing Thomas Fisher say he’s full, Isla Lane was even more convinced about her earlier judgment that he wasn’t here to eat. Thinking of this, she casually said, "Since when did your appetite become so small? I didn’t see you eating much just now."
Thomas Fisher had eaten many times at the Shaw Family’s place, and Isla Lane knew his appetite well. Today, seeing him eat so little, she was convinced he was lying.
One came out after eating just a little, and the other didn’t eat at all. No matter how she looked at it, these two seemed off to her.
"Auntie Isla! You really do care about me."
The "care" Thomas mentioned was in quotes. While eating inside, he noticed Isla looking at him strangely, and now she still looked at him as if he were a bad person.
Bad person?!
Thomas Fisher was startled by his own thought. He raised his hand to touch his face; did he look like a bad person?
In Isla’s mind, she already believed something was off between Thomas and Alice Turner. Now, no matter what he did, she thought he had ulterior motives.
Seeing him touch his face, she wondered if he was hinting at something and slapped his hand that touched his face, "What are you touching your face for? Trying to show me how handsome you are?"
With those words, she directly grabbed and pulled down his hand from his face.
"Auntie Isla! Why are you slapping me? That really hurt, look, my hand’s all red from your slap." Actually, Isla hadn’t used much force, and Thomas didn’t feel much pain, but he still extended the hand that had just been slapped, pretending it was very painful.
Isla saw right through Thomas’s act, raised her hand, and slapped his hand in front of her eyes, "Does it hurt more now?"
Little rascal! Trying to fool me.
This time, she didn’t hold back and used a bit of force.
"Auntie Isla! Did you really hit me?"
At first, he was pretending to be in pain, but now he really felt it.
Thomas Fisher regretted it, regretting putting his hand in front of Isla. He was certain she wouldn’t slap him again, but the outcome made him regret it deeply.
"That’s what you get for not behaving!"
Isla’s remark had a double meaning. She couldn’t openly tell Thomas to stop clinging to Alice Turner, so she could only hint at it like this, unsure if he understood.
Though Thomas hadn’t picked up on Isla’s underlying meaning yet, he could tell her words held more than what they seemed.
"Auntie Isla! I’ve always been a good boy, ask my third brother if you don’t believe me." He put away his roguish smile and switched to a cutesy act.
"Pfft!"
Seeing such a grown man like Thomas acting cute, Alice Turner found it utterly hilarious and couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Seeing both Thomas and Isla looking her way, she quickly covered her mouth with her hand.
Isla glanced at the laughing Alice with her hand over her mouth but said nothing. She turned back to Thomas, "You little rascal! You’re getting cheekier by the day."
She pointed at him with an expression of discontent.
"How am I getting cheekier? I’m becoming more lovable." Thomas shamelessly complimented himself on being cute, and after praising himself, he started urging Isla, "Auntie Isla! You better get back to the private room, or Uncle Shaw will be looking for you soon."
