After hearing what Lily Turner said, Easton Holmes realized that she leaned over to explain to Luke Crowe. How could she think Luke was angry? That guy wasn’t so easily upset; they were just joking with him earlier.
"Sis-in-law! I’m not angry, because I knew you and the boss were just joking with me earlier. I was just messing around, too." Luke Crowe never thought Lily would think he was upset, let alone explain herself to him, which made him feel a bit apologetic for the misunderstanding.
He specifically turned back to clarify things to her, insisting he wasn’t angry earlier at all.

Saying that, she handed the thermal container through the window.

After eating so much breakfast and snacking on fruits in the kitchen earlier, Lily didn’t feel hungry at all. But since it was her mom’s thoughtful gesture, she accepted the thermal container offered by Alice.
