If it weren’t for Serena Zimmerman repeatedly reminding and urging her last night, Athena Linton would have knocked on the door right after waking up this morning, rather than waiting till now when she heard some activity to come over.

"You’ve been awake for a while?"

Lily Turner asked Athena Linton, tilting her head as she tidied the messy blankets.

"Yes, I’ve been waiting for quite some time."

Athena Linton walked over and unceremoniously sat down at the edge of the bed.

Why is this girl so clingy?

Maybe it’s a family trait; the one who just went downstairs was very clingy too.

Lily Turner shook her head helplessly and stepped towards the bathroom, "You sit tight, I need to attend to some business."

This girl might be clingy, but it’s not like she’ll be clingy for much longer. The wedding’s over, and her uncle and aunt should be heading back to the Imperial Capital soon.

After attending to her urgent need and quickly freshening up, Lily Turner emerged from the bathroom.

At that moment, Easton Holmes happened to walk in with breakfast, and upon seeing her come out of the bathroom, hurried over with the breakfast tray, "Honey! I’m back, did you miss me?"

As he spoke, he leaned in to kiss her, but she tilted her head to dodge it.

"Don’t be silly, Athena’s here."

Worried that he might say something inappropriate or do anything untoward, Lily Turner pointed towards the bed and quietly reminded him.

Easton Holmes followed her pointing finger and then noticed Athena Linton sitting at the edge of the bed, his eyes flashing with displeasure, "Athena! Why aren’t you staying in your own room and running around aimlessly?"

It wasn’t really a question but a challenge, yet he wasn’t expecting an explanation from her.

"I’m not running around aimlessly; I came to play with my goddess sister." Athena Linton completely ignored her brother’s annoyance, got up and walked over to join Lily Turner, casting a disdainful glance at her own brother. She clung to her goddess sister and asked, "Goddess sister! You haven’t eaten yet?"

As she clung to her goddess sister, she tilted her head to give her brother a smug look.

This girl! She’s clearly just here to cause trouble, isn’t she?

Easton Holmes was almost ready to lift this smug girl out, but then he thought that doing so would upset his wife, so for her sake, he let the girl stay for now.

"Your goddess sister hasn’t eaten yet, why don’t you bring her breakfast?" If she’s not leaving, he might as well give her something to do.

"Sure thing!"

Athena Linton happily agreed, took the breakfast Easton Holmes handed to her, and walked over to the sofa arm in arm with her goddess sister, completely ignoring her brother.

Lily Turner glanced back at Easton Holmes, shooting him a look that said, You’re bullying kids now?

Feigning ignorance about his wife’s message, Easton Holmes grinned foolishly and followed them.

Following behind them, he almost felt like he was the third wheel.

"Athena! You just..."

"Athena! Come out, your mom wants to talk to you about something."

Lily Turner was just about to have Athena Linton put down what she was carrying when Serena Zimmerman’s voice suddenly called from the doorway, making her reflexively turn her head towards the door.

Athena Linton bent down to place what she was holding on the coffee table but didn’t go towards the door. She asked while standing there, "Mom! What do you need? Come in and tell me."
