Serena Zimmerman had no real reason to look for Athena Linton. Just as she was getting ready to go downstairs to see if there was anything she needed to do, she stepped out of her room and saw Athena Linton’s door was wide open. She peeked in, but the room was empty.

The first thought that came to her mind was that her daughter had gone to find Lily Turner again. Without further thought, she immediately headed toward Easton Holmes and Lily Turner’s room. Through the half-open door, she indeed saw her daughter was inside.

"Come out, mom wants to talk to you."

Kids may not understand, but as an adult, she couldn’t afford to act clueless.

"Why can’t you just come in and say it?"

Athena Linton reluctantly headed toward the door, but as she did, she didn’t forget to turn back and say to Lily Turner, "Goddess sister! I’ll be right back, okay?"

Both Easton Holmes and Lily Turner could see the real reason Serena Zimmerman was calling Athena Linton out. Easton Holmes was secretly pleased, while Lily Turner appeared much more composed in comparison.

Without a word, she looked at Athena Linton and then sat down on the sofa. Whether Athena stayed or left didn’t matter to her anymore.

"Easton! Lily! Since you two are here, Athena and I are going out to handle some things." When Athena Linton reached the door, Serena Zimmerman did not speak to her first but greeted the two inside the room. After saying hello, she promptly closed the door.

Athena Linton thought she’d be back soon, but to her surprise, her mom closed the door and, without giving her any chance to protest, began to drag her downstairs.

"Mom! Where are you taking me?"

Athena Linton resisted and didn’t want to follow Serena Zimmerman downstairs. If Serena hadn’t been holding her so tightly, she would have broken free and gone back to find Lily Turner.

Worried that Athena Linton might slip from her grasp, Serena Zimmerman held onto her hand tightly. As she applied force, she also made an effort with her mouth, "We’re heading back tomorrow, so we’re going to buy some gifts for your grandpa and grandma, and your aunt as well."

This was originally a plan for the afternoon, but given the urgent situation, she had to move it up.

"We’re going shopping? Then let me go call Goddess sister to come along." It would be so much fun to go shopping with her. She tried to pull away to call Lily Turner.

"Your sister-in-law is a big celebrity. If we take her out and she’s recognized by the paparazzi or fans, how would you help her out? Especially since she’s pregnant with a baby." Even if she weren’t pregnant, Serena couldn’t take Lily Turner with them, as those reporters and fans were everywhere. She couldn’t protect this niece-in-law of hers.

Serena Zimmerman said so much just to make Athena Linton understand that it wouldn’t be possible to take Lily Turner with them, that the two of them would have to go alone.

Athena Linton thought about it and sighed helplessly, "Sigh! Just the two of us, then."

Even though she wanted to be with the Goddess, she couldn’t disregard her safety.

"Let’s get going."

Seeing that Athena Linton no longer insisted on going back to call Lily Turner, Serena Zimmerman let out a sigh of relief. Without any hesitation, she took her daughter downstairs.

Outside, the mother and daughter had already left, but the two people inside the room didn’t know.

"I’ll go see what Aunt needs from Athena," Easton Holmes said, not waiting for Lily Turner to respond, as he grabbed the half-eaten bun and headed for the door.
