Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 910: What the Hell
Michael Linton was correct in his judgment; coming downstairs was indeed Serena Zimmerman. She hurried down, suspecting something urgent had occurred, and immediately threw off the covers and got out of bed.
She changed clothes as quickly as possible, anxious, and hurried downstairs to see what was going on. She noticed that the lights were on in the living room and walked right in without thinking much.
Entering the living room, she saw Callix Linton was also there. Serena immediately sensed the gravity of the situation, her footsteps instinctively quickening.
"What are you coming down for?" Michael Linton casually asked upon seeing Serena approach. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Serena just glanced at her husband who was speaking to her and didn’t respond. She walked over and sat down not far from Michael.
"I’ll be leaving now."
After a long silence, Fabian Holmes suddenly spoke and sat up. He glanced at Callix Linton and Michael Linton, seeing neither of them intended to acknowledge him. He looked embarrassed and walked out of the living room.
"Take care of that son of yours."
Hearing Callix Linton’s voice, Fabian Holmes paused in his steps but did not stop. He strode out of the living room and left without looking back.
Bam!
Whether intentionally or accidentally, Fabian Holmes slammed the door as he went out, possibly venting dissatisfaction with the two inside.
"What nonsense!"
Regardless of Fabian Holmes’s intentions, Callix Linton was convinced it was deliberate. He turned his head towards the floor-to-ceiling window and angrily rebuked.
Michael Linton shared his father’s view, believing Fabian Holmes had done it on purpose. However, unlike his father, he didn’t curse but silently glanced in the direction of the door.
"Dad! You should go back to sleep."
Retracting his gaze from the door, Michael Linton reached out to Callix Linton, attempting to help his father back to his room. However, his hand was slapped away by the elder Linton.
After swatting away the extended hand, Callix Linton irritably looked at its owner. "Did you know about this during the day?"
Now, he was very suspicious—no, he was certain that such an event had already occurred during the day. His grandson had run out and not returned all day, undoubtedly dealing with this matter.
"I also found out not long ago."
Seeing his father so angry, Michael Linton felt much more concerned than before. This matter had blown up significantly, and his old man would surely argue with his sister. Given his sister’s temperament, she wouldn’t simply submit to their father’s admonishments.
Callix Linton could tell Michael wasn’t lying. He didn’t dwell on the topic further, instead looking at both Michael and Serena. "You both should go upstairs and rest. Tomorrow you have to... It’s already early morning now. You don’t have many hours to rest, so hurry up and rest."
He directly urged his son and daughter-in-law. In a few hours, his son and his family had to return to the Imperial Capital. He couldn’t let this matter affect their trip.
"We..."
"We’ll go upstairs to rest immediately."
Serena wanted to say they weren’t in the mood to rest, but before she could, Michael interrupted, giving her a look as he did so.
The couple was very much in sync; Serena understood her husband’s look instantly and got up to leave the living room with Michael.
