Re: Elf Prince—A Degenerate's Second Chance-Chapter 80. Taking Permission
80. Taking Permission
Standing over the beast girl was another beast with almost identical features only that her nose was like a huge black button and resembled that of a beast than a humans. She looked down at the beast girl and then back at the remaining four mercenaries.
"How dare you touch my sister!" She second beast girl flared up as she raised her hand and summoned a funnel of wind that lifted up two of her opponents and hurled them into the nearby raging fire. It was the beast she could do with the amount of mana she still had left from the battle. "Whether you try to leave or not, you will pay for hurting my dear sister."
The remaining two mercenaries did not show any signs of wanting to leave initially. They conjured up balls of flame in their hands and threw them at the beast sisters creating a huge funnel of flame.
The beast girl’s sister ckanbed her hand together and created a wall of wind to protect her and her sister from the funnel of fire. She soon realised how much of a mistake this was as the funnel of wind conjoined by the two mercenaries merged together and soon became a column of fire. Soon after they were joined by almost a dozen more that surrounded them and shot out more funnels of fire.
The beast girl’s sister proceeded to form a circular wall of air that kept both her and her sister safe in the middle. With her mana dwindling by the second she had no way to put up an offense and defend at the same time. She looked down at her badly hurt sister and yelled. "Hang in there Merylin!!"
A second later Merylin’s eyes widened from the almost familiar pressure she felt but it vanished just as quickly again. Was she over thinking things, there was no way he could—? Even after she left him— her line of thought was soon disrupted shortly after.
"Merylin, like the wizard or not related?" Said a strangely unfamiliar yet familiar voice.
"You!" The beast girl hissed under pain as she looked at the figure standing over her.
Her sister looked back at the figure that appeared to be a handsome white haired elf boy whose looks were a killer. "Who are you? How did you get in here?" She asked slowly as she tried to keep the concentration of her defense up. She had no idea who the strange boy was and she believed him to be a foe since he was not a beast person. How could something so pretty be made to kill? She thought. But at least she would die in the hands of a pretty boy.
The young elf boy payed no attention to her as he be t down and looked at the beast girl lying helplessly on the floor and clutching to her side where her tips were broken. For a while they just stated at each other in silence. Their eyes searching for something in the others eyes but they did not seem to find what they were looking for.
The beast girl was starting to regret not killing him but she also wondered why he was back there? Did he tail her? No he already knew the location of the village? Was he their ring leader? Had he come for revenge?
A moment later her worst fears happened as his face grew darker and more contorted, his brows corroded and his teeth started to grit each other. He kept still for a second more before saying, "Who did this to you?"
The beast girl did not say a word neither did her sister, each afraid for reasons of their own. The young elf climbed to his feet and said, "You are the first girl I’ve met in a while with great lemons. There’s no way I’ll let you suffer or die while I’m here. You spared my life so ask away?"
The beast girl’s sister screamed at the young elf. "What vulgar use of language, you pervert."
The beast girl lay on the ground with her eyes on him, she had no idea what to say but there was no way she would turn to a filthy scum for help. The cries of her people called to her again and she said nothing.
Then her sister started to scream at the elf boy. "If you want to help then do it, why waste out time and have fun?"
The elf boy hesitated and then said. "She doesn’t want outsiders trespassing on your land and I already broke that and she spared me. I have no reason to help here but if she gives me permission to, I’ll bloody do it." His voice sounded determined as his eyes forced the answer out of the beast girl that Kay on the floor.
Tears well in her eyes as she betrayed her own promise and said. "Please save my people."
The wall of wind had been giving way little while they had been conversing and the firepower on it becoming stronger by each passing second.
"See, now was that hard?" Eryndor said with a smile as he started walk towards the wall of wind colliding with the roars of flame.
The beast girl’s sister screamed. "What are you insane, those flame are hot. They’ll burn you."
Eryndor smiled and said. "Too bad I’m way hotter." With that he was waking into the world of fire outside the circle of wind. No one had any idea what had happened, the mercenaries were oblivious to his presence till they watched one of their members fall to the ground with his arms shattered.
Standing before him was Eryndor who had a pissed look on his face. With flame body tempering art he could withstand the flame for a few seconds. He looked at them and started to approach them.
They would throw flame attacks to him in their defence and he would quench them all one at a time with an ease that frightened them. Some even thought if he was the devil but he was nothing like that.
Eryndor ignited a ball of flame in his hand and it looked strange and more condensed. "Now why don’t I lecture you on why we don’t let let children play with fire."
