Reawakening: Primordial Dragon with Limitless Mana-Chapter 29: Leader(1)
Chapter 29: Leader(1)
Nothing fueled growth like real combat.
Hades knew that well—and today, he stood on the battlefield, ready to hunt land-crawling dragons.
His goal was simple: wipe out the beasts and earn a hefty reward from the Academy. Normally, lone fighters weren’t allowed to take on dragons, but Hades had found a way around the rules. And now, here he was—facing off against the creatures he took a strange joy in hunting.
...
"Even for Hades... isn’t this a bit much?" Carl muttered, standing behind Rinne and the others as they watched the crimson-haired warrior march toward the dragons.
Every drake on the field had already sensed the threat. All eyes were locked on Hades. They knew exactly who the real danger was—and they weren’t wrong.
Taylor let out a low chuckle. "You clearly haven’t seen him hunt before."
Carl and a few others gave him puzzled looks. They’d only seen Hades in controlled matches, never like this.
Taylor added, "He holds back with people... but against dragons? He doesn’t show mercy—"
BOOOOOM
Right on cue, the first blow landed.
A massive drake was launched into the air—not pushed, not knocked back, but flung like a ragdoll—by a single punch. From a human.
The ground trembled. Sand and blood were scattered.
Hades’s figure blurred—he was practically untraceable to the eyes of someone like Carl and Jasmine.
The next moment, he was in the air—his body twisting, heel raised high.
Then—
CRACK
DHAK
His boot came crashing down on a drake’s skull, driving it into the dirt like a hammer to glass.
Jasmine flinched at the brutal sound of bones breaking. The creature dropped without a roar, twitching once before going still.
Drakes weren’t the strongest monsters around—not quite on par with Solitary-rank threats—but they were fast. Uncomfortably fast.
And that speed showed now.
The remaining six scattered in a blur, claws tearing through sand as they dashed around him. Within seconds, they had surrounded Hades—cutting off every escape, their low growls echoing across the battlefield.
Hades tilted his head slightly, crimson eyes scanning the field to keep every drake within sight. His long hair danced in the wind, untamed and wild like the power building around him.
’Are they really this weak... or have I just gotten stronger?’
[Such arrogance.]
He ignored the voice in his head.
Just then, a massive jaw came crashing toward him from behind—sharp enough to tear through stone.
Hades jumped.
His body twisted mid-air into a clean backflip, and he landed squarely on the drake’s back.
His fingers locked together, forming a hammer as thick layers of mana wrapped around him like a cloak.
But before he could strike—
CRASH!
Another drake barreled into the one he stood on, slamming its body with brutal force. frёeωebɳovel.com
"Tch—" Hades clicked his tongue and leapt again, flipping off the wreckage.
He landed right in front of another beast—its maw wide open, fangs glinting.
It lunged.
Hades didn’t flinch. He raised both arms, spreading them wide as the jaws came down—
and caught them.
The drake’s fangs clamped around his forearms, but they didn’t pierce.
"Now he is seriously fucked up! He can’t resist the strength of those jaws!" Luke panicked.
"The others are about to attack him too." Jasmine looked pale with concern.
However, Taylor just smirked, "Yes, he seems cornered... but can you see that grin on that bastard’s face?"
The others were dumbfounded—but for the three members of the Alpha Team, this wasn’t anything to worry about.
And Hades proved their faith right.
His arms swelled, mana surging through his veins as he planted his feet firmly on the ground—and with sheer strength, he spun the drake.
The massive creature slammed into the earth with a heavy crunch.
In the same motion, Hades twisted his body and caught the incoming tail of another drake with both arms.
Hades jumped before anchoring himself and throwing the drake toward the other with the same momentum.
His laughter sounded sinister to the ears of friends and foes alike.
He was like a madman craving blood and chaos.
He didn’t give time to the others. Jumping toward the nearest drake, he didn’t give it time to recoil back before he surrounded its thick neck with both his arms.
The drake tried to swat him away, but like a death grip, he continued to suffocate a whole dragon with his arms.
"....i-is he insane?" Asked Luke in a shaky voice.
The others had the same reaction.
Hades wasn’t hunting the monsters, he was playing with his prey. Making them realise how pathetically weak they were before him.
Taylor sighed, "No...he just hates dragons too much."
"*Aghuuuh!*" The dragon kept thrashing to get rid of the shackles around its neck but to no avail.
Hades was hell bent on suffocating the monster.
*Crunch* *Crunch*
From behind, another dragon launched toward him.
Hades snarled before throwing his head back, his pupils turning thin as needless and for a moment, the drake saw it.
The ferocious beast hiding within the human flesh.
It stopped, staggered, and backed away.
The fear was instilled.
The other dragons realised what they were fighting wasn’t humane.
*Crack*
Hades finally succeeded in breaking the neck of the beast, feeling proud at the achievement.
He turned around and froze.
The other drakes had dispersed.
What stood before him was their leader.
An Alpha.
Hades’s lips curved.
Finally, a worthy opponent.

A/N:- Thanks for reading. He is the strongest Dragon hunter of the academy, remember. He isn’t the strongest human yet but he would progress quite fast.
