"I don’t think it is the right time for us to have a baby," Zhang Luiying replied, causing Xin Yi to look at her with an astonished look.

"Why do you say so?" He did not lash out at her, instead, he wanted to know why she felt that way.

"We have issues to settle, I feel that the addition of a child could be dangerous, what if the enemies figure out I am pregnant? They could do anything to the child," Zhang Luiying was paranoid.

But it was not her fault, the current situation was enough for her to be worried.

They arrived at the hospital in thirty minutes, and they were quickly directed to the doctor of yesterday as soon as Xin Yi introduced themselves.

"Mr and Mrs. Xin, you have arrived, you are quite early," the doctor commented with a smile.

"We are eager to know the truth," Xin Yi replied, matching the doctor’s energy.

"That is very nice," the doctor smiled before turning to look at Zhang Luiying, who had a small smile on her face. Zhang Luiying was introverted, and she was unable to relate with strangers properly.

"Mrs Xin, are you ready for the test?" The doctor asked carefully. She could see that Zhang Luiying was not one to relate with people, and she could only tread carefully with her.

"Sure," Zhang Luiying replied.

"Let’s go, shall we?" The doctor stood up from her seat as she gestured for Zhang Luiying to follow her.

"Good luck," Xin Yi wished her luck as the two ladies walked into a room which was inside the doctor’s office.

A series of tests were run on Zhang Luiying, and twenty minutes later, she was out of the room.

Xin Yi immediately rushed to her, seeing that she looked weak.

"Are you fine?" He asked her as he held her while they walked to the seat.

"Yes I am, just a little bit dizzy," she replied with a low voice.

"You will be fine," he replied to her, and she nodded, resting her head on his shoulders.

"Mr and Mrs. Xin, the test results will be coming out soon, would you like to wait? Or would you like for it to be delivered to your home?" The doctor asked.

"We would wait," Xin Yi replied. It was best for them to wait for it.

A few minutes later, the results were out. The doctor had a bright smile on her face as she approached the couple.

"Me and Mrs. Xin, the results are out," she announced with a smile.

Zhang Luiying sat upright immediately she heard the announcement. Her heart literally skipped a few beats, as it pounded against her rib cage.

She suddenly had mixed feelings. She could see the happy smile on the doctor’s face, surely, it must be good news in the envelope.

But she did not know if she were to count it as good news.

Meanwhile, Xin Yi did not allow his expression to betray his inner thoughts. He kept his face blank as he waited for the doctor to continue.

"Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Xin, she is four weeks gone," the doctor announced with a smile, but the reaction she was expecting wasn’t what she got.

The couple had a sullen look on, and this caused the doctor to frown. She thought it was a thing of joy, and they would be happy to have this baby, but what she thought was different from reality.

"Aren’t you both happy?" The doctor could not hold back as she questioned them.

"It is not that, Doctor, you will not be able to understand, but I assure you, we are happy with this news," Xin Yi answered. He did not want the doctor to have crazy thoughts.

"Then why don’t you have the happy look of a couple who just discovered they are expecting a baby?" The doctor was nosy, and her constant questioning was beginning to annoy Zhang Luiying.

Zhang Luiying tugged at her Xin Yi, and he could sense that she was becoming offended by the doctor’s words.

"Like I said earlier, we are happy with the news, but I believe our lack of reaction is not something your hospital is meant to be curious about," Xin Yi cocked his head, staring at the doctor with a concealed threatening look.

"I am sorry for trying to interfere in your lives, please pardon me," the doctor immediately apologized, she could see the look in Xin Yi’s eyes, and she was not willing to annoy him.

"The report," Xin Yi stretched out his hands, and she hastily handed it to him.

"Thank you Doctor," he smiled at her, wholly different from the man who had unleashed his fearsome aura earlier on.

"Let’s leave, Luiying," Xin Yi helped her up as he supported her while they walked out.

"So scary," the doctor mumbled under her breath as she watched them leave her office.
