Chapter 197: Chapter 197: My Son

Song Recommendation: Fast Forward By Jeon Somi

"Yi,"

"We will talk about it when we get home," Xin Yi cut her off with a grave expression on his face.

Zhang Luiying looked at him, and she exhaled. This was what she was avoiding, but it seemed it could not be avoided anymore.

Once they arrived home, Zhang Luiying could not say anything. She only watched him pace around the sitting room with a terrible expression on her face, and she did not know how she was to react to his actions as it scared her greatly.

"Xin Yi, what are we going to do? It is only a matter of time before they find out I am pregnant, I am afraid they might take action now, I am not worried about myself, but for the baby in my stomach," Zhang Luiying finally aired her frustrations as she held her stomach protectively.

Xin Yi stopped in his pacing as he walked to her. He made her sit as he squatted beside her. He looked up to her, and his eyes could not hide the determination in it.

"I assure you that no one will hurt you, nor our unborn baby, I will do everything in my power to hunt them down, and bring them to book," Xin Yi assured her, his determination overflowing.

Zhang Luiying smiled as she held his hands, "I know you will do just that, but I actually feel bad, I feel like a liability, I need you to help me with the little things, and it irritates me knowing that I am weak," she was annoyed by this fact.

Xin Yi chuckled. He knew that the feeling of insecurity was already seeping into her, but he was not going to allow it to take effect.

"Listen to me Luiying, you are one of the strongest women I know, you are not afraid to take a stand, you were the one who started your crafts shop against your adoptive mother’s will, that alone shows how much strength you have in you," Xin Yi explained to her.

He was not lying with his words. He truly admired her strength. Only a few people would do what she did, she was the definition of strength.

His words brought tears to Zhang Luiying’s eyes and no matter how much she tried to force it back, they still fell.

"See you made me cry," she chuckled amidst tears.

"I know it is tears of joy, not sorrows, but you do not need to cry, wipe your tears, I don’t like seeing you cry," Xin Yi frowned seeing her tears, and though he asked her to wipe it off herself, he still helped her wipe her tears.

"Yi, our baby would be safe, right?" Zhang Luiying asked with an anxious look in her eyes.

Xin Yi nodded, "I, Xin Yi is making a promise to you now, our baby would come out to this world safely, and I will help you get rid of all the enemies, this is my promise to you," he pledged to her.

*Wu Tang’s Corporation*

Wu Tang was in his office. He had a restless look on his face, and it was obvious with the way he was seated.

He was triggered by what had happened the previous day, and until now, he still felt immense anger. His employees have been the one bearing the brunt of his anger.

Knock!

There was a knock on the door, and his face scrunched up in irritation. He wanted to scream at the person at the door, but he decided against it, thus, telling the person to come in.

"Boss, good day," it was his subordinate, the one he had sent on an important task.

His face eased up a bit because he figured out that there was already news.

"Where is the result?" Wu Tang asked impatiently.

"Boss, I think it is best you check it out yourself," the subordinate was shrouded in mystery as he handed the papers to Wu Tang who was annoyed by his act of mystery.

Nevertheless, Wu Tang still checked it. He did not understand the medical terms, his eyes were fixated on the words, ’99.9999% compatibility.’

"What does this mean?" Wu Tang’s hands were trembling as he read it again. Actually, he knew what it was, he only needed that confirmation.

"This means that Tang Ni is your son, Tang Mei was the lady from that year," the subordinate explained to him happily.

"Yes!" Wu Tang screamed, jumping from his seat, his actions surprising his subordinate as he was not expecting Wu Tang to have such a reaction.

"Now I know why I felt such a strong connection with him the first time I met him, he is also the reason I decided to team up with Tang Mei, it turns out he is my son," surprisingly, tears fell from Wu Tang’s eyes, shocking the subordinate for the umpteenth time.

He had thought he had seen enough, but Wu Tang kept surprising him.

"I want to see my son," he said breathlessly.

"Boss?" The subordinate asked, not getting what he said earlier.

"I said I intend to see my son, take me to Tang Ni," he thundered, his voice causing the subordinate to shudder.

"Sure thing Boss, we leave now, is that fine with you?" The subordinate asked as he hastily picked up the car keys from the table.

"Shall we?" The subordinate asked, opening the door for Wu Tang who walked out with large strides.

The subordinate discreetly wiped his sweat from his forehead as he walked after Wu Tang, feeling that he just escaped death.

An hour later, the car arrived at the hideout. Wu Tang did not wait for the subordinate to park properly as he exited the car immediately.

Thankfully, the car had been stopped, or else, something could have happened.

The subordinate could only shake his head seeing how Wu Tang walked as though he was being chased.

’I almost died,’ he held his chest while breathing in relief.

"Where is Tang Ni?" This was the question Wu Tang asked immediately he walked into the living room.

"Uncle Wu, I am here, did you come to bring me home?" Tang Ni walked out from the kitchen with flour all over his face as he asked innocently.
