Chapter 200: Chapter 200: Wedding II

Song Recommendation: Fake Love By BTS

"Why do you think he is a nice guy? And what makes you think I would have a nice time with him when I finally get married to him?" Tang Mei folded her arms as she questioned Shi Liran who did not pause in what she was doing.

"I have spoken with Wu Tang, and he is polite in his words and ways, I assure you he is a charming guy, you do not need to be worried about how you would live with him, and who knows, he might help you forget about Li Qiang," Shi Liran stated, patiently waiting for that day to come.

Tang Mei heaved heavily. Her stepmother had just been deceived by Wu Tang, and she was unable to notice that she had been deceived.

"Mom, even if I get married to Wu Tang, you all need to know that I would only love one person, and that is Li Qiang," Tang Mei confessed, her eyes could not hide the obsession she felt for Li Qiang. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

Shi Liran paused for a moment, before coming to stand in front of Tang Mei who looked at her warily. She was cautious of the words which Shi Liran was going to utter. It was a well-known fact that Shi Liran could be quite blunt in her words.

"I am happy you can accept reality," Shi Liran said, causing Tang Mei to stare at her with confusion.

"And what might you mean by that?" Tang Mei asked. She had that feeling that she might not like her next words, and truly, she did not like what Shi Liran uttered next.

"At the end of the day, you are still getting married to Li Qiang, you will be a married woman, it is better for you to keep your eyes off a married man,

Here, all done, you like a bride now," Shi Liran smiled at her handwork.

Tang Mei’s face which was hidden with the help of the veil was increasingly dark, and she wished she could strange Shi Liran, but she decided against it. No matter what, she still had a soft spot for Shi Liran.

Shi Liran had taken care of her without complaints even when she was aware that the former was a product of betrayal.

But that did not mean that she was not offended by her words, she only knew how to control it because it was Shi Liran.

Had it been any other person, her anger could have resulted in her giving the erring person a slap.

"You are looking beautiful, I believe your mom will be happy knowing that her daughter is getting married," Shi Liran was moved to tears.

Despite everything which had happened, it was a fact that she had taken care of Tang Mei, and she was attached to her, so it was not surprising that she had tears in her eyes.

"Are you crying?" Tang Mei asked in surprise.

"Of course, even though you are partially bad, it doesn’t change the fact that you are still my daughter, and I took care of you, so of course, I will be emotional," Shi Liran dabbed her eyes clean.

Tang Mei rolled her eyes slightly. She did not understand the concept of mothers crying when their daughters wanted to get married, and it was not like Shi Liran was her real mother.

"Who is going to walk me down the aisle? Both father and brother are in jail," Tang Mei asked with a bitter demeanor.

Although, she did consider this to be a real marriage, it did not change the fact that she wanted someone to walk her down the aisle. It will make her feel like she was loved.

"But you still have your other brother by your side," the two ladies suddenly heard a familiar voice, and they turned to look at the source of the sound.

Lo and behold, it was Tang Mo.

"Brother," she called in a nasal tone. She was in a bad mood. She was not expecting that Tang Mo would be willing to walk her down the aisle, despite everything she had done.

"Don’t feel touched, I am only doing this because of our mother," he flicked her forehead, though it did not do much damage as she had her veil on.

"Thank you," Tang Mei thanked him. Even if he was not doing it from his heart, as long as he was helping her, it was more than enough for her.

"Shall we go? Wu Tang is about to destroy my phone with phone calls," Tang Mo stretched his hand for her to take, which she gladly took.

It took about twenty minutes for them to get to the designated church.

Once they arrived, Tang Mei heaved a sigh, before she walked into the church with the help of Tang Mo, who had his face blank without showing any of his feelings.

From the corner of her eyes, Tang Mei could see Li Qiang. She clenched her fists tightly, feeling jealous that Xin Yan was the one standing beside him.

’It should be me,’ she thought to herself with a malevolent look, fortunately, her veil helped cover up her expression.

"I suggest you take your eyes off Li Qiang, and focus on your soon-to-be husband," Tang Mo whispered to her, and she swallowed immediately. It seems Tang Mo caught her peeking at Li Qiang.

"My sister, protect her, I know that you both are not willing to get married because you have different people you like, but I want you to know that they are married, and so would you both, I advise you stop every trick," Tang Mo advised, before leaving Tang Mei in Wu Tang’s hands as they faced the priest.

"Your brother has a problem with me," Wu Tang remarked in a low voice.

"It is expected, he considers Li Qiang to be his brother, and it is clear that we are against their relationship, it is only right he gave us a warning, that’s what he feels though," Tang Mei rolled her eyes, the earlier happiness she felt from him walking her down the aisle vanishing immediately.
