Rebirth: The Heiress Plans Her Revenge-Chapter 210: Crazy Contract II
Chapter 210: Chapter 210: Crazy Contract II
Song Recommendation: Bad News By Kiss Of Life
"Well, it seems you did not go through the contract, before blindly signing it," Wu Tang shook his head in sheer disappointment.
"What does the contract say?" The man asked while staring at Wu Tang cautiously. For some reason, he felt a sense of foreboding, something was about to go wrong for him.
"I don’t know, maybe a certain clause which says you cannot resign, and if you do wish to resign, then you are ready to pay back all that you have earned from the company, I think that should be it," Wu Tang muttered nonchalantly.
The man who was eager to resign took a step back in fear. Others who had plans of resigning kept quiet immediately, not daring to talk about resigning.
"That...is...not...possible," the man stuttered, breathlessly.
"But it is the truth, why don’t you check the contract you signed when you were about to join our company?" Wu Tang suggested.
Everybody held their breaths as the man fumbled through his locker for the document. He had kept it in his locker for future purposes, he would never have realized he would be needing it again.
Wu Tang yawned, feeling extremely bored. His attention then turned back to the internet, which was strangely quiet. He placed his fingers on his chin as he monitored the entire comment section.
"This is not true," Wu Tang’s attention was diverted by the man’s voice, which sounded unbelievable.
He turned to look at the man, a smile dancing on his lips.
"What does it say?" One of the man’s colleagues asked, his heart in his throat. He was anxious, what if it was the truth? Would they have to spend their entire lives working for Wu Tang until they finally lost their value, and were discarded?
"President Wu was telling the truth, we cannot resign, how did we not see this clause?" The man asked, his hands on his forehead, feeling troubled.
"Perhaps, because you were too greedy, and you directly skipped the clause, this is the result of greediness," Wu Tang replied with a chuckle, but that chuckle caused a chill down the spine of the entire men present in the room.
"Why did you decide to treat us this way? We have worked for you, dedicated our entire lives to your company and you, but you decide to pay us back with shady contracts, is that how it is done?" The man could not hold back his anger as he questioned Wu Tang, who frowned at the man’s audacity.
"Repeat what you just said," Wu Tang commanded with a loud voice, he was already mad, very mad.
"I mean to say." the man was unable to complete his statement. Wu Tang’s aura was something he could not handle.
"I thought as much, get back to work everybody, and I would rather not see anyone complaining, if you do, there is no telling how you will be handled," he gave a low-key threat, before leaving the office.
Once Wu Tang left, the man could finally breathe as he collapsed to his seat.
"I would never have expected Wu Tang to go as far as this, this is just enslaving our rights," one complained.
"But what can we do? Did you not hear what he said? Mr. Sun also confirmed it with the contract, we are as good as slaves in this company," another replied with a bitter smile.
"Let’s get back to work, President Wu has committed such a blunder, and now it is left for us to clean up his mess," the one who was referred to Mr. Sun spoke up.
Although, the entire team felt awful, they had no other choice than to complete the work. They were left with no other choice, Wu Tang made sure there was no other way for them to run to.
*Yan’s Corporation*
Xin Yan was also following the matter between Li Qiang and Wu Tang.
"This Wu Tang has definitely bitten more than he could chew," Chen Wenling commented with an annoyed sigh.
"Indeed, you are right," Xin Yan agreed with her.
"But President Li is silent, this is unlike him," Chen Wenling continued with a frown on her face as they watched the battle between the netizens and Wu Tang’s company.
"He does not need to do anything, the netizens will help with that, that is the power of a solid company," Xin Yan replied with a proud voice. She was proud of her husband.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, causing Chen Wenling to roll her eyes.
"I will get it," she volunteered, and walked to the door, mumbling under her breath.
"Who could that... Ohhh, Miss. Zhou!" She exclaimed, further widening the door for Zhou Mian to come in.
"I had no idea you were the one at the door," Chen Wenling stated with a guilty smile.
"Were you badmouthing me?" Zhou Mian joked, but she had no other idea, she had hit the nail on the head.
Chen Wenling remained quiet, while Xin Yan observed both of them. She wanted to see how this would end.
"Heh? Were you really badmouthing me?" Zhou Mian reiterated the question once again.
"In my defense, I was only commenting about the person at the door, which turns out to be you," Chen Wenling replied.
"Is that so?" Zhou Mian squinted at her, and surprisingly, Chen Wenling was able to meet her gaze.
"Okay, that is enough, I would rather not see both of you tear each other in my office, Mian, you can have a seat, what brings you here?" Xin Yan finally stepped in, temporarily stopping the bloodshed which was about to happen. freeweɓnovel-cøm
"I was bored, so I decided to visit you, only for me to find out what is happening on the internet, tell me, has Wu Tang lost his mind?" Zhou Mian graciously took a seat, throwing the question to Xin Yan.
"I really have no idea, but it was expected, Li Qiang had already planned for this," Xin Yan replied, gesturing for Chen Wenling to pour coffee.
"You do not need to think too much into it, he has truly lost his mind," Zhou Mian’s brows furrowed as she tapped her fingers on the table with a thoughtful look in her eyes.
