Xin Yan had a teasing look on her face as she watched Zhou Mian who could not stop blushing.

"Oh my dear Mian, I talk to you daily, I am thrilled to see you, but I am more excited to see your boyfriend," Zhou Ran blurted out, her words shocking Tang Mo and Zhou Mian to the core.

"You know about it? I do not recall telling you about it," Zhou Mian was flustered. She did not know how her mother was going to react to it.

"Yes, you did not tell me about it, but I found out," Zhou Ran had a smug and victorious smile on her facing as she watched her daughter panic.

"Forget about it, son, what would you have to like?" Zhou Ran did not bother to pay attention to her daughter anymore, as she focused on Tang Mo, who did not feel awkward at all, but was able to warm up to her.

Zhou Mian had wanted to introduce Tang Mo to her parents, it turns out they already knew about it. Now, she felt like a complete fool.

"Don’t tell me aunt really did that," Xin Yan was shocked as she asked, her eyes could not hide the amazement she felt.

"Aunt has always been dramatic, what about uncle? Did he approve of your relationship? We all know uncle hates to be associated with scandals, but sadly, Tang Mo is." Xin Yan did not complete her words, but Zhou Mian was well aware of what she meant.

"Hm, dad was resistant at first, but there are nothing a few drops of tears could not fix," Zhou Mian had a proud look on her face, showing that the issue had been sorted out.

Suddenly, Xin Yan felt her eyes water, and Zhou Mian noticed the slight change in her mood immediately.

"What’s wrong?" Zhou Mian asked immediately.

"Nothing, I just got reminded of my dad while you discussed uncle, I do not know how he would have reacted to me dating Yuan Renshu then, would he have supported me just like he always did? Or would he have been firm, and made me see reasons?" Xin Yan questioned herself, whilst chuckling, however, mockingly.

"I believe uncle would have supported you unconditionally, while hoping you actually find out the real character of the scumbag," Zhou Mian replied sadly, affected by Xin Yan’s mood.

"I miss my dad, I miss my mom, I miss the support they always gave me and my brother," this time around, the tears fell from Xin Yan’s eyes.

Zhou Mian sighed, her heart hurt on behalf of Xin Yan. She stood up from her seat, walking to Xin Yan, and wrapping her hands around her.

"Yan, you are stronger than this, you do not need to cry, I believe uncle and aunt are looking down from heaven, and are proud of the woman you have become," Zhou Mian consoled her.

"I know, thank you, Mian, you have been a good friend of mine," after Xin Yan was done with crying, she thanked Zhou Mian genuinely.

"Hey, you do not need to thank me, you would do the same for me, if you thank me, then I will think that you do not consider me to be a friend," Zhou Mian frowned, pointing at Xin Yan with a terrible expression.

"Fine, I apologize for thanking you, but I believe it is courtesy to thank someone after they have done something good for us," Xin Yan refuted with a smile.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, you are always right," Zhou Mian flailed her hands, giving up immediately. She could not win in an argument against Xin Yan as she would always bring up meaningful facts.

"I know Xixi, I only hope the bad guys are caught, I love great grandma and great grandpa, but I still want to spend time with mom and dad," Li Meimei replied with a tired sigh.

As they were conversing, they were suddenly approached by two heavily built men, their heights towering over them.

The twins frowned seeing the men who had decided to block their view.
