"Who are you?" Li Chuxi asked with a frown, as she stood up from the bench, glaring straight at the men.

The two men exchanged glances, and they could see the same look in their eyes, one of mocking.

They were mocking Li Chuxi’s bravery. Li Meimei swallowed on seeing the gigantic men, and she felt a sense of foreboding.

"Xixi, these people look scary, let’s escape, I get bad vibes from them," Li Meimei whispered to Li Chuxi who was still glaring at the men who refused to take action.

Li Chuxi nodded, entirely agreeing to her sister’s conclusion.

"Hey! What are both of you talking about? Care to tell us?" One of the men yelled out loud, startling the two girls.

Li Chuxi looked around as she wondered why nobody approached them, seeing the weird situation, but luck was not on the twins’ side as the entire surrounding was free from people.

"Who sent you?" Li Chuxi directly questioned. Of course, she was aware that her parents had too many enemies, and those enemies were aware that they were the kids, they could actually use them to act against their parents.

Having come to this conclusion, Li Chuxi’s frown deepened. Li Meimei could only watch on as she watched her sister play the heroine.

"This little one is smart, it is unclear to me why we are still here listening to her rubbish," one of the men said to the other, entirely ignoring Li Chuxi.

Li Chuxi observed the men’s expression, they looked vicious, and it could be denoted from their countenances that they always completed their jobs.

"Meimei, we have to escape at all costs, these people have been sent to kidnap us, and from what I see, they are eager to complete their tasks," Li Chuxi whispered to her sister while the two men were conversing.

Li Chuxi and Li Meimei carefully and quietly left the bench, but their luck ran out almost immediately, as Li Meimei’s foot made contact with a twig, causing the attention of the two men to return to the twins.

"Meimei, run!" Li Chuxi yelled as both of them broke into a race.

"Darn it! The boss would kill us if we did not bring them back to the base, catch them!" The smaller man exclaimed as they ran after the kids.

Li Chuxi and Li Meimei hid behind a shrub, holding their breaths as they watched the men run past them.

"Xixi, I am scared, I want mom and dad," Li Meimei has always been the scared one, and this time, she was at the verge of crying.

"Don’t cry, Meimei, I believe we would be safe," Li Chuxi assured her sister, rubbing her shoulders while looking around to make sure the surroundings were safe.

"Do you think you can run from us?" All of a sudden, they heard a voice above their heads, and before they could scream, they were picked up by the men.

"Our boss would be so happy to see both of you," the smaller man had a grin on his face, his yellow teeth terrifying the twins.

Tears escaped from Li Meimei’s eyes as she pleaded, "please, let us go, please, we are just kids."

The men did not heed to her pleas, instead, they laughed at them.

Li Chuxi gritted her teeth, as she glared at them. She was exactly like Li Qiang, defiant, and she was not willing to beg them.

As they walked to the car, Li Chuxi spoke up, "do you think my mom and dad won’t discover their children’s disappearance? Do you think they will not look for us? You are both mistaken."

"Little girl, I would advise you to be quiet, your words could get you into severe problems," the older man warned as they both threw the girls into the back of the car, before entering the car, and driving off.

"Sister, I am scared," Li Meimei scooted over to Li Chuxi who had a calculating look in her eyes, which was rare for a five-year-old.

"Do not worry, Meimei, mom and dad will discover our disappearance, and they will look for us, I promise you, and these men will face their retribution," Li Chuxi vowed, assuring Li Meimei at the same time.

"For now, let’s sleep," Li Chuxi finished.

Li Meimei looked at her elder sister, completely speechless. She was asking both of them to sleep when they had just been kidnapped, but she did not say anything as she yawned. Truly, she felt sleepy.

After what seemed to take forever, the twins were finally brought into a house, they were forced into the building.

"If you do not work, I will break both of your legs, ab that will teach you how to be obedient," the heavier man threatened as they continued to walk inside.

"And if you try to break our legs, not only will our parents kill you, but you might not even live to meet our parents as your boss would not spare you," Li Chuxi replied, she was sharp-tongued.

The heavier man attempted to hit her, irate by her stubbornness, but he was stopped by his colleague.

"She is trying to provoke you, and it is working, and come to think of it, she is right, the boss would not spare us if anything happens to his trump card," the smaller man replied, his voice betraying the dread he felt for this boss.

"Enter," soon, they arrived at a room, and they were forced into the room.

Li Chuxi turned to look at them, confused at the fact that they were brought to a room, which looked expensive.

She had thought that they would be taken to a dark room to be tortured, but this did not seem like a dark room.

"What are you guys planning? What is your boss planning?" She asked immediately, and her voice could not hide the suspicions she felt.

The men cursed under their breaths, annoyed by the sharp observation possessed by Li Chuxi.

"Do not ask questions, just go in, our boss will visit you soon," the heavier man practically pushed them in, and locked the door from outside.

"Hey! Let us out! I want to meet my mom, my dad will not spare you!" Li Chuxi banged the door, hoping they would let her and sister out.
