Cheng Luiying walked to the garden. She had seen Xin Yi walk in direction. Regardless of being treated I’ll by him, she still wanted to get close to him as she cared about him.

She noticed he was smoking and he was doing so much. She couldn’t help but sigh as she rested on the wall while she watched him.

"Miss Cheng, it’s best you come out, your fake concern doesn’t bother me," Xin Yi’s voice rung out.

Cheng Luiying was taken aback. She didn’t expect that despite being secretive, he had noticed her.

To avoid his anger, she stepped out from her hiding spot.

When they were together, Cheng Luiying hated the smell of smoke but Xin Yi was an addict. Hence, he didn’t smoke where she was.

"Xin Yi, we have to talk," she took deep breaths in order to control her emotions. She looked at him with misty eyes as she hoped he considered her request.

"What’s there to talk about? I don’t think we have anything to talk about, I also don’t want Miss Cheng’s fiancé to misunderstand us if ever he finds us together," Xin Yi’s words had a mocking and sour tone to it.

Cheng Luiying raised her head as she stared at him in disbelief. Her eyes were widened as she looked at him, her lips parting and closing in surprise.

"Miss Cheng looks surprised, you didn’t think I would be aware of your engagement, you got engaged five years ago but you still haven’t gotten married, it seems your groom isn’t serious about you," Xin Yi mocked.

Cheng Luiying took a step back as she stared at him with heartache. She really couldn’t bear the fact that he was the one saying all these heartless words to her.

She didn’t understand that the misunderstanding had gotten this big. She could only clarify even if it was at the expense of her position in her family.

"I never got engaged, I only spread the news in order to solidify my position in the family, you of all people should know what my position is like in the family," Cheng Luiying closed her eyes and before Xin Yi could comprehend what meant, she fell to the floor, losing her consciousness.
