Zhang Jun, on hearing the silence on the other end, pieced two and two together.

"She is missing, isn’t she? Those people have decided to strike, isn’t that so?" Zhang Jun asked, and one could hear the frailty and desperation in her voice.

Zhang Linlin could not respond, and she was confused. She was not about to raise her mom’s blood pressure.

Anything she said or did was equivalent to causing her mom to be worried, so she did what she thought was best, and that was to say silent.

Xin Yi senses that she was not willing, or rather, she was scared to speak, so he pulled the phone away from her hand.

"Aunt, you need not worry, I will find Luiying, and I will bring her back to you safely," Xin Yi assured her.

Zhang Jun heaved a sigh of relief on hearing Xin Yi’s voice. She felt more relieved knowing that he was handling the matter.

"I trust you will handle the matter properly, I just want my daughter to return to me," Zhang Jun replied while she sniffed.

"I will do so," he vowed, and only disconnected the call after he heard the hum of approval from her.

"What do we do now?" Zhang Linlin questioned, totally relying on Xin Yi.

Xin Yi remained quiet for a while, before turning to look at her. He handed her phone as he said, "you will have to return home, I know you want to help, but you have to understand that it is dangerous, and I know you would not want your parents to be worried about you."

Zhang Linlin had a look of disappointment, but she understood that she could not be a burden. She could not do anything if she got there, it was best for her to return home, and pray that her sister comes back home.

"Okay, brother-in-law, I will listen to you," Linlin gave in, and Xin Yi smiled.

"I will drop you off," he said, and they both walked to his car.

"Have you tracked it?" Xin Yi asked as he watched the male’s finger fly rapidly on the keyboard.

This was Xin Yi’s base. A big family like theirs could not have all their wealth legally. But the Xins were only concerned with surveillance, hence, the reason Xin Yi could create a microchip and fix it into Zhang Luiying’s necklace.

Currently, they were working on finding Zhang Luiying using the chip.

"Found it!" The person yelled in victory, and Xin Yi breathed out. He was already beginning to get impatient, it was good that they found her.

"Where is she?" Xin Yi asked, as he prepared his gun. He was not going alone, he could have informed the police, but the police were not reliable.

"She is at the outskirts of the Chang ping District," the male replied with a frown on his face.

He wondered why his boss’s wife was taken to such a faraway place.

Xin Yi stopped momentarily. He was not going to allow the distance to deter him.

"You, you, you, and you will accompany, and please do not get shot," Xin Yi pointed at four men who were already dressed, prepared for the mission.

"Fengqian, I would need you to be our eyes and ears, can you tap into the chip, and listen to the conversation?" Xin Yi requested as he put on his bulletproof vest.

"Sure thing, that is not a difficult task for my boss," the person called Fengqian said as his hands tapped away on the keyboard. ƒгeewebnovёl_com

"Done!" He commented, causing Xin Yi to be impressed again.

"Can you connect it to my earpiece?" Xin Yi requested once again, and he nodded. A few moments later, Fengqian commented that he had done so.

Xin Yi was tempted to ruffle his hair, but he decided against it.

"We will be leaving now," Xin Yi announced as he and the men walked out.

"Good luck boss, I pray you can rescue madam, so she can reunite with you," Fengqian smiled, and Xin Yi chuckled at the boy’s cheerful attitude.

As Xin Yi stepped out of the base, he was stopped by Zhang Lei and Zhang Caixuan who were surprised to see him dressed that way.

"Uncle!" Xin Yi called out loud, surprised that Zhang Lei was able to find this place.

"Are you going to save my daughter?" Zhang Lei did not respond to the greetings, but he asked about his daughter immediately. Behind his glasses were eyes filled with tears which he was trying to hold back.

"Yes, she is at Chang ping District, and I am going to bring her back, rest assured uncle, she is my wife, and I would not want her to spend any minute with them," Xin Yi was firm in his words.

"Zhang Luiying is really lucky to have such a good husband such as you," Zhang Lei smiled, completely satisfied with Xin Yi.

"I want to go along with you," Zhang Caixuan spoke up, and a frown instantly appeared on Xin Yi’s face.

"I know what might be on your mind, but she is my sister, and I feel this is the only way I can help her, I have not been with her throughout her childhood, this is the only way to show that I really love her," Zhang Caixuan spoke up, emotions all over his face.

"Fine!" Xin Yi gave in, not because he was touched by his story, but because time was not on their side anymore.

He could listen to the discussion of the men, and they had plans to move Zhang Luiying to another city.

If they succeed, then it will be difficult to save Zhang Luiying.

Zhang Caixuan smiled gratefully at Xin Yi, and he was handed a bulletproof vest, and a gun by one of Xin Yi’s men who just happened to have gone inside to get it when he noticed Xin Yi had agreed.

"You can use a gun, can’t you?" Xin Yi asked once they were inside the van.

"Yes," Zhang Caixuan replied positively.

"That means you will not hesitate to shoot at someone," Xin Yi commented as he fixed the gun.

Zhang Caixuan froze as he looked at Xin Yi speechlessly.
