"I hope they find Gu Shishi, I don’t know what the girl might be thinking now," Grandma Gu had a worried look on her face.

"She will be fine, and I believe that they will find her, you simply need to remain calm, all will be well," Grandpa Gu reassuringly patting her shoulders.

Gu Leng rolled his eyes before he walked up to his room. He was followed by his other brothers, who sneered before they left.

Gu Shishi did not know where she was running to, but she was sure she needed to get out of the house.

Lu Wei did not respond, but his actions showed that she could stay in his hands as he held her tightly.

Ten minutes later, Gu Shishi stopped crying.

"Can you get me out of this place?" She asked, disentangling herself from him, and rose to her feet.

"Where do you want to go?" Lu Wei asked, rising after her.

"Anywhere, just take me away from this place, I cannot stand it," Gu Shishi pleaded, her eyes still stained with tears.

"Fine, get into the car," he instructed, and they both went into the car.

A few minutes later, they arrived at a beach. It was dark at night, and they were the only ones present.

"This is where I come to unwind, you can air out all your sorrows here," Lu Wei said to her, and she gave him a grateful smile.

Gu Shishi exited the car, followed by Lu Wei who watched her take small steps to the water, and he sighed. He hoped she will open up to him.

"You know, I thought my dad hated me because I was a girl, it turns out I should not have even existed," Gu Shishi started.

Lu Wei replied. He felt that she had more to say, but her words confused him.
