The guard’s face changed when they heard the information being transmitted to him through their devices.

Zhang Luiying smiled when she saw the change. She realized that her Uncle, Zhang Bo, must have given them the order to let her in.

"Sorry for the previous confusion, my Master would like to see you," the guard gave an apologetic smile to Zhang Luiying, who did not take offense. After all, they were just doing their jobs.

"Shall we go in?" Zhang Luiying’s smile remained on her face.

As they were about to go in, they heard the sound of car driving to them.

Zhang Luiying sighed. Even before turning to look at the car, she knew who it was. It was none other than Xin Yi.

"Wait, I will be going in with my wife," Xin Yi stopped them as he walked to them.

He did not bother to look at Zhang Luiying. He still felt betrayed. She did not think of the child in her stomach, before she took such a big and risky move. He was furious with her.

Zhang Luiying bit her lips. She could sense the anger he was emanating, despite having a smile on his face.

The guard had a complicated look on his face. He was only asked to bring Zhang Luiying in, there was no order for him to bring in another person.

While they were staring at each other awkwardly, the guard received another order.

"Please come in, you both are our esteemed guests, it is this lowly one’s fault for not realizing you immediately," the guard smiled as he let them in, kissing their asses along the way.

"You should not have followed me," Zhang Luiying whispered to Xin Yi, who scoffed at once.

"Do I need to remind you that you are pregnant? Even if you do not care about yourself, at least, think about your child," Xin Yi let out through gritted teeth. It was clear that he was annoyed with her.

Zhang Luiying lowered her head as they continued with their journey. She finally realized that her actions were impulsive.

"I am sorry, I guess I was not thinking when I took such a bold step," Zhang Luiying apologized, realizing that she had committed an offense.

The guard was scared as he did not even take them in. It was the maid who noticed them, and brought them into the building.

"Please, have a seat, Master will be with you shortly, do you want juice or pastries?" The maid asked politely, and the couple shook their heads.

They could not risk having anything in this house, regardless of how friendly the maids seem. They only listened to their Master. It was better to be safe than sorry.

"I am still mad at you, why would you take such a considerable risk? Did you not think about the baby in you?" Xin Yi spoke through gritted teeth.

"I am sorry, I have realized that I was wrong, please, forgive me, but we cannot change anything since we are here already, let’s just go with the flow," Zhang Luiying apologized, her lips were pouted as she stared at Xin Yi with misty eyes.

"Fine," Xin Yi agreed. He could not stay mad at her for a long time, this was how much he loved her.

"Niece, it is so nice of you to visit me, honestly, I was not expecting you to show up at my humble abode," the couple turned their heads to the source of the sound. The voice belonged to Zhang Bo.

"Uncle," Zhang Luiying called out, her voice sounded detached as she watched him take slow steps towards her.

This was her father’s elder brother, the mastermind behind the problems concerning her family. He is the one who started it, but she would be putting an end to it.

"Wait, why were you not served some refreshments? My niece and her husband visited me today, and they are not accorded the respect they deserve, this is a slap on my face," while Zhang Bo was saying this, he did not make any attempt to correct it.

Zhang Luiying rolled her eyes at his actions. He was a master of pretense, and she was not willing to exchange words with him.

Zhang Luiying did not respond to his words, there was nothing she could say.

"So why are you here? Surely, you did not come to exchange words with me," Zhang Bo asked with folded arms.

Zhang Luiying and Xin Yi exchanged looks with Xin Yi nodding in encouragement.

"I would like you to hand yourself over to the police, you have committed numerous crimes, from separating from my parents, to kidnapping, if that isn’t enough, you colluded with one of the executives of our company to steal from the company, just these are enough to put you in jail."

Zhang Luiying patiently listed his crimes, as she gave him a smile. Zhang Bo was previously haughty, but his face changed on hearing her words.

He thought he had the upper hand, but he did not expect for Zhang Luiying to list out his crimes, laying it bare for him to listen to.

"And what if I choose not to do as you said, would you send me to jail yourself? And besides, there is no proof for all the crimes you just accused me of," Zhang Bo regained his composure as he assumed they did not possess evidence.

Zhang Luiying chuckled.

"Mr. Zhang, you definitely underestimate us, that is your mistake, never underestimate your enemies," Xin Yi spoke for the first time since the beginning of the discussion.

"What do you mean by that?" Zhang Bo asked, suppressing the fear in his heart. For some reason, he had a bad feeling, and no matter how he tried to suppress it, it did not work, instead, the fear increased.

"Do you think Zhang Luiying would speak without thinking? If she has said this, then it means there is proof, I suggest you turn yourself in, it will be demeaning to your reputation if the police arrested you themselves," Xin Yi smiled.
