"Playing dumb, are we? It is fine, let’s wait a bit, your fathers would be here, let’s watch, will you be the reason for your fathers’ deaths, we will watch a show soon, I can’t wait," The man had an excited smile on his face as he returned to his seat.

Meanwhile, Li Qiang and Wu Tang were seriously searching for the kids.

"Found it," Li Qiang exclaimed when they got to a weird looking door.

"Are you sure it is here?" Wu Tang asked as he stared at the door skeptically.

"The chip keeps ringing at this particular door, they must be in here," Li Qiang replied as he looked at the door with a frown.

"Let’s check it, and if they aren’t here, we would have to keep searching," Wu Tang exhaled, as he approached the door.

Wu Tang carefully unlocked the door. The people behind the door had looks of expectations on their faces, all for different reasons.

Once Wu Tang opened the door, he and Li Qiang walked in.

They squinted their eyes immediately as the room was dark.

"Welcome, we have been waiting for you," The man’s voice rang out excitedly.

"Godfather," Wu Tang called out with uncertainty.

"Ahh, he recognises me, I am so happy, do you like my surprise?" The man who turned out to be the Godfather laughed.

Li Qiang’s brows furrowed. He found the voice to be extremely familiar, but he was at a loss on where he heard the voice.

"Godfather, where are the kids?" Li Qiang asked, going straight to the point.

"Always so eager, you won’t even ask who I am? Li Qiang, did your grandfather train you this way?" The Godfather asked while clicking his tongue in disappointment.

Li Qiang did not respond. He quietly moved around, hoping he could find the switch. He needed to put on the light, so they could see.

And perhaps, they could find out the real identity of the Godfather.

Luckily for Li Qiang, he was able to find the switch, and he switched on the light at once, which surprised the Godfather as his hands immediately flew to his face.

"Dad!" The kids exclaimed at once, making their presence known to the two men.

"Kids," Wu Tang rushed to them as he tried to untie their hands, while Li Qiang looked at the Godfather with surprise.

"Uncle?" Li Qiang called out in shock.

Despite the fact that Li Beichen, who is the Godfather was quick to cover his face, Li Qiang was able to catch a glimpse of his face, hence, the reason he shouted in shock.

Wu Tang stopped what he was doing immediately as he turned to look at Li Beichen who had placed his hands down.

"You finally found out," Li Beichen scoffed as he walked around Li Qiang who was still shaken by the news.

Seeing that he was distracted, Wu Tang returned to untying the kids’ hands. It would be better if the kids were out of the room, as he sensed that a fight would break out soon.

"Why?" Li Qiang whispered with his head lowered.

Although, he did not have a good relationship with his uncle, Li Beichen was still a member of the Li family, and it was disheartening seeing that he was the mastermind behind all the problems.

He had planned for over fifteen years. One could see the dedication Li Beichen had, but to Li Qiang, it was a slap to the family’s face.

"I asked why, why did you do this? Now that I think about it, I now realize why this building feels so familiar to me, you were the one who kidnapped me when I was a kid, right? You are also the reason for my parents’ deaths, am I mistaken?" Li Qiang glared at the man who did not have a remorseful look on his face.

"You are quite smart, you figured out everything in just mere seconds, you are smart, just like your late father," Li Beichen chuckled, indirectly admitting to Ki Qiang’s claims.

"You demon," Li Qiang was stimulated as he directly pointed his gun towards him, his veins popping as he glared furiously at Li Beichen who still had a smile on his face.

The kids gasped silently. They had never seen Li Qiang so furious. It just shows that Li Beichen’s crimes were serious.

"Shh," Wu Tang warned the kids by placing his finger on his lips.

They had to be quiet, so that Li Beichen’s attention won’t return to them. Knowing how crazy he was, he could use the kids as a way of escape, and Wu Tang would rather not let it happen.

"Oh, are you going to shoot at me? If you do so, and I end up dying, you will also be a murderer, we would be the same people," Li Beichen laughed.

"Even if I end up dying, I don’t feel bad about it, but you," Li Beichen paused as he turned to look at the kids who were free.

He scoffed.

"You still have kids, if you end up killing me, I wonder how your wife and kids would fare," Li Beichen shook his head, feigning sadness.

Li Qiang tightened his hands around the gun. He was not going to shoot, he was not that dumb.

But how did he wish he could shoot. Li Beichen separated him from his family.

"I won’t kill you, killing you would give you an easy escape, I only want to know the truth, why did you do this? Why such an intricate plot?" Li Qiang asked, still aiming the gun at him.

"I will answer you, but first, I really don’t want to bring your kids into this matter, so it is best you let them leave, we do not want them to see a bloody scene later on," Li Beichen was giving them a way iutm

Thankfully, he was clear about who his enemies were.

Wu Tang immediately rushed out with the kids, and luckily, he met one of the men, instructing them to take the kids to the car.

"Father, I don’t want to go, let me stay back," Tang Ni stubbornly refused to follow the man.

"Be good, father will be out soon, we just need to take care of unfinished business, you need to protect the girls, that is your task," Wu Tang pushed the three kids into the arms of the man who led them away.

Wu Tang’s lips parted when he walked in. He was not expecting what he would see in the room.

Li Beichen was down on one knee, it appeared that he had been shot. Li Qiang, on the other hand, was holding onto his gun tightly, his face tight as different, complex emotions appeared on his face.

Wu Tang could determine what could have happened here.

According to Li Beichen’s character, he would have said something which must have annoyed Li Qiang, hence, he was shot.

Wu Tang let out a sigh, hoping the matter would end immediately. He secretly tapped his phone, which was a quick way of contacting the Police.

He would not want Li Qiang to take drastic action. It was best to involve the Police now that the kids have been rescued.

"You are such a scum, this is the reason grandfather didn’t leave anything to your name, your actions are a result of this mess, you are meant to change your ways, but no, you keep on committing bad activities," Li Qiang sneered, still glaring at Li Beichen who had a smug smile on his face.

"There is no need for you to act righteously, if you were in my position, you would do the same, or even worse," Li Beichen spat out.

"That’s a lie, I can never do the same thing which you did, I admit I might not be good, but I don’t go around, stabbing my family in the back regardless of what they might have done," Li Qiang retorted.

"Why don’t you just admit it? We are both the same, after all, we are related to each other," Li Beichen chuckled.

Li Qiang felt disoriented, and Wu Tang immediately noticed it.

"Hey, don’t let his words get to you, he is only doing this because he is weak, and if you give in, you would be just as he is," Wu Tang walked to Li Qiang, whispering the words into his ears.

Li Qiang exhaled as he slowly dropped the gun. For a moment, it felt like he had lost himself. He had almost succumbed to the darkness which Li Beichen had slowly crafted out.

"I almost lost myself there," Li Qiang whispered as he slowly dropped to the floor.

"It is understandable, don’t fret, and I have also called the Police, they are on their way," Wu Tang informed him.

Li Beichen’s face changed as he glared at Wu Tang.

"After all I have done for you, you chose to repay me in this manner, perhaps, I should have left you to die," Li Beichen snarled.

Wu Tang, in return gave him a blank stare.
