Chapter 263: Chapter 263: Godfather I

Song Recommendation: Howling By XG

Li Qiang shook his head. He would rather not have any bad thoughts.

Li Qiang’s hands tapped rapidly over the keyboard. Having mastered the art of typing quickly, his fingers moved in a blur which was unable to be seen with the normal human eye.

After what seemed like an eternity, Li Qiang jumped to his feet, exclaiming, "I got it!"

"Found it?" Wu Tang rose to his feet, staring at Li Qiang expectantly.

"Yes, but it’s strange," Li Qiang replied as he returned to see his seat, staring at the laptop intently.

"What is wrong?" Wu Tang asked as he also came to stand behind Li Qiang.

"Their location seems familiar, like I have seen it someplace before, but I cannot recall where that is," Li Qiang replied, still staring at it intently.

"You will have time to worry about that later, as of now, we need to rescue the kids," Wu Tang’s worry was not correlating with Li Qiang, he only wanted to rescue the kids.

"You are right, I will think about it later, will you inform your men?" Li Qiang asked.

"I will, just tell me where the location is," Wu Tang replied as he got ready to inform his men.

Bo, who was watching everything with parted lips exhaled. He was surprised as to how Li Qiang found the location in such a short period of time. Perhaps, this was the reason Wu Tang trusted him.

"Good, I will inform my men as well, let’s head out, these kids must return home today," Li Qiang muttered with cold eyes. He was in a terrible mood.

He hoped to see who the godfather was, and if he found out who that was, he would beat him up before sending him to the Police as he had dared to touch his family.

An hour later, two cars drove in, accompanied by a truck filled with men holding on to guns.

These men were naturally Li Qiang and Wu Tang. The men in the truck were theirs.

They were at an abandoned house which looked dilapidated, and was about to fall off.

Li Qiang’s eyes moved about as he frowned. The more he stared at the house, the more he found it to be familiar.

Several strange memories appeared before his eyes, causing him to feel his headache.

He shook his head thoroughly to get the random images out of his head. Those images were blurry, and he was unable to make out what they were. It was better for him to not think about it.

Li Qiang and Wu Tang exited the car as Wu Tang approached Li Qiang.

"Are you sure they are here? This place looks dangerous, do you think the Godfather would risk the kids’ life just because he wants to deal with us?" Wu Tang asked, his brows furrowing.

"What do you think?" Li Qiang did not respond, throwing the question back to Wu Tang.

"The Godfather doesn’t care about anyone as long as his job is done," Wu Tang muttered, and his heart felt a chill.

While Wu Tang worked with the Godfather previously, he did not show that he was a ruthless person, rather, he had a fatherly figure which allowed him to be close to the Godfather.

He never expected that, to deal with him, the Godfather would involve three innocent kids.

"You have answered it yourself, he is ruthless, and doesn’t care about anyone, from what you have told me about him, he doesn’t have a family, including kids, so he doesn’t care about our kids’ lives, to him, they are just pawns to get through to us," Li Qiang explained.

The more he explained, the more Wu Tang felt immense hatred for the Godfather.

"What do you suggest we do?" Wu Tang asked, subconsciously treating Li Qiang as the head.

"We save our kids, by charging in, that is what we would do," Li Qiang replied with a matter-of-fact tone.

"Alright, I trust you," Wu Tang smiled, and for the first time since they found out the news of their kids being kidnapped, the two men smiled.

Li Qiang and Wu Tang, strapped with bulletproof vests, and a gun in hand, walked into the building which had a flickering light.

They were followed by six men, while the remaining men stayed back to keep watch.

Li Qiang had his watch around his wrist, which would give them the exact location.

"Be careful, there should be guards around," Li Qiang whispered to the men, and just as he had finished his words, they heard a gun being fired.

Li Qiang’s eyes turned cold as he fired in that direction. The person who had fired the shot earlier was the Godfather’s man, and Li Qiang had just killed him with a single shot.

But the noise would have been heard, which would put the rest of the men on high alert.

"Be careful, let’s split up, Wu Tang, you are coming with me, we have to look for the kids," Li Qiang gave swift orders, and they all split up.

Meanwhile, in a small room, the kids were tied up while being watched by a man who had a mask on his face.

"It seems your fathers are here, there will be a show later on," the man clicked his tongue as he stared at the three kids, each having different expressions on their faces.

Tang Ni had a blank expression on his face as he stared straight into the man’s eyes.

Li Chuxi glared fiercely at the man. She had a defiant look, and the look in her eyes reminded the man of Li Qiang when he was young. He was in the same position as the girl was now.

Li Meimei, on the other hand, was fidgeting. Normally, she gets scared at the slightest things, and when they were kidnapped, she cried loudly.

Presently, she had been manhandled roughly by the man, and although she was quiet, she was still fidgeting.

"But I am curious, how did your fathers find us so soon? And they came without the Police, are they that confident?" The man asked as he rose from his seat, circling the kids.

"Perhaps, there is a chip on one of you," the man commented as he proceeded to check Li Chuxi who snarled at him.

"My bad, my bad, I won’t check you, sheesh, you are just as feisty as your father, I recall when I had your father in the same position, it was so thrilling, but he was saved by his parents, but sadly, that day was the day his parents died,

So you can say your father was responsible for his parents’ deaths because if they chose to let the Police do their jobs, they wouldn’t have died, at least, not that day," the man shook his head disappointed.

"Or perhaps, if you have been a good person, you would not be responsible for two people’s deaths," Li Chu xi spat which brought the man’s attention to her once again.

"I wish you were older, then exciting things could have happened, but you should thank your lucky stars that I am not a pedophile," the man clicked his tongue, finding Li Chuxi to be quite interesting.

Tang Ni raised his head at the man’s words, and there was a change in his expression.

"Oh, Tang Ni, do you want to know what problem I have with your father?" The man asked as he asked as he walked in front of them, before stopping to look at Li Meimei who was so scared to meet his eyes.

He scoffed at her actions, finding her to be less appealing.

"I wonder who you got your character from, both of your parents are quite tenacious, your sister included, you are just the black sheep of the family," the man scoffed, each word hurting more than the previous.

Li Meimei lowered her head, about to burst into tears when she heard her sister’s loud yell.

"Hey you! How dare you talk to my sister that way? Do you know who she is? She is the baby of the house; hence, she has all the right to act the way she wants to, you have no right to judge her," Li Chuxi yelled at the man, before giving Li Meimei a reassuring nod, causing a smile to blossom on her face.

"Fine, fine, I won’t target your weak sister again, okay, so where was I? Oh yes, Tang Ni, your father, I took him in, I clothed him, trained him, and the best thing he could do was turn his back on me, and make friends with Li Qiang once again, if you were the one in my shoes, how would you react?" The man asked as he placed his hand on his forehead.

Tang Ni did not react, neither did he speak. He finally figured out something, the man was losing his mind.

Yes, this was Tang Ni’s conclusion. It was not his fault he thought this way. The man’s actions prompted him to have such thoughts.
