Chapter 1706: Snatching A Immortal Domain

-----

The White Mist Immortal began explaining what Immortal Domains truly were.

"Immortal Domains are special mystical spaces created by gathering and refining our Martial Intent and Spiritual Consciousness with Heavenly Ki at the moment of ascension. Our Golden Cores explode into a bubble made of this energy, and then the Immortal can choose to either harbor the Domain inside themselves or carry it outside.

Both have their pros and cons. Keeping it internal limits how much the Immortal Domain can absorb energy, and once inside, it cannot expand outward to serve as protection or aid in the creation of Formations. However, it provides excellent defense, greater mystical power, and several other benefits.

The external version is easier to manipulate, and you can enter it with your entire body, not just your Soul or Consciousness. It’s harder to move, but it can be used to create formations, protect large areas, or even expand into an Immortal Paradise. This can also happen when an Immortal with an internal Domain dies—their Domain becomes a Pocket Realm, a treasure trove born from their Immortal Domain."

"Hmm, alright, that’s pretty interesting," Maria nodded. "I think I’ll just eat your Immortal Domain and add it to my Soul Realm." 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

"So you are an internal Immortal Domain practitioner. You can’t enter it physically," he said, sighing.

"I can though?" Maria wondered. "Come with me."

Maria grabbed him, opening a black hole in her chest that terrified him. The Immortal screamed in horror as he and Maria were sucked inside, appearing in a somber, dark, and bizarre land of eternal night.

"W-What?! I’m not... I’m not dead! What is this horrible place?!" he screamed.

"My Soul Realm," Maria said beside him, startling him further. "As you can see, I can enter. Now let’s go back."

"W-Wait! Aaaagh!" the White Mist Immortal screamed as Maria dragged him back through her black hole, returning them to the outside world.

It was a bizarre and unsettling form of transportation, but it worked. Lucifer sweated nervously, remembering the time Maria had done the same thing to him.

Back in the Low Heavens, the White Mist Immortal begrudgingly opened a portal to his external Immortal Domain, allowing everyone to enter and see it.

And it was beautiful.

"Oho, now this is a Realm!" Maria nodded.

It wasn’t as vast as her Soul Realm, which was already as large as Earth’s surface, but it was definitely bigger than the mountain below.

It was an enormous mountainous valley with grasslands, rivers, lakes, and skies filled with white mist and golden clouds. Particles of Immortal Ki were so thick they resembled ethereal crystals drifting in the wind.

Shimmering trees grew above the clouds, rivers of colorful mist flowed, and creatures roamed freely—birds, winged insects, and beasts on land, most infused with Mist-Attribute Ki.

At the center of the skies stood a white palace, the Immortal’s home. Maria visited it with her family, wandering through its luxurious interior.

"Are you even going to strip me of my own house?" he sighed.

"Yep," Maria nodded. "We’re fusing it with the Pagoda so more disciples have space to live. You’ll still keep your room."

"R-Really? Well, that’s not too bad, I guess..." he muttered.

"Now where... Aha!" Maria quickly found the Treasury. Inside were thousands of Immortal Ki beads and tens of thousands of normal ones.

There were also many weapons and pieces of armor. Though all were Mortal Grade, they were unique to Murim and could serve as excellent materials for stronger equipment.

Maria stashed everything away, also finding a detailed map of the Thousand Mountains and the Low Heavens. She memorized it and fused it into her Automatic Mapping Skill.

Lastly, she demanded 70% of his System Points. She could have taken 100%, but she didn’t want to leave him completely broke.

"Ugh..." he groaned, unable to refuse her as she was his Necromancer and Master.

Ding!

[You have received 350,000,000 System Points from {Player}: [White Mist Immortal, Xiu Lan]!]

"Not as much as I expected, but it should cover your sect’s expenses. So you’re a Player, as I thought," Maria nodded. "Why not escape this place?"

"And why would I abandon my homeland? I was in a comfortable position until you suddenly appeared with Wu Lieng, you know?!" he complained.

"Yeah, yeah, I guess so," Maria said with a smile. "Too bad for you."

Xiu Lan grew irritated, but he couldn’t do anything about his feelings of inferiority. Suddenly, his fists blazed with phantasmal flames that turned dark red, surprising him.

"What is this immense power?"

"Oh? Nice. The Phantasmal Fist is just the beginning. It probably awakened your powers as an Undead. You don’t carry the name Rakshasa for nothing, right? You likely have a host of unique abilities."

"I haven’t felt this powerful in so long..." Xiu Lan said. "It’s refreshing... Hmph." He smiled confidently, clenching his fists. "I shall cultivate this new power and ascend once more."

"Oooh! Well said, master!"

"I see your motivation is not gone."

"Glad to see your new conviction."

His three Elders seemed pleased by his words. Maria, however, quickly kicked them all out of the Immortal Domain. Then, grabbing it with her bare hands, she tore it apart from the space, expanding a giant black hole that began absorbing everything.

FLUOSH!

"And there you go!" Maria laughed, as Xiu Lan screamed in horror, crying blood as he watched his beautiful Immortal Domain—his life’s work of hundreds of years—devoured in an instant.

"M-My beautiful... my beautiful Immortal Domain..." he sobbed, leaving his Elders disappointed once again by his pathetic reaction.

"Phew! We’re done here. Beautiful place, but we need to head down again. Let’s go," Maria said, using her Void Aura to drag everyone safely back to the sect’s territory. She then summoned the White Mist Palace, merging it into the Pagoda. The tower-like structure expanded horizontally, resembling an even larger and more glorious castle. "And done!"

"Isn’t it beautiful?" Maria said with a nod. "My own sect! This is so exciting!"

"Ugh... at my expense," the White Mist Immortal sighed.

"Anyway, shall we get going, Wu Lieng?" Maria asked. "You guys stay here and protect the territory, okay? I’m leaving a Shadow Portal so I can return if anything goes wrong."

"S-Sure..." Yoomyung nodded. "We’ll protect the place... though I wish I could go with my friend."

"Oh? Are you sure? I don’t mind," Maria said with a nod. "Alright, who else wants to come? Not everyone has to. You can stay here; we’ll return once we’re done checking the ruins of the Blood Demon Sect."

As Maria expected, everyone wanted to go with her. In the end, nothing changed. They rode on Lucifer’s back in his giant dragon form, flying over the mountains toward the ruins of the Blood Demon Sect.
