The disciples of the Nether Harbor Sect rushed out of the White Bone Tower one after another as Maria appeared before them.

"Oh, right. I almost forgot. Wait a moment, please."

However, Maria stopped them again. She used her thousand phantom hands to swiftly take all the scrolls, materials, and Ki beads they carried.

They escaped with their lives but were completely robbed.

"Now go before I change my mind!"

"T-Thank you for sparing us!"

"We will never forget your kindness and benevolence, great necromancer queen!"

"Run! Run!"

Maria watched them disappear over the horizon and smiled at her new treasures. The resources of the Nether Harbor Sect were all highly valuable for her necromancy studies.

She quickly stored everything in her Soul Realm and then noticed a blinding light rising from below.

"You won’t escape what you’ve done, monster!"

"We will avenge the Heavenly Prince!"

"Kill her!"

The giant Buddha swung its massive golden palm toward Maria, unleashing a titanic shockwave of pure Yin and Yang Harmony. The force clashed against her and pushed her back.

"Hey, pig. Come here!"

The Heavenly Prince’s zombie appeared instantly at Maria’s side. He had been slaughtering Trojan soldiers nearby, his face twisted with anger, frustration, and shame as he carried the pig form in one hand.

"Defend me."

She spoke with clear pleasure as the Heavenly Prince clashed against the Buddha-shaped Dharma Treasure. He unleashed his powerful techniques to hold it back as much as possible, serving as her meat shield.

"Heavenly Prince, please move aside!"

"T-This can’t be...!"

"What do we do?!"

"He’s dead, but now...! He’s fighting us!"

"Kill me! Just kill me already!" the Heavenly Prince begged. "Please! Don’t hold back!"

"But Prince, how could we?!"

"We’ll face the Heavenly Emperor’s wrath!"

"What do we do?!"

Watching the drama unfold, Maria couldn’t help but laugh so hard that tears formed in her eyes.

"Hahahaha! This is hilarious."

"IS THIS A JOKE TO YOU?!"

RUMBLE!

Another figure surged from below. Diomedes rose again, his Aura blazing. At his side were several of his strongest warriors, along with the Sunshine Empress, her three daughters, and her five Elders.

"Oh, not quite," Maria replied calmly. "I simply wanted to laugh for a change... to remind myself that I’m still human. Or at least trying to be one."

"Y-You wicked madwoman...!" the Sunshine Empress muttered. "I’ll show no mercy! My entire family will execute you today!"

"Come at me," Maria said, floating serenely in midair as her robes fluttered in the strong winds. "Oh? What’s this? You’re not attacking right away? Afraid? Are you afraid of me?"

Maria noticed their threats but saw them remain still, cautiously gauging her next move.

If she stayed motionless, they wouldn’t advance either.

"Haha... okay."

FLASH!

An explosion of lightning erupted as everyone heard the rapid buzzing of dragonfly wings.

Maria appeared behind the Empress. Her sword-heart soul surged with thunderous, phantasmal power.

The Empress gritted her teeth. Her fan unleashed a storm of flames that pushed Maria back before she swung her blazing sword, slicing Maria into two.

SLAAASH!

However, her triumphant smile vanished. The bisected Maria exploded, revealing only a Dream Ghost.

BOOOM!

"Uuugh!"

The Sunshine Empress felt immense pain as her soul trembled in agony. At the same time, her daughters and elders were hurled away by the blast.

"Mother-in-law!"

Diomedes roared in rage. He rushed to shield her, taking most of the explosion’s force with his massive body.

"AAAAGH!"

"Diomedes!"

His future wife watched in shock as he protected her mother. His body burned with phantasmal flames.

Yet his Divinity rapidly healed the wounds. Even Maria’s curses could not affect him long-term; they were purged almost instantly.

"I see. You have a special Physique or Divine Blessing?" Maria mused. "Some form of invulnerability, like Heracles, right? You mentioned being a Demigod. How fascinating."

"You know of the great hero Heracles?!" Diomedes asked in shock. "You...! Just who are you?!"

"Well, who doesn’t?" Maria replied. "Greek mythology and legends are everywhere back on Earth, genius. Your world isn’t that original, truth be told."

"What in the world are you talking about, madwoman?!" Diomedes roared.

Maria floated calmly, surrounded by dozens of enemies. Her Aura surged around her.

Her Martial Arts had elevated her strength to terrifying new heights.

Yet her family could not bear watching her facing them alone.

"Enough!"

"You’ve fought them all already, master. Let us join too!"

"Maria! Let me help!"

"Are you all right?!"

Lucifer, Partner, Alma, and Emeraldine rushed to her side. Jonathan led the rest of her family against the enormous enemy armies.

The Thousand Poison Cloud was handled by him as well. Though the Poisonous Needle Assassin was absent, Jonathan vanquished the poison with his powerful magic.

Meanwhile, the children were enjoying themselves. Nyx, Celes, Arachne, Ferleen, and Melianna rampaged freely. Wu Lieng and his disciples dealt with other threats.

Some Immortals appeared too, attempting to strike Maria’s disciples and family from behind. The Iron Fist Immortal and his family swiftly stopped them, alongside Nia and Arthur.

Maria noticed Arthur had become a leading figure among her disciples—a rival they hated yet admired and trusted most.

"Sorry about that," Maria giggled. An explosion of White Void Flames and Red Sword Ki erupted as Diomedes faced Lucifer, his golden sword blazing against the fiery scythe.

"YOU!" Diomedes roared. "Are you involved with her?! If you follow a madwoman like her, you must all be insane!" 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

"I’m still a little shocked by what she did," Alma admitted. Perhaps the most innocent among them had changed greatly through the journey, steeling her resolve. "But against bad people, one cannot show mercy. As they say, fight fire with fire."

"Jonathan has his methods, but we’re not as nice as she is," Partner said with a grin. "We’re going to crush you to death, and then I’ll happily drink a Demigod’s blood. Hahaha!"

"Please forgive us, but we cannot let you keep bullying Maria," Emeraldine said. Hundreds of shimmering elemental arrows surrounded her; many infused not only with Spirit Energy but overflowing Elemental Ki.
