Chapter 1739: The Power Of A True Necromancer

-----

Diomedes roared, rallying his forces against Maria.

"DON’T BE AFRAID! THIS WOMAN IS NOT INVINCIBLE! WE WILL BREAK THROUGH AND FIND VICTORY TOGETHER! COME ON!"

Maria smiled as courage returned to their eyes. Over a thousand warriors charged her at once.

The White Bone Tower and the Millenary Death Tree House rumbled. Their gates swung open, releasing hundreds of creatures. The Nether Harbor Sect’s tower summoned Skeletons, Ghostly Specters, and Jiangshi. The Millenary Death Tree House unleashed Dark Wood Spirits and Dark Wood Martial Beasts.

"Fine. My disciples need training after all," Maria said with a nod. "Ghostly Fist Sect and our allies, charge!"

Her Aura surged. She wielded the same formation-boosting powers Diomedes used, revealing she had not only killed Phobos but stolen his Divine Authority.

"Despicable! You’re a despicable witch like no other! A sinner who must be burned at the stake for your vile crimes! You are the vessel of evil! Malice itself!"

Diomedes overflowed with Divine Power from his inherited Divinity of War, combined with his cultivated strength at the Nascent Soul Realm. The fusion made him stronger than the average Immortal. He swung his giant golden sword, unleashing explosive red sword ki.

Maria evaded effortlessly, transforming into a ghostly thunder dragonfly with each strike.

"Fast! So fast!" Diomedes groaned as she flickered around him. Her phantom fists struck relentlessly. He blocked with his shield while trying to land a blow. "Face me! Stop running from my attacks!" 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"Hah, that bait won’t work on me. I have no shame," Maria replied. She appeared above him and kicked his head downward with thunderous force, sending Diomedes and his giant golden buddha plummeting into the mountains below.

BOOOM!

"You’re somehow related to that guy I killed?" Maria mused. "Well, let me tell you—he was a tyrant exploiting the people of that floor, slaughtering inhabitants, and draining the world’s water for its healing properties."

"Uncle Phobos... was a strategist! He did it for the Pantheon of Ares, for my grandfather!" Diomedes screamed, rising with only minor bleeding. His durability was remarkable. "Some sacrifices are necessary for the greater good!"

"Even if it means sacrificing an entire world of innocents?!" Maria demanded angrily. "Hah! You’re no different from any other villainous cultivator, Diomedes!"

"I am a War Hero!" Diomedes roared. His sword thundered with red sword ki shaped like a roaring lion, clashing against Maria’s phantasmal fist.

CRAAASH!

"If you live only to survive, grasping for more food to keep living, what difference do you and your people have from dogs?!" Maria asked furiously. "You have no honor, no pride. Your legacy is built on the blood of countless innocents! Olympus will fall, and I will kill all your gods with my own hands!"

"You speak only madness! Monster! Damned monster! I will stop you no matter what!" Diomedes screamed. His Aura exploded with overwhelming force. His Martial Soul manifested, fusing with his Divinity to form a god-like humanoid red lion with four arms and four giant swords. "RAAAAAHHH!"

Maria invoked her Fake Martial Soul. Their powers and auras erupted, clashing in massive explosions across the skies.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

"You’re strong, Diomedes! You’ll make an excellent soldier in my army!" Maria laughed wickedly, turning into pure thunder and vanishing. She evaded his strikes, reappearing above him as her Sword Soul Heart manifested powerfully. "HAH!"

"You’re too predictable— Ungh?!" Diomedes thought he had anticipated her movement, blocking her soul sword with his Martial Soul and golden blade.

BOOOMMM!!!

Divinities collided in a blinding explosion, but Maria prevailed. Her body overflowed with Void, nullifying much of the damage. She kicked Diomedes in the face repeatedly, then covered his muscular body with thousands of cuts.

"AAAAGH!"

He fell again. The Trojans battled Maria’s disciples in a tense stalemate. She glanced at the other sects converging from every direction—left, right, above, below.

"Heh."

Maria smiled and snapped her fingers. Dozens of black portals opened around her disciples. Giant undead emerged, radiating immense alien energies.

They resembled titans of black miasma with mithril bones. Tentacles formed their long hair, and eyes covered their entire bodies. These were her newest creations, still imperfect.

"Death Sentinels, show them the power of the Ghostly Fist Sect! Hahahaha!"

Maria laughed with exhilaration as her powerful undead joined the fray. Their glowing fists struck dozens of Trojans and cultivators, unleashing shockwaves of psychic power inherited from the Hive Insectoids.

Some were larger and bulkier, releasing devastating elemental attacks—infernos of flame, tornadoes of slicing winds, barrages of lightning beams, and freezing snowstorms.

When enemies struck with formations, magic, or artifacts, the Sentinels’ armors and magical veils absorbed most of the harm.

They were incredibly powerful and nearly impossible to kill.

These prototypes were Maria’s step toward her "Perfect Undead," born in Necroterra’s Undead Breeding Grounds.

"What are these undead?!"

"They far surpass anything we could create!"

"Impossible! Is this the true power of a Necromancer who has conquered worlds in the Tower?!"

"We are nothing before her!"

The Nether Harbor Sect stared in shock at her Undead Army, especially the near-invincible Death Sentinels. Their giant White Bone Tower trembled and began retreating.

Maria, however, refused to let them escape.

"If you want to live, abandon your White Bone Tower and every treasure inside. I’ll spare your lives and let you flee!" she declared, halting them with her Void Aura.

"B-But Senior!"

"Have mercy! We are mere apprentices compared to your masterpieces!"

"W-We have nothing valuable to offer!"

"Your sect didn’t even send a single Immortal, huh? They truly had no faith in you," Maria said coldly. "Now move, or you’ll all become my skeletons."

"Eek!"

The disciples hurried out of the tower one by one. Maria stopped them again, using her thousand phantom hands to strip them of scrolls, materials, and Ki beads.

The disciples of the Nether Harbor Sect stepped outside of the White Bone Tower one after another after Maria appeared in front of them.
