Reborn As A Ghost: Time To Build My Undead Army!-Chapter 1747: A Vampire Mother

It seemed the Heavenly Emperor's words were final. There was no way to change his mind. Xarion looked slightly disappointed, but for the sake of their alliance, he nodded and accepted the decision.
"Okay. I promise I won't do anything… but what my children do is beyond my control. I can hardly manage those kids nowadays."
"…What?"
"I mean, if they run down and take him for our clan, what can I do? I can't stop them…" Xarion shrugged as he walked away from the conference room. "Anyway, good night, Heavenly Emperor."
Xarion vanished, leaving the Heavenly Emperor with a furious expression.
"Those bastards… I do everything to keep our alliance stable, yet they keep trying to trample over me!" he growled, his face turning red. "One day, I will trample over them… Yes, one day when I reign supreme over the Tower."

Inside the Vampire Sect, a Vampiress with long silvery-white hair and sharp red eyes indulged in the blood and soul essence of today's offerings—fifty beautiful female cultivators.
As they screamed in agony until their bodies withered and died, the woman noticed someone entering her chamber. It was another Vampire like herself.
"Great Archduchess Veloria, I bring great news," the servant said. "The Poison Sect has been successfully converted… aside from a single member who kept refusing the Elixirs."
"Who?" the Archduchess asked, waving her hand to reduce the corpses to ashes and clean her room.
"The man known as the Poisonous Needle Master, the strongest Golden Core Expert of the Sect and only a step from reaching Nascent Soul," the servant replied. "However, it does not matter."
"I suppose so. A single soul is insignificant," the Archduchess nodded. "My father seems to have gone to visit the Heavenly Emperor. He complained to me that a friend he owes a favor to was upset about that stupid girl's death the other day. He wanted to deal with the Madwoman."
"The Madwoman?" the servant asked. "Ah, her…"
"Yes, what was her name again?" the Archduchess wondered.
"Maria, my lady," the servant said, lowering her head.
"Yes, yes…" the Archduchess nodded. She picked up a glowing red orb beside her throne, admiring the hundred souls spiraling in constant pain within it. "Fufu, fate works in mysterious ways—ways I've mastered with this Fate-Absorbing Crystal Ball. By trapping the souls of those connected to certain people, I can draw their Fate toward me."
"The Heavenly Demon's son, Wu Lieng, is with her, after all…" the servant noted. "Impressive. Was this your plan all along, master?"
"I didn't expect her to appear, but she'll be a wonderful bonus," the Archduchess laughed. "Has the Thousand Poison Master formed the pact with Lord Leviathan yet?"
"Yes…" the servant nodded. "He has attained the pact and plans to use the granted power to slay Maria while summoning Demons to this world."
"Perfect," the Archduchess laughed. "Demons will certainly make this world more interesting—a delightful mix of Demonic Energy. Demon Blood is delicious too! Ahh, these mortals are so useful nowadays. It makes me quite happy that everything is proceeding smoothly."
"I am glad, my lady," the servant said.
In the distance, behind a pillar, a little girl with red eyes and long white hair watched her mother with worried, fearful eyes.
Her face appeared slightly swollen. As a Dhampir, her regeneration was slower than that of pure-blooded Vampires.
It seemed her mother had beaten her again.
"Your daughter, my lady—has she been unruly?" the servant asked, her eyes gleaming with murderous intent.
"Nothing I cannot handle. Dhampirs come with their own quirks. I'm merely setting the brat straight," the Archduchess smiled. "My father was pleased to see someone who inherited the power of Cultivators at birth alongside our bloodline. He has great expectations for her."
"And what about your son, Terion?" the servant asked.
"Aaaah, the boy…" The Archduchess stood and began walking upside down across the ceiling. "He's talentless, so I discarded him. I left him with his father. The Thousand Poison Master hasn't done anything to him yet, but I wouldn't care if he turned the boy into a pill." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"I see," the servant smiled. "Reports say she's approaching the Darkwood Sect and the Nether Harbor Sect's allied territory… Both sects are prepared to confront her. They have support from the Olympus Pantheons of Wisdom and Sorcery."
"Olympus has barely invested in this world compared to us," the Archduchess laughed. "Let them do whatever they want. If either faction falls, it doesn't matter to us. However, I must obtain Wu Lieng. My father wants him, and I want him too. Though not as boundless as his father's, we could cultivate him, fatten him with pills and rich food, and turn him into an endless source of that delicious blood carrying such a powerful Bloodline."
"A wonderful idea," the servant nodded. "Shall we mobilize?"
"Yes, let's go. It's time," the Archduchess said, rising. "We won't engage immediately. Let those fools weaken them first. Then we strike from behind and end this quickly. I'm quite thirsty again for that delicious blood the Heavenly Emperor shares so sparingly with us…"
"Very well. I shall inform those under our Faction to prepare," the servant said before vanishing into black shadows.
The Archduchess smiled, pacing while humming happily.
Then she noticed her trembling daughter behind the pillar.
"What's wrong, my dear? Are you afraid?" she laughed. "I might have hit you a few times, but you know Mommy loves you, right?"
"Really…?" the girl asked, her voice shaking.
"Of course… come here," the Archduchess said, opening her arms.
The girl hesitated but slowly approached her mother.
Unlike Vampires, who were often born cold, she was a Dhampir and inherited the emotional warmth of humans.
She craved affection.
And the love of a mother—something largely foreign to Vampires.
Yet because she had done well, her mother rewarded her with a hug.
One brief hug.
"And done."
She pushed her daughter away after just three seconds. The girl sighed softly, longing for more.
"Mama, I want to hug you more… you only hug me once a month…" the girl cried.
"Maybe if you work harder, I'll hug you more," her mother giggled. "You'd better use that powerful Ability of yours, all right? Mama will need it for her plan."
"Um…" The girl glanced at the glowing orb. "Mama… will you free my friends one day? You promised that…"
SLAP!
"Auuuh…"
The girl cried out, falling to the floor as her mother slapped her hard. Her face turned red and began to bleed.
"My dear? What did I say about talking back to your mother?" the Archduchess asked with a forced smile. "You will do what I say… correct?"
