Chapter 1755: The Vampires Arrive

-----

TRUUUM!

The world darkened to a deep crimson as a blood moon ascended into the shadowed skies. The mountains below twisted and reformed, turning into jagged peaks of blood crystals while rivers of black miasma flowed through the valleys.

"What?!"

Lucifer glanced around in disbelief. This was not the power of Demons.

It was the same Formation they had faced once before.

Not from Demons, nor from Cultivators of Murim.

"Vampires!"

Lucifer roared in fury as a gigantic crimson tower materialized in the sky, radiating countless rivers of Blood Energy and Heavenly Ki. It manifested a powerful Dominion Formation.

"We’ve arrived just as things were heating up, it seems! Hahahahaha!"

A woman’s laughter echoed from atop the tower, her Aura distorting space and time in a way reminiscent of Leviathan.

Dozens of other Vampires surrounded her, unleashing their overwhelming Blood Soul Auras.

"Vampires now?!" Diomedes growled, incinerating a Demon with his divinity as he finished it off. "Xiao, stay close to me! This isn’t over yet!"

"Y-Yes!" Xiao nodded, swiftly beheading a smaller demon and burning its soul.

"Maria... she was swallowed by that enormous snake!" the Sunshine Empress cried. "I can’t believe it! Did she lose so easily?!"

"No, Master would never die like that!"

"She’s fighting that monster from inside its belly!"

"Trust her!"

"We must keep fighting and hold on. Her Demon Army is still with us. She’s not dead yet!"

Her disciples refused to lose hope in Maria. They clashed fiercely against the demons and the sudden surge of hundreds of Blood Beasts pouring from the corrupted mountains below.

Maria’s Undead fought with unwavering bravery. Her Death Sentinels gave everything they had, proving their loyalty as they shielded countless lives and saved many from certain death.

"T-That laughter...!" Wu Lieng muttered atop Little Black, his eyes widening in recognition. "I know it! From that memory, Little Black—the one Maria showed us. Your memory!"

"Grrrr... HISSS!" Little Black hissed viciously at the Vampire woman, a powerful Archduchess.

She was the one who had mercilessly extracted the souls from the people of the Blood Demon Sect as they screamed and begged for mercy.

And now, that very woman gazed down at Wu Lieng, her eyes gleaming with greed as she licked her lips.

At her side stood a small girl...

"Mu Ningxue...! She looks terrified," Wu Lieng sighed, his heart aching. "Is this truly what you wanted...?"

"Good evening, everyone! Please excuse our late arrival. We’ve simply come to collect what we missed!" the Vampire woman laughed. "I am Archduchess Veloria Lucarion, fourth Archduchess of the Lucarion Family! I arrive with two goals. To kill Maria and to take Wu Lieng with me. Those who aid me will be richly rewarded by the Lucarion Family. Those who dare oppose me... will face execution in the name of the Crimson Order."

"You want me?!" Wu Lieng demanded, his voice trembling with rage. "All this destruction, all the suffering you caused—just for me, a broken old man?!"

"Fufu, you don’t understand how precious your bloodline truly is," the woman laughed. "It produces the most exquisite blood in this tower. Well, aside from the blood of Olympians and those from the Upper Floors, which we rarely dare to taste."

"The Heavenly Demon Bloodline...?" Wu Lieng whispered, stunned. "What...?"

"You didn’t know?" she smiled cruelly, revealing the truth without hesitation. "Your father is not dead. For hundreds of years, he has been eternally imprisoned, his blood drained daily for us to drink... Fufu...! Hahahahah! And now, we will make you our personal blood bank. You’ll come home with us and feed our Crimson Emperor’s endless hunger!"

"Father... you’ve been feeding on him...?" Wu Lieng’s face contorted in utter despair.

He should have felt relief knowing his father lived, but the revelation of centuries of torment—reduced to a living blood bank—only deepened his agony beyond what he had felt when he believed his father dead.

"You’re monsters..." Kim Hua muttered, her voice breaking. "I can’t... believe this..."

"The Heavenly Demon is alive, but..."

"Oh... by the heavens..."

"Why would the Heavenly Emperor commit such an atrocity..."

Wu Lieng’s disciples fell silent in horror, but Little Black roared defiantly. Dream Soul Spheres materialized around him, transforming into fierce Dream Ghosts.

"ROOAAARRR!"

The brave beast guardian of the Blood Demon Sect refused to back down, no matter the odds.

"Fufu, why, you ask?" the woman cackled. "Because he’s our dog, that’s why! Heheh... HAHAHAHAHA!"

In that instant, something deep within Wu Lieng awakened.

It was not pain.

It was not grief.

It was not sorrow.

It was pure, unbridled rage.

His white hair turned jet black in an instant. His eyes blazed bright red, shifting into draconic slits.

Dark red scales erupted across his arms and legs as his body swelled, becoming three times more muscular and imposing.

A long draconic tail burst from his back, and sharp dragon horns sprouted from his forehead.

Not only did he appear decades younger, with his hair restored to black.

His entire form underwent complete Draconification.

"I have trained without rest, barely eating, for weeks on end."

"Hm? Oh my, this is splendid! You’ve awakened the bloodline! Now you’re perfectly ripe for extraction. You’ve saved us so much time, my dear."

"I have honed myself relentlessly, mastering the technique my father left me... Waiting patiently for this moment..."

Wu Lieng’s brows furrowed with overwhelming wrath.

"For the moment I could kill you."

"Me?! Hah... Hahahaha! How adorable! You’re just an old man. What could you possibly do against me—one of the greatest beings in existence? With a single thought, I could do this to you."

SPLAT!

Suddenly, Kim Hua exploded into fragments of flesh and blood.

"...Kim... Kim Hua...?"

The remaining disciples stood frozen, unable to comprehend what had just happened.

He was gone.

Just like that.

"Fufu, yes, that’s the expression I wanted. See now? This is the difference between—"

"NGAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"

RUMBLE!

Wu Lieng’s roar thundered across the Thousand Mountains, shaking the Low, Mid, and High Heavens with the fury of his awakened bloodline.

"NO MORE...! NO MOREEEEEEE!!!"

TRUUUM!

Space itself shattered as Wu Lieng leaped into the skies against all odds.

"IF YOU WANT ME, COME FOR ME! BUT DON’T TOUCH MY CHILDREN EVER AGAIN!!!"

With a scream laced with wrath, agony, despair, and profound sorrow, Wu Lieng ascended, roaring as he charged upward.

Dozens of Vampires surged toward him, assaulting him with devastating Blood Magic.

"Catch him! Quickly."

The woman clapped her hands, lounging relaxedly atop her throne.

"GET OUT OF MY WAY, YOU FILTHY MONSTERS! I WILL SLAUGHTER EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU IN THE NAME OF THE BLOOD DEMON SECT!!!" 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Wu Lieng was utterly consumed by rage—the perfect catalyst for his bloodline’s power.

By killing his beloved disciple, Archduchess Veloria had made a fatal mistake.
