She laughed joyfully as more thunderbolts descended, until the Low Heavens finally relented and turned away.
"Maria! It’s over!" Lucifer called.
"Mama, that was so much fun!" Nyx giggled. "I might have eaten a few too many Immortals though... burp. But don’t worry! Their souls are my new Phantom Friends!"
"Hahaha, she certainly enjoyed herself," Lucifer chuckled.
"Oh? Looks like everyone’s finished. Perfect! Shall we go have dinner? I’m starving! Come on, everyone, let’s eat," Maria said cheerfully, leading her three new "friends" along.
To them, Maria seemed utterly insane. Worse, her entire "family" appeared to consist of equally deranged beings who delighted in tormenting Immortals—and even devouring them.
