Reborn As A Ghost: Time To Build My Undead Army!-Chapter 1825: Swordsmanship Bonding
-----
Susanoo’s eyes widened as Maria vanished and a giant wasp appeared in her place, its sharp stinger piercing his chest. In the next instant, Maria reappeared, her sword plunging deep into the wound.
"I couldn’t feel her presence...! She disappeared... it felt... hahaha, like a mere bug was approaching?! I instinctively paid it no mind..."
Yet he gripped his blade with fierce determination.
"It’s not over!"
RUMBLE!
His Aura erupted violently. Swords surged from within, slashing toward Maria.
She summoned her Dome of Swords, shielding herself while deftly evading the thousands of blades raining down.
TRUUUM!
Then she transformed into a thunderous wasp once more, closing the distance in a flash.
Swords clashed. Storms raged. The heavens themselves trembled.
"Damn it, Susanoo! Don’t destroy the entire Heavenly Realm!"
Amaterasu groaned angrily, preparing to hurl a sunbeam at him.
FLASH!
Maria’s swords grew erratic, sometimes striking like a wasp, other times...
They became the lethal stinger of a scorpion.
"Again!"
Susanoo parried the blow, countering with a dragon slash that drove her toward the arena’s edge.
Yet Maria smiled.
Her sword glowed brightly as she spun.
FLASH!
As she whirled, her sword dome materialized beneath her feet, propelling her upward while slicing his dragon attack apart.
"What?!"
Susanoo stared in disbelief as he fell to the ground.
"Hah, okay, let’s see if—"
"The winner is Maria!"
His sister’s voice rang out, cutting the battle short.
Susanoo’s expression shifted instantly.
In a heartbeat, the exhilarating fight he wanted to last forever...
Ended.
"What?! What are you talking about, sister? I am not— Oh."
He glanced down and froze. His foot had crossed the arena’s boundary.
His jaw dropped.
"EEEH?!"
His katana clattered to the ground as he began pounding the floor in frustration.
Maria descended slowly to his side and laughed warmly.
"Raise your head, Susanoo! That was an amazing battle. You were simply too focused on the fight and forgot the rules!" she said. "That’s how you lost. Maybe we can have another round later."
"Really?!" Susanoo’s face lit up. He stood quickly and bowed deeply to her. "Thank you! You are a wonderful woman, Maria! And an incredible swordswoman... Just what were those techniques?"
"What? The bugs?" Maria asked. "It’s just a mental image. Bugs can be quite lethal, so I incorporated their essence into my swordsmanship."
She deliberately omitted the part where she had once evolved into a bug-like ghost.
"That’s so... simple yet genius!" Susanoo exclaimed. "I always focus on big, intimidating things—dragons, tigers, phoenixes... But bugs...! I see...! The world isn’t so simple after all! With a sword, we can adapt the most lethal aspects of any creature."
"Yes, that’s right," Maria nodded.
"And those ghosts you summoned—what were they?" he asked eagerly.
"Dream Soul Spheres, born from my Dream Heart," Maria explained, summoning the nine spheres once more. "They are concentrations of my dreams, soul, and sword ki. A technique of my own original martial arts."
"A-Amazing! It’s like my Sword Clone... but far more durable..." he marveled.
"You’re not bad at all either, Susanoo. Your techniques are incredibly polished—it shows in every movement that you pay attention to the smallest details," Maria said gently, offering a warm smile. "You’re an admirable man and fully deserving of your title."
"M-Maria...!" Susanoo felt deeply moved. His eyes widened as he gazed at this remarkable, beautiful woman.
"Hey, Susanoo, move away already!"
"What is he planning now?"
"I-I..."
Susanoo stepped closer, ignoring Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi’s voices urging him to step back. They stood right behind him.
Maria blushed slightly, tilting her head as she looked at the burly, admirable swordsman whose eyes held far more than admiration.
"We just met tonight, and yet... I cannot stop thinking about you," he confessed, breathing heavily. "Maria...! You’re wonderful—the best woman I’ve ever met... and so beautiful, not just in appearance but in your soul! Your sword...! I... I am in love!"
The Kamis gasped—even his siblings.
Susanoo had long been called "sword sexual" by most Kamis. He had never shown interest in women... or men.
He cared only for combat, honing his blade, and relentless training.
Yet now, to the astonishment of everyone, this man—perhaps the only virgin god in all of Zipangu—declared his love openly!
"You are?!" Maria gasped. "We just met, Susanoo!"
"I know, but...!" Susanoo gently took her delicate hands. "To think you wield your blade with such dexterity and mastery, and with such strength, even though your hands are so small and delicate—like a pair of beautiful white jades."
Maria gazed into his fiery eyes and felt something stir within her as well.
She felt the same.
Becoming a swordswoman and losing herself in the path had changed her deeply.
A man she would never have noticed before was now someone she admired—someone she wanted to keep sparring with, to grow alongside.
"Is that so?" Maria smiled sweetly. "Your hands are big, rough, and manly. They show hundreds of thousands of years of experience, unlike mine. And honestly... they’re beautiful too."
"Even if they’re covered in calluses and scars?" he asked softly.
"Yes..." Maria smiled warmly. "Hahaha... What am I saying? I really need to sleep now..."
"Maria, wait!" Susanoo gently stopped her. "Please... I...! I don’t know how to say it properly! Please, just... stay."
"..."
"..."
They looked at each other. Maria smiled and stepped closer.
She caressed his beard, her face drawing nearer.
The Kamis watched in stunned silence.
Maria’s lips slowly met his.
Susanoo’s eyes widened. Her soft lips felt heavenly.
He closed his eyes and returned the kiss.
He lifted her effortlessly, his large hands gripping her firmly.
They kissed passionately. Susanoo trailed kisses along her neck and shoulders.
"OI, SUSANOO, THAT’S ENOUGH, YOU PERVERT!"
Amaterasu fired a massive beam of light on his back. An explosion erupted.
BOOOM!
"Sister, you went too far!" Tsukuyomi cried.
"He was making out with Maria out of nowhere!" Amaterasu protested.
The smoke cleared to reveal Maria had formed a Sword Dome to shield him from the blast.
Their lips had been locked in a deep, passionate kiss, but they parted reluctantly, realizing this was not the place.
"I’m sorry about this, sister. I can’t stop now..." Susanoo said. "I’m taking her to my chambers. Tomorrow we can continue talking!"
"Maria?! Are you sure?!" Amaterasu asked urgently.
"I don’t care anymore," Maria replied with a shrug. "I’m going to live in the moment."
Susanoo lifted Maria in his arms like a princess and flew swiftly into the heavens, heading toward his large home.
There, they resumed kissing with unrestrained passion.
Slowly, he undressed her and began kissing and licking her full breasts.
"Oh, Maria... You’re so beautiful...!"
"Aahhh~! Susanoo...!"
They kissed deeply once more before Susanoo could hold back no longer—his desire for her burned too fiercely.
Maria understood. She slipped out of her dress, spread her legs, and gently took hold of him.
"It’s your first time, right? Come on, I’ll help you."
She was gentle, loving, and almost motherly. Susanoo felt an overwhelming wave of affection and warmth.
He slowly thrusted his sword inside her sheath, feeling her warmth envelop him completely.
