Chapter 1826: A Shared Sword Heart

-----

"Ahhh...! Maria...!"

Susanoo kissed Maria passionately as he grasped her legs and spread them wide. Maria moaned loudly while he moved faster and faster.

He was a huge man, larger than her two husbands combined, a complete bear of a figure.

His thrusting was unskilled, but his sword was thick and strong, reaching deep. Maria moaned with pleasure, kissing him back and locking her legs around his waist.

The two paused. Susanoo felt her sheath growing hotter and wetter with every passing moment.

It was an indescribable sensation. Love overwhelmed the sword god.

"Maria, I love you!"

As he declared his sudden love, he kissed her once more. Beneath the moonlight, Susanoo released all of his love deep inside her.

His sword remained buried tightly, refusing to withdraw.

Maria smiled at him, caressing his face.

"I think I might love you too. What a strange sensation... fufu, so this is what they call love at first sight?"

"Indeed... my beautiful goddess."

Susanoo caressed her face in return, kissing her again and again.

He didn’t stop there. Through the rest of the night, he refused to let her go.

Maria remained passive for the first half, but in the latter half she unleashed her great techniques and overpowered him.

Susanoo ultimately lost the battle, utterly defeated and drained by this vixen.

Yet in the end, both fell asleep happily together, cuddling on Susanoo’s large bed.

Until the morning sun rose above the skies.

When he awoke, he found her sleeping peacefully beside him.

Her long white hair spilled across most of the bed.

"Ahh... It wasn’t a dream..." he whispered, smiling. "I truly found the woman I love last night... Hahaha, heavens, I owe you everything. Thank you for bringing her to me."

Susanoo unsheathed his sword and swung it through the air, practicing swordsmanship on the terrace.

His resolve was being reforged.

For his beloved, he would do anything.

"Destroying the tower, huh?"

He smiled, pointing his blade toward the distant tower.

"She’s as brave as she is reckless, hahaha!"

As he gripped the sword tightly, channeling both his love and the memories of that night—Susanoo felt himself progressing much faster.

"Amazing... so many ideas! I have never received this kind of inspiration before... Hahaha! Maria... I see! It was you. This is what I needed—love! Only through love could I break past my bottleneck."

FLAAASH!

RUMBLE!

At that moment, Susanoo’s Aura and Soul surged hundreds of times stronger.

Out of nowhere, he ascended into an even higher realm.

His katana clattered to the floor. From his soul emerged a bright golden and white katana.

"Sword Soul Heart...! I see!"

As he celebrated, he rushed inside.

"Maria! Maria! I did it!"

"Hmm? Susanoo? Ah! Shit, I slept with you last night!"

Maria felt a brief pang of regret, like most of her life decisions, but then noticed what he was holding.

"Oh wow! You made it?!"

"Yes! I DID! I OWE IT ALL TO YOU! HAHAHA!"

He hugged her tightly and lifted her up in joy. Maria laughed along with him.

"How about a little spar before breakfast?" Maria asked.

"Yes! Of course!" Susanoo nodded with a wide smile.

As they sparred, Maria told Susanoo about her other two husbands and her three other wives.

Susanoo was surprised, but he had already sensed in her heart that she held many precious people.

This was how she had elevated her swordsmanship so far, after all.

So it wasn’t shocking to him. He accepted it without issue.

"That’s amazing. I wonder if I can meet them?" Susanoo asked. "Are your two other husbands good with the sword?"

"Lucifer is good with a scythe," Maria said. "Jonathan is good with a great sword—a western weapon. However, although his swordsmanship is incredible, he’s not as passionate about it as we are, hahah... he wields it more to protect others than because he loves it."

"I see!" Susanoo nodded. "Still, I would like to face them! If I win a battle, can I claim you all for myself?"

"What? Hahahaha!" Maria laughed out loud. "I am not a prize, Susanoo. You can’t do that."

"Ahhh, haha, my bad," Susanoo laughed along. He was happy Maria was so carefree and took no offense at his foolish words. "Most Kami say I’m kind of a dumbass, so..."

"Heheh, I know you’re a dummy," Maria said, sitting next to him after their spar. "I’m kind of dumb too."

"We get along for being dumb then?!" he gasped.

"No, idiot, hahaha!" Maria laughed. "Ah shit! I gotta go! My family... right, but shouldn’t we talk with your siblings?"

"Hmm! Bring them over then! Actually, let’s go down and I’ll bring them here. The Kami won’t say anything to me," Susanoo winked. "I want to see your big family! You already saw mine after all!"

"Sure! Let’s go!" Maria nodded.

Susanoo swung his blade, slicing through space and opening a portal.

"Woah?! You can make portals like this?" Maria asked.

"Yeah! Heh, I will teach you later, just because you’re my woman now," he smiled.

"Hoh~ so I get all kinds of benefits now~?" Maria giggled.

"Of course!" he replied. "You deserve the world and the heavens, and any bastard that dares cross you has to deal with me too!"

"Nice, thank you!" Maria said happily. She was glad to have gained such a powerful new ally in Susanoo.

Thanks to Susanoo’s help, Maria reached the city below and the inn, reuniting with her family who had grown worried about where she had gone.

She explained everything that happened the previous night, the gods’ approval, the battle against Susanoo, and what came afterward.

It all went smoothly until that last part.

"Wait, then why didn’t you return...?" Lucifer asked, crossing his arms. He glared at Susanoo with barely contained fury. "You bastard... What did you do to my wife?!"

He roared. White scales erupted across his body as his aura exploded with blazing anger.

Susanoo’s eyes widened. He felt the true might of a dragon god.

"Haha... You weren’t lying when you said your husbands were strong!" Susanoo said, genuinely amazed. "Calm down, great dragon king! I did nothing your wife wouldn’t have wanted."

"WHAT?!" Lucifer roared. "Maria, I am going to tear this jerk apart!"

"Lucifer, calm down please!" Maria tried to stop him. Jonathan grabbed him from behind and pulled him back.

"I’m sorry, Susanoo. He gets a little jealous even though he knows our relationship is open..." Maria sighed. "But he’s a good man."

"If you say so," Susanoo nodded, crossing his arms. "Hello, ladies."

He had barely glanced at the women. It seemed he only ever cared for Maria, ther women didn’t even seem to register as attractive to him.

"Ah, hi..." Emeraldine said, giggling. "Haha, this is really surprising!"

"I guess this is how you felt when I suddenly joined..." Nia said, nodding.

"Wow, so you’re my uncle now?" Nyx ran up to Susanoo. "You’re big!"

"Heheh, are you Maria’s daughter? She talked a lot about how brilliant you are!" Susanoo said warmly. "Wanna learn the sword from me?"

"Ehhh, I don’t like swords," Nyx shrugged.

"Eh?!" Susanoo gasped, looking genuinely heartbroken. "I-I see... that’s totally... totally fine."
