Reborn As A Ghost: Time To Build My Undead Army!-Chapter 1855: War Against The Olympian Gods
-----
Maria flew toward the Gate leading to Olympus's world. She opened her palm, revealing a miniature tower. The tower expanded to an immense size, and thousands of Immortals poured out alongside god-level undead, skeletons, ghosts, zombies, and more.
All the Vampires and Immortal Cultivators she had slain, the Heavenly Saints, the Thebians with their giant pyramids and mechs, Sobek, Anubis, four Archdemons and millions of demons, and finally, her own family.
Athena's face twisted in utter horror as she witnessed the scene unfolding near her father's temple.
They were not prepared for this!
It was too sudden.
Completely out of nowhere.
An army of monsters surged into Olympus, beginning to slaughter countless gods!
Worse still, members of the upper floors were among them—factions they had agreed to make peace and alliances with.
Vampires from the Crimson Order.
Two families from Thebes.
A few Olympian gods and dozens of demigods and divine beings.
"A-Ah…! What…! What is the meaning of this?! Everyone, get ready!"
She was far too late. As the goddess of Wisdom and War, she had been too slow.
The gods who emerged first to investigate the gates were instantly attacked.
Maria struck first. Her sword cut them down mercilessly, tearing them into shreds.
There was no point in mercy.
She would revive them immediately anyway.
"W-What's going on?!"
Ares watched in disbelief as gods were killed and then instantly revived—not as undead, but fully restored! And then… they turned against their own kin.
It was complete madness.
Utter madness!
"Olympians! Don't let these bastards shake your resolve! We are the strongest Divine Beings of the Tower!"
Zeus surged from his temple as he saw his many children and family being slaughtered.
From his temple, dozens of his strongest gods emerged—the Olympians.
Hera, his wife, rushed forth, overflowing with divine light.
Athena quickly summoned a magic mirror. An army of one hundred thousand divine spirits of war poured out.
Apollo descended from the skies, carrying the brilliant radiance of the sun. Behind him, an army of one hundred thousand divine sun spirits appeared.
Artemis fled from the mortal realm, wielding her divine bow. Another one hundred thousand divine wood spirits followed.
Ares summoned his massive army of millions of demigod warriors.
Hephaestus conjured a giant, floating mechanical fortress that produced tens of thousands of his soldiers every second.
Hermes flashed across the sky at lightning speed, carrying millions of golden souls he had once guided to the afterlife—now weaponized into his soldiers.
Maria instantly noticed some absences.
Other gods—Demeter, Poseidon, Hades, and so on—did not appear. They either did not care about Zeus and his wars or would arrive later.
Given how they always called Zeus the King of Olympus, perhaps the pantheons of his siblings refused to get involved.
Or were suppressed by him…
Either way, Maria charged forward with her family.
"You dared make my mother cry after all this time… You deserve nothing but the most agonizing death!"
Maria's fury blazed. Her divine wrath resonated through Olympus.
The blue sky darkened. Countless stars of chaos fell from above, destroying the floating islands.
Thousands of gods were struck by these falling stars, blasted into smithereens.
In moments, Maria and her family were already confronting Zeus.
His face twisted into despair.
Wasn't this far too quick?!
He had conquered ten entire worlds—yet Maria was overpowering them all!
Had his concept of the strongest always been wrong?
Or…
Was Maria simply an outlier—someone who defied logic?
"A being beyond logic… beyond space and time."
Zeus's face grew paler as he fought, repelling thousands of undead and burning them with his lightning.
"That presence…! An Outer God?!"
As Zeus began to regret everything he had done…
BOOOM!
A figure plummeted from the skies, a tall giant.
His body was pierced by ghostly swords, vomiting blood everywhere.
"F-Father…! Help… me…!"
"Ares?!"
His strongest son had fallen, dying!
Zeus looked up.
She was there.
Looking down at him.
Like he was a mere insect!
He—an insect?!
He was the great god of Olympus, king of all gods!
He had defeated his father in the Titanomachy and claimed dominion over this world and ten more…
"F-Father…!"
Ares begged for help, but Zeus did not move to save him.
Instead, he reached out with his hand and…
"You've served me well, Ares. Go rest in the Underworld. I'm sure your uncle will welcome you there."
"What… Father?!"
Ares fell into utter despair as his father drained every drop of his divine power and stole his divinity.
"What are you doing?! Stop…! STOP, FATHERRRRR!"
Ares screamed, his body withering into a dried mummy before dissipating into ashes…
Zeus smiled wickedly, sweat dripping from his brow. His son's power had been cultivated well.
His own power more than doubled!
War and Thunder merged into a single, even stronger Divinity!
"Heh… Heheheh…"
"Hah, you're as wicked as I've heard, Zeus."
"You're going to die for daring to kill my son…"
"Did I?"
"YOU KILLED ARES!"
Zeus roared. The other gods watched, eyes widening as Ares's soul descended into the Underworld.
They all believed he had died tragically.
None realized he had been betrayed by his own father!
Maria laughed loudly at Zeus's shamelessness. She rushed toward him, transforming into a wasp of golden lightning.
"NNGAAAH!"
Zeus roared and swung his hands forward, clashing bare-handed against Maria's sword.
Black and red thunder erupted from his evolved body.
"FACE THE MIGHT OF THE KING OF GODS!"
Maria and Zeus clashed, unleashing explosions of blinding light and darkness across the heavens.
The skies trembled. The ground shook with violent earthquakes.
Maria's sword and Zeus's fists moved with equal speed.
Somehow, it created a deadlock.
Maria swung her blade. Zeus intercepted and punched it aside.
Zeus's fist struck Maria. Her sword dome protected her and sliced his fingers instead—they regrew instantly.
"Zeus, I am benevolent enough, so I'll allow you to reunite with your son."
"…What?!"
Maria decided to terrify him. Ares's soul appeared beside her and was revived—his flesh restored completely from the bones she had collected.
It was barely within the time limit, so she seized the chance.
"I-Impossible…! You can revive?! How…! I don't understand! What are you?!"
"I am the bringer of the end and the one who will destroy this tower."
Maria patted Ares's head.
"Now, Ares, why don't you show your father how furious you are?"
"FATHER…! YOU BETRAYED ME!!!"
Ares attacked Zeus. His giant swords met his father's thunderous fists.
Explosions of thunder and war energy erupted across the sky.
Zeus was clearly stronger, but the shock left him unable to muster his full power.
Maria seized the opening.
Cutting through space and fusing with her Dream Soul Spheres, she unleashed maximum acceleration.
And…
CRAAASH!
"GUH?!"
Zeus vomited blood as Maria's blade pierced his back, his heart, and his soul.
"A-Ahh…! Y-You…!"
He desperately tried to fend her off with his divinity.
His allies rushed to help. His children panicked.
