Reborn As A Ghost: Time To Build My Undead Army!-Chapter 1858: Freeing Earth From All Threats
-----
Ra spread his wings and, with a single powerful flap, unleashed a raging storm of flames. It engulfed all four mechanical Archdemons and hurled them backward.
BOOOM!
Their bodies crashed into the ground, groaning in pain.
"Alright, time for plan B," Maria said with a nod. "Combine!"
At her command, the machines floated into the air under her power and merged in an instant!
"What…?!"
Ra stared in confusion as four Archdemons and two Egyptian gods fused into one colossal super-machine deity.
It blazed with demonic power and golden divinity, towering to titanic size.
"W-What is this?! Don't make me laugh…! You're just… as weak as before!"
Frustration twisted Ra's face. He attacked with wave after wave of divine sun flames.
But the titan stepped forward and simply tanked every surge.
Its stoic, human-like steel face—framed by a sea-serpent helmet—remained utterly unchanging. Its glowing eyes burned with demonic fire and golden divinity.
"Demonic Divine Blade, cut through all!"
Maria channeled her Sword Soul Heart into the giant machine, fueling the titan with even greater strength.
"T-This is…!"
Ra could no longer resist. Overwhelmed, countless strikes tore his vessel apart until he crumbled into fragments.
"NGAAAAH! D-DAMN IT!"
As he screamed, Ra began to flee this world.
However.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"NGH?!"
Ra's soul trembled. Sharp ghostly blades pierced him—dozens, hundreds, thousands of times!
"A-AHH…! AAAAHHH!"
She used the same technique she had once turned against Zeus.
The machine attacking him turned pitch black and transformed fully into Maria's female form, which she possessed completely.
With a blazing, starry blade, she sliced through Ra's soul.
More and more ghostly swords sprouted from within it.
A completely insane, nonsensical technique!
"How…! HOOOWWW…!"
Forced to abandon this fragment of his soul, Ra watched as Maria smiled at him with glowing, ominous eyes.
"Don't ever return to Earth, or you will face a fate worse than death. Stay in Thebes. Wait for me. I will come for you."
"O-Outer…! Outer God!"
He finally grasped the truth. In agony, that piece of his soul perished, exploding into particles of golden light.
BOOOM!
The entire Divine Domain grew unstable. Maria quickly turned all the fallen into Undead and devoured the Domain with her Soul Realm.
Yes, she chose to turn them into Undead rather than revive them—a whim of punishment.
Reviving everyone felt too dull. She still preferred Undead, who possessed unique advantages: tireless and free from the need for food.
Once finished, Maria checked her progress. She had reached Level 456 after these battles.
Most of her EXP came from obliterating Olympus, but she remained far from the max Level of 1000.
"To even reach halfway I had to destroy an entire world of gods…" Maria thought. "I wonder if I can reach it by dismantling the other upper-floor factions…"
As she pondered, she sighed in relief and rejoined her family. The machines returned to her Soul Realm, and the spirits of the Archdemons and gods went to rest.
"It's done now, right?" Laura asked. "Wow, that root battle was really amazing."
"Right? It doesn't hurt to have some fun every now and then," Maria replied with a smirk. "Alright, let's go back to sleep now, family."
The next day arrived. Maria checked the local news and learned of the pyramids' disappearance from the tower visitors, along with the dismantling of the Thebes guild.
With Vampires, Olympus, and Thebes vanquished, only minor factions remained on Earth—mostly refugees and immigrants rather than conquerors who exploited or devoured people.
Another vampire family had once existed, but after she destroyed one, they wisely fled, leaving only a few dhampirs as spies.
Maria had cleansed the globe of major threats in the most efficient way possible, accomplishing it in less than a week.
And in the process, she had even destroyed Olympus.
"With this… I think we can finally go back to Yggdrasil."
Maria smiled and sighed in relief.
Even though returning to Earth had filled her with joy, Yggdrasil was still her true home. She had lived far more years there than on Earth.
Many more.
She had built her family there, and many other members of her large family waited for her return.
After discussing it with her mother and sister, they agreed to go… after one more week of touring the globe and enjoying life.
Maria reluctantly consented. A week felt like too long—she wanted to leave immediately—but she gave in to their request.
Despite that, she cherished visiting places she had always dreamed of seeing with her family: Paris, Patagonia, Alaska, Antarctica, Japan, and more.
During these travels, Maria met immigrants and refugees from the tower. She learned of an Ancient Ice Giant Tribe living in Antarctica and numerous Murim Sects established in China and Korea.
Japan showed the strongest influence of the Kami from Zipangu. They had blessed many people and formed various guilds—righteous groups that protected citizens from monsters and the unique Yokai that appeared there while fending off the three conquerors who tried to dominate the world.
With Ferleen and Melianna, she also discovered tribes of beast people thriving in Africa, Australia, and Brazil's Amazon rainforest. They had escaped the Vampires and now lived prosperous, peaceful lives.
Like that, a week passed in the blink of an eye. It was finally time to move on.
As promised, her mother and sister joined her, packing everything they could into their storage rings and preparing for their first world jump.
They were incredibly excited.
"Ready? Let's go!"
Maria stepped through a portal straight to Yggdrasil, skipping all intermediate floors by adding her family to her party.
FLUOSH!
Piercing the dimensional membranes, Maria eased the pressure on them with her Void Aura, shielding them from harm.
Eventually, beautiful grasslands, lush forests, and snow-covered mountains welcomed them.
Alongside a large, thriving village filled with all kinds of people.
"It has been months… but we're back."
As she spoke, the people working nearby froze…
Goblins, dwarves, ice giants, demons, a few humans and elves—all turned to look at Maria and her family's return.
"LADY MARIAAAAA!"
They screamed and cheered, rushing toward her in pure joy that she had finally come back.
Although she had used a Soul Ego to watch over and protect them, it functioned more like an automatic golem connected to her consciousness than her true presence.
"Hahaha! Everyone! Calm down! Calm down! Hahahaha!"
Maria laughed as countless people greeted her. Even with her changed appearance, they recognized her instantly—her unique Mana Aura was unmistakable.
"H-How! What happened? You changed?"
"Your appearance changed, mother!"
A pair of children ran to her first—the ones she had saved and adopted—now radiating stronger auras than ever.
They had grown so much more powerful since she left!
It was Takeshi and Laura.
Her two adoptive children.
