2 weeks ago when Leon woke up, the ChronoSystem had an anomaly.
A few months ago when he just woke up inside the derelict SpaceX facility and received his first system mission from the ChronoSystem, Leon still vividly remembered what followed after he completed the first system mission.
Besides, the system always kept track of all its previous notifications which enabled him to easily access the old notification.

Leon still vividly remembered this system notification from back then.
Then, he learned of the 8 different unique functions of the ChronoSystem apart from the general Snooping Tool, Inventory, and System Shop for the first time.
Of the 8 unique functions of the ChronoSystem, Leon unlocked 2 of them at F Rank which corresponded to his only 2 skills as an F Rank Mechanist. According to the System then, he could only unlock the next function at C Rank.
After the first few days when he kept on thinking about it, after accepting his situation and realizing how far away C Rank was, he stopped thinking about it to avoid falling into depression but after he woke up from his second Ascendant Trial 2 weeks ago, there was an anomaly.
Apart from the physical changes and the changes to his qi that his body went through after becoming a D Rank Ascended, the ChronoSystem had an anomaly.
He could still vividly remember the System notification.

From its previous C Rank requirement, the requirement to unlock the Chrono Replication system function dropped to D Rank, the same thing applied for most of the other system functions.
The one that shocked him most was the System Assimilation function that dropped from the previous B Rank requirement all the way to D Rank.
Leon blinked. โIs this real?โ
He wasnโt sure what caused it but due to the initial System notification, he had a hunch that it was connected to him completing his second Ascendant Trial within just the first time.
โWait, even the System didnโt expect me to complete it the first time?โ
Again, that put into perspective again just how unfair and impossible the Trial was.
He felt complicated. โI donโt even know if I should be proud or sad or cursing at the systemโ.

Just like that, Leon unlocked 2 new unique system functions of the ChronoSystem.
Apart from the explanation by the system, due to his inherent connection to the ChronoSystem, he understood the utility and the core processes of both system functions immediately.
Both system functions worked by tapping from his ADE just like the Construct and Deconstruct Protocol.
With Chrono Replication, if he ever entered a situation so dire that all his Mechanist constructs were deployed, with it, he could recreate any of his constructs immediately, even if it was the Zerphyr-7 Stealth Reconnaissance UAV.
Leon didnโt need to be a genius to realize just how life-saving this could be, especially when he was finally about to enter the stage where he would be facing the Omnicore Federation directly.
After the events in his second Trial, seeing how strongly the Director-Prime opposed Ren Noraโs Ascension to C Rank, Leon already realized that he would not be able to stay under the radar anymore.
Whether he liked it or not, he was going to clash against the Omnicore Federation in the nearest future so it was better to prepare for it.
Because whether Director-Prime Epsilon liked it or not, Leon had no intentions of stopping at D Rank.
He would keep on constructing, he would keep on fighting and growing his Ascended Counter and attempt the third Trial to become a C Rank Ascended, and still he wouldnโt stop there.
He would keep on going right until he unlocked all his memories and filled in the blanks that were in his head and the blanks in the history of Neo-Tokara.
On this aspect, Leon felt a bit indignant. โWhy didnโt the System Recalibration affect the Memory Reconstruction function and also bring it down to C Rank?โ
That way, all he needed was 1 more Trial and he would finally access his hidden memories and understand the truth of the world.
Apart from the Chrono Replication function, System Assimilation gave him a potent weapon to finally become a force to be reckoned with in the cyber realm.
After what Purgatory did to the Federation Army plus the fact that centuries already passed since that battle, Leon had a hunch that the Federation Army would have improved on the cybersecurity deficiencies of their aerial transports and warships.
In the current era, he had a hunch that even with Purgatory, with the state of the rebel army back then, they wonโt be able to sustain a battle against the current Federation Army.
But Leon also had no doubt that since then, the rebel army had grown.
