Reborn as a Mechanist with a God-Tier System-Chapter 269: D Rank Attributes
~----~
[Attributes:]
STR – 446; AGI – 467; END – 675; INT – 718; WIL – 623; ADE – 644
[Derived Stats:]
ATK – 1427; DEF – 2025; SPD – 938; SYS – 2012
{HP – 38,210/38,210}
{EP – 36,530/36,530}
~----~
Compared to how his attributes looked as an E Rank Mechanist, now, Leon felt like a God. Or at least a demigod.
And finally, he understood why the difference between E Rank and D Rank Ascended was so insurmountable even after putting the Class Specialization difference and boons aside.
Of his 8 primary attributes, after his Class promotion, the least of them at the very least tripled and the effects were more felt in his derived stats.
Compared to at E Rank where of the Derived Stats besides HP and EP only his System Processing Power (SYS) crossed 500 stat points, now apart from his SPD Derived Stat, all the others were above 1000!
His DEF was even above 2000 now.
Leon didn’t let this get to his head though. Physically, he knew his body was far stronger than before and more durable but compared to the physical Classes, Leon knew that his DEF still could not compare because those guys had abilities that actively amplified their physicality, strength, and defense too.
Despite this, it was clear that his DEF was abnormal for Mechanists, Leon could tell that he was no longer part of the paper types of Mechanists.
This was attributed to the clear anomaly in his Primary Attributes that was the END attribute.
By comparing his END attribute with all his other attributes, with his knowledge of Ascended Classes so far, Leon was more than convinced that a D Rank Mechanist’s END attribute was not supposed to have more than 500 stat points.
And yet, his END was a staggering 675, standing as his second highest attribute out of 8.
As a Mechanist, this was crazy. Afterall, apart from INT as the main attribute, the nearest secondary attributes for Mechanists is supposed to be WIL and ADE attribute, and yet Leon’s END attribute dwarfed both.
At first, Leon was confused by this anomaly but once he calmed down and thought deeper about it, he understood why.
’Cockroach DNA’. He realized.
It was now clear that apart from the active Racial Trait that the DNA gave to him, it changed his body’s biology so much that it reflected in his Class Promotion.
Leon felt that this was also the same reason why his INT attribute settled at above a staggering 700 points despite being a newly promoted D Rank Mechanist.
Part of the reason was because as a Mechanist, INT was his main attribute but Leon also attributed it to his Rat DNA.
Afterall, to accurately perceive danger ahead of time, you have to be smart, extremely sensitive and perceptive which were all traits tied to the INT attribute.
Of all these changes to his attributes though, the one that truly set Leon apart from his previous self and told him that he was now a high-ranking Ascended in Neo-Tokara terms were his HP and MP.
Compared to at E Rank when his HP was just 8600+ while his EP was 9500+, his current HP was 38,000+ while his EP was 36,000+!
It would take more than a few attacks to kill him now even with a critical hit.
Having done experiments concerning it already, Leon confirmed that with his current HP, END attribute, and DEF stat, he could now tank a regular pistol bullet shot without taking any damage.
Of course, if this pistol was wielded by a Cyber Gladiator or a Mechanist with Enhance, he was definitely going to suffer damage but still, compared to the regular person or even Ascended in Neo-Tokara, Leon was now truly superhuman.
Apart from all these, as expected his biggest changes as a D Rank Mechanist of the Warmachine Specialization came in his Construction ability.
From his experience over the past 2 weeks, Leon was sure that his Construction ability and innate talent improved by at least 5 to 7 times and this was him being modest.
Add in the ChronoSystem’s automated Construction system and Leon had a hunch that he was close to being the most efficient Mechanist in all of Neo-Tokara.
Even while sleeping, he would be able to continue working through the automated system of the ChronoSystem to create more constructs.
His F Rank Abilities, Construction and Deconstruction were far more potent than at F and E Rank.
All his old Mechanist skills were enhanced.
Miniaturization was more potent than at E Rank, and with his expanded ADE pool as a D Rank Ascended, Leon could now easily miniaturize big and previously cumbersome targets like the Karaki CT-3X superbike.
Now, he felt like he could even miniaturize the Zerphyr-7 Stealth Reconnaissance UAV if he wanted. All he needed was a few minutes to do it.
Enhance was more potent than at E Rank, and as for his Drone Control Matrix, from the previous drone limit of 5, Leon could now control and maintain 25 drones simultaneously.
Getting used to controlling 25 different drones at the same time was disorienting at first, but now, he was beginning to get used to it.
Paired with his newly unlocked D Rank Mechanist abilities, Leon felt like he was stacked and balanced in every area.
2 weeks ago, after adapting to his promotion and checking his phone, Leon saw a lot of unread messages but one attracted his attention than all the others.
BEEP!
{NEW! Unread Message from Daren!}
["I’m now an E Rank Gene Augur (smug dark shade emoji). Heh, you better not fail, I’m waiting for you."]
Well, that message did put a smile in Leon’s face but he had no intention of leaving his shelter yet to link up with Daren.
First, as a newly promoted Mechanist, he had to construct to properly equip himself, this was why he contacted Lieutenant Johnmark.
The moment the Lieutenant heard that he succeeded and was actually now a D Rank Mechanist, he kept quiet for a long time. During that time, Leon could easily imagine him opening his mouth in shock.
After making an order for his first airdrop and receiving it, Leon started by constructing dozens of Vita7 Magnesium Nanites and Mosquito i7 3060.
He constructed at least 5 new iterations of all his existing blueprints with his current skill as a D Rank Warmachine Specialist, and only after that did he begin to tackle big construction projects.
Throughout all this time as he constructed, just like Leon feared, his Ascended Counter didn’t bulge once.
Clearly, completing the counter to meet the requirements to safely attempt his third Ascendant Trial and become a C Rank Mechanist was not going to be easy.
Maybe it was because he was yet to complete it, but he still didn’t get any Ascended Essence for the Bulwark MK.II Titan Frame.
It was only when he completed the Zerphyr-7 Stealth Reconnaissance UAV that his Ascended Counter bulged for the first time.
[Ascended Counter: 76/4000]
It seemed big for just 1 construct, but this was a project that took Leon almost 2 weeks to complete!
And based on past experience, he had a hunch that he was only going to get Ascended Essence for his very first Zerphyr-7 Stealth Reconnaissance UAV construct. The counter was likely going to take others as mere duplicates of the first construct.
’F*ck!’ Leon felt complex emotions. ’I guess the grind resumes, or should I say continue?’
