Reborn as a Weak Earthling, I Became the Most Overpowered Mage Alive-Chapter 108: Ch : Sunflower Mini-Game
"What are you doing here? Do you want to help me with my experiment? I will be more than glad to take you up on your help."
The doctor did not turn away from his experiment as he told this to the puppet who entered his lab. He had no concerns about any of his stuff beyond what he was tinkering with.
But the puppet was extra careful with the stuff around her. She did not know what she would trigger just by standing still, and she would rather not risk it either.
"I saw your announcement. Are you looking for sunflower oil? But for what reason would you need that useless thing for? We have far more powerful sources of energy, and I doubt it’s to appreciate human cuisine."
The puppet asked, her voice both cautious and curious.
The doctor just scoffed at her choice of words and gave her a patient look one usually gave a kid when they asked a stupid question.
"Of course we have a lot of ways to fuel power, but that does not mean we should stop innovating. I, for one, believe that we have limitless potential even outside the system’s boundaries. So I just want to use various ways to experiment with it and break those limits."
The more she heard the doctor speak, the more the puppet was sure that he had more than a few screws loose in that head of his. But since the doctor was staying put for now, she was not going to make him restless.
For now, she would keep an eye on the mini-challenge and make sure things did not get out of hand.
"Hmm, this reminds me-your species does not have a lot of people left, right? Since your flames do not get born but are inherited, your number remains almost the same. I wonder if I can help you with it somehow-"
"There is no need. I will not be putting my species into your grubby hands and risk them dying. Please do not approach anyone from my side. If you do, then I will be forced to make a formal complaint against you in the system."
Her words caused the doctor to frown and take a step back.
"Hmm, that would be bad. I do need the system’s resources to manage my experiments. Alright, you have my word. I will not approach your people unless they come to me first."
The puppet finally left, but her heart was heavy.
Once again, she had failed to find out what the doctor was planning. Moreover, she had failed to ask where the missing puppet had disappeared to.
’Tsk, what a hassle. This is all the doctor’s fault.’

"Are you sure this will work? What if the system wants very specific types of sunflowers and we are just giving it these ones?"
Lilianna asked as she looked at the recently grown sunflowers in front of her. The huge bunch swayed in the air, but that did nothing to calm her nerves.
"Don’t worry. If the system does not accept them, then we can try another type of sunflower. If worse comes to happen, then I guess we will have to try and earn more in the next round."
Clara told her as she harvested her first batch of sunflowers.
[One sunflower accepted. Scanning the product. Type matches.]
[One plant will be equal to one unit. One unit will earn 1 coin.]
"Looks like we won’t need to harvest a lot more if we want a good amount of money. Clara, you keep on growing them. I will keep some aside for you."
Andrew told her, and she nodded. Her ability gave her a massive advantage, and she ended up filling the newly tilled field with more sunflowers.
Within an hour, the group harvested about 50,000 sunflowers.
[The mini-game limit is up. You have submitted 10,000 sunflowers. You have been awarded 10,000 coins by the system.]
"Tsk, we did not have a lot of time to submit a good batch within an hour. Next time, let’s do even better."
Clara spoke in a tired voice. She had been using her ability for over an hour at this point, and it was beginning to take a toll on her strength.
Her eyes threatened to roll into the back of her head, but Andrew grabbed her arm before she could fall down, and she gave a nod of appreciation.
[Time is up, everyone. Thank you for your hard work. I will make sure it does not go to waste. I will see you next time when there is an opportunity for a mini-game.]
The doctor’s voice echoed from the sky before the system fell quiet once more. Everyone let out a sigh of relief as the game ended without much fanfare.
"You know, I almost prefer the doctor’s games rather than the other administrators. They are easy to play, and no one gets hurt."
Clara stretched her back as she spoke. She had liked the fact that no one had died this time.
But Andrew, Emperor, and Seraphina were suspicious rather than relieved at what happened. The fact that the system had approved of this mini-game seemed suspicious.
"Let’s head back for now. We won’t be having a mini-game for the next few days, so let’s plan our rations carefully and check if we ended up buying anything specific with our system points."
In the end, worrying about unnecessary things was not going to help, so they all went back to checking on their stuff and what else they needed.
Jenna’s group came over when it was time to eat, and then Clara took their ’help’ on the farm once more.
Things were going normally over at their side.
Of course, this peace was not to last long, and the reason behind the unrest was the Peace Organization’s current announcement.
"Looks like they are finished with the first batch of artificial soldiers. They are announcing that the first batch will be shipped out today."
