Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 106: She told him everything
Amelia sat inside the infirmary, her gaze meeting Cyrus’s before she looked down at her hands on her lap, feeling slightly embarrassed.
The vice principal explained everything that happened in the laboratory to Cyrus, who heaved a sigh.
"I got it," he said.
Fabian meticulously asked everyone to leave the infirmary, and Cyrus looked at Amelia.
There were so many things he wanted to say to her, tell her how scared he had been for some time until he knew what had happened and how his heart ached for her, but in that moment, he chose silence.
He walked and sat beside her before pulling her in for a hug.
His actions surprised Amelia a little for some time, and then she wrapped her arms around him.
The mark he carried on his neck was definitely making things hard for him now that he was torn between his heart and mind.
He closed his eyes, tightening his hold on her.
It was comforting, warm, full of tenderness and emotions, something Amelia had never felt before.
Nothing could compare to this moment with her husband. The comfort and protectiveness she felt around him were unmatched.
She rubbed her face on his chest, and the man chuckled a little before pulling back.
"Does it still hurt?" He asked.
Amelia shook her head.
Cyrus nodded.
"Now would you like to tell me what exactly happened?" He asked.
Amelia furrowed her brows.
"Didn’t the vice principal say that–" Amelia started, but Cyrus placed his finger on her lips.
"I heard that. And I know that’s not the truth. That’s a lie you cooked up so they won’t look at you with weird gazes. Now tell me the truth, Lia," Cyrus held her gaze.
Her mind told her not to speak of it, not to tell him the truth, or things would go haywire. He might hate her later and leave her, but her heart wanted to trust him.
And for some reason, she felt that telling him everything would relieve some of the burden on her heart.
Thus, rather than choosing to be those dumb heroines of most movies who keep it all inside, Amelia decided she wanted to share everything she was experiencing.
"Things are not going well," She said.
Cyrus nodded and sat patiently, giving her enough time to collect her thoughts.
Amelia sighed and told him. She didn’t tell him anything about the mark since it wasn’t something she could show, but gave a subtle hint about the burning in her wrist and those weird images that the lady made her see.
Cyrus heard everything, his expression turning from time to time at her words.
"And when I woke up, I was here,"
Once she was done, Amelia looked at Cyrus for his input.
"Do you think I am weird, or was it just an illusion?" She asked.
Cyrus shook his head.
"As much as I want to believe it was, I don’t think it was just an illusion. Someone made you see those scenes in broad daylight, and even if that lady wasn’t here physically, she did it from somewhere for sure," Cyrus mentioned.
Amelia’s gaze deepened, not because she was shocked by his words but because she didn’t think he would believe her so easily.
Her heart skipped a beat, and she looked back at her hands. She didn’t know what this feeling was. It was weird, but its warmth consumed her.
"Do you know that the scene you just described happened?" Cyrus asked.
Amelia shook her head.
Cyrus nodded.
"It happened exactly 1001 years ago. They say that the witch who was wronged, her clan has been waiting to receive justice and see the demise of the werewolves and vampires since then," Cyrus said.
Demise of vampires and werewolves? Amelia didn’t like the sound of it.
Why would that ancient lady come to her and make her see those visuals? Even after knowing that the future werewolf king was her husband?
Was this an attempt to scare her? Did all queens go through this? Or was there something special about it?
Amelia’s thoughts turned haywire, and she nipped at her nails nervously, unsure what to say or do.
She wanted to meet that ancient lady again and ask her everything.
What did she mean by making her remember things? Why did she believe that she should know about it in the first place?
What was this weird burning mark all about, and why did it keep burning whenever something bad happened or that lady touched it?
There were just so many unanswered questions.
Cyrus, on the other hand, had another set of questions.
Recently, the number of vampires in his kingdom has grown tremendously, and for some reason, they have been able to come and go without being noticed.
According to his team, they were looking for a man, and he thought these vampires probably knew something that they didn’t.
Could it be related to this thing?
"I want to read about it," Amelia said out of the blue.
"Hmm?" Cyrus snapped out of his thoughts.
"There must be some book or script about the witch, right? I want to read about her. " Amelia’s request caught him off guard, but he understood her intrigue.
"I’ll ask someone to look into it and arrange the books for the same. Let’s take you home for now. Grandma urged me to bring you back to the royal palace, but I have denied it," Cyrus said.
Amelia sighed.
She didn’t know why he was opposing the decision so strongly, and she didn’t know much about his family either.
The things she knew....well, they weren’t good to even think about.
"Do you think I have been causing a lot of trouble for you? I don’t think any student has been the kind of headache that I have become for the principal these days. He will start hating me soon," Amelia’s expression turned sad.
Cyrus narrowed his brows.
"In that case, do you want to be home-schooled?" He asked.
Amelia shook her head.
He smiled and sighed.
"No one’s going to say anything to you. I promise," Cyrus placed his finger under her chin, making her look up.
"I know what happened was tragic, but it shouldn’t take your smile off your face. That’s one thing I like about you,"
Cyrus said.
Amelia immediately grinned, showing her teeth to him.
The man chuckled at her before shaking his head.
Sylas, sitting calmly inside Cyrus’s head, had a soft smile on his face.
He didn’t remember the last time Cyrus smiled that freely because of anything or anyone, but from the moment Amelia entered their lives, he has been acting more humane, more like someone who could feel, too.
This alone outranked Amelia at the highest tier to receive his respect, and nothing was going to change that.
From day one, he has felt this.
And even though he could feel that Amelia wasn’t as simple as she made it seem, he never said anything about it to Cyrus because he didn’t want him to start interrogating her and push her away.
Whatever she was hiding, whatever was troubling her apart from this dream and everything, he believed that she would tell them when she was comfortable.
As they walked outside of the University with Amelia again in Cyrus’s arms because her foot got injured, Kyle sighed, watching the duo from the farthest tree.
"They do make a good couple. But how do I intervene and make a space for myself in her heart?" Kyle pouted. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Stone, who had been watching his boss for some time and noticing that he had been observing Amelia and Cyrus for some time, nodded in understanding.
His boss was impeccable. He didn’t even know he would get a task targeting Amelia, even though he had been observing her for so long.
Their boss was so dedicated to his work that it was all for them.
His eyes teared and he sniffed like a baby.
Kyle, who heard the weird sound, turned in the direction and saw his subordinate.
He looked at the duo one last time before jumping from the tree and walking to Stone.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Sir, you are amazing. You are so dedicated to your team and to us that it makes me tear up every time I see you working so hard for us," Stone wiped his tears.
Kyle raised his brows.
Was it just him, or was his friend too emotional?
And what did he even do?
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"Nothing. You are risking so much and have been observing Amelia and Cyrus for so long. I am sure you are the one who hinted to Dominic to reach out to us with that atrocious amount because you knew he would agree. You are so sharp and meticulous. I wish I could have even 10% of your intelligence," Stone sniffed.
Kyle could see his subordinate misunderstood his intentions, but was in no mood to correct him.
"Hmm, you are indeed not so intelligent," Kyle muttered before leaving.
"But I am willing to improve, sir. You must keep guiding me," Stone said, rushing behind Kyle.
