Reborn ghost seeing lady is pampered by her ex husband-Chapter 579: Home sweet home
Blood drained from their faces as they turned as white as that of Obed. Some wanted to say something, but their throats sealed shut, no word came out for three breaths.
The Saxon spirit couldn't help thinking that it was no wonder she was smelling something damp and sour, demons had a hand in this.
"This....this is why I fucking hate you Obed. We asked for important information and your tiny dead brain could not come up with...demons!!" Maureen attempted to slap him but again, she slapped the air.
"Pheebs, slap him." She commanded.
"I would be happy to but that is not going to get us anywhere. What the hell do you mean by that Obed, what demon?" Phoebe's chest heaved, anger that she was suppressing wanted to escape and explode all over Obed. Even after she had asked him to.be transparent with her, the fool had chosen to keep important facts to himself.
Didn't he know that hunters needed to make preparations sometimes before facing off against a demon? Had the word grand guardian made him think Phoebe was invincible?
The spirit continued to roam its eyes around suspiciously. "There is black magic being practiced here, I will canvass the area and find out what is going on but for now get him to talk. Rip him apart if you must because this is now bigger than him and his brides." It vanished.
Before they could grill Obed for answers, a young man stormed towards them. "Ha! The nerve of you showing up here! You damned dark outcast witch bitch. Get off our property." He fixed her with a hard and condescending look.
Obed quickly apologized. "Sorry, Wesley got the most whips because he always came a position below you in the exams. No matter how good he is, he can never beat you."
"Look who is calling whom dark witch. You are creepy looser that sucks at magic and can't get it up according to whispers at school." Rekha backed in response.
Grandma Mayfair's eyes widened. What whispers? Why had they not made their way out of the school and into her ears? It seemed she needed to join the academy too for the drama. For now, she silenced them both before more insults came out.
"Wesley Montgomery, I see that you have no respect for elders anymore. The first thing you should have done is greet us politely before vomiting filth. For your information, Rekha is my companion, you can go ahead and report to Morgan if you like." Her eyes strongly disapproved of his behavior. "Let us go." She ordered.
Darting forward, Wesley blocked their way after they had taken two steps. "Oh no you don't, you can all go ahead but this dark witch stays here, bad things happen wherever she goes that is why grandmother tossed her away. I would advise you all to stay away from her or else you could die mysteriously like her parents did." He uttered the words thoughtless.
Rekha laughed coldly, then out of nowhere she delivered a stinging slap to his face. "Shut your stinking mouth you creep! Don't you ever talk about my parents or I will string you up on a tree and bleed you dry like a cow." She bellowed.
With wide incensed eyes that promised vengeance, Wesley's hand flew to his scorched cheek. "You fucking whore, you dare to slap me."
Rekha delivered a back hand that slapped Wesley's mouth directly. "Talk again and I swear I will use a knife to give you a permanent smile."
Maureen was very quick in bringing out that knife. Everyone else was astonished, old lady Mayfair pushed Maureen's hand back.
Wesley backed away, seething and yet afraid because Maureen was a loose cannon that he could not dare to entangle. "I will go and tell grandmother!" He gestured at the guards to watch them before marching off angrily. He did not have to go far because a commanding female figure walked towards them.
"Uh-oh, i do not think that we will be staying here for long, we better devise a way to quickly get to that body, save those women and kill the demon if it is here." Maureen spoke in a low voice, her eyes pinned on the matriarch of the Montgomery family who was already heading their way.
"How did she get here so fast?" Old lady Mayfair hissed.
"She must have started moving as soon as she heard that Rekha is here." Maureen said.
Andre leaned towards her and added, "Us too, don't forget that the Montgomery's are not our biggest fans."

Morgan was an old woman approaching her late eighties, but she still appeared strong and healthy. Her walking speed was incredible; she was on them within seconds. Her serious gaze remained fixed on Rekha the entire time.
"Morgan." Grandma Mayfair said the name in a flat voice.
"Rebecca Mayfair, at your age you should know that it is rude to bring an unwanted guest to someone else's house. I invited the Mayfair's in only or are your eyes failing you that you cannot read well anymore?" Her tone was silky, but her words dripped with disdain.
[How can I tell Nana to buy us time!] Phoebe thought, her body shook nervously.
"My eyes are just fine; they know how to pick precious pearls from dull stones. "Old lady Mayfair replied with a stiff smile.
Morgan Montgomery's fake smile froze. She could understand the meaning; Rekha was a precious pearl and the other Montgomery grandchildren like Wesley were dull stones.
Tension boiled beneath the surface; everyone could sense it.
"I will repeat myself; I only invited Mayfair's." Morgan said coldly.
"Allow me to introduce you to my granddaughters officially. Phoebe and Rekha Mayfair, my son added her to our family register a while ago. Do you want to keep talking here or do you want to talk somewhere private. I am not afraid to make a scene; you will make headlines if you chase us away." Grandma Mayfair politely replied.
Capturing the moment with her phone, Maureen laughed derisively. "Think of headlines like; The Montgomery abandoned child returns home only to be slapped in the face by a wicked grandmother. After years in the wilderness Bernard Montgomery's daughter comes home to an empty trust fund, what really happened to his money?
Mirror mirror in the wall, who is the fairest abandoned Montgomery of them all the outcast or the jealous grandmother? Behind Obed and Bernard Montgomery's mysterious deaths, did an old woman sacrifice them for youth? I can go on and on and trust me, everything will be ridiculous but aimed at you." She accompanied her words with a little dance.
Morgan's breathing increased, her frown lines deepened.."You...you...."
"We own the founding lane gossip mill bitch and we will use it to make you a laughingstock." Maureen whispered to Morgan.
"Perhaps I should give the Daily Citrus news and exclusive and tell them all about how I was thrown out as a child and denied admission to that college you own." Rekha scoffed the words out.
Morgan was like a volcano on the brink, her control slipping. The last thing she wanted was for what had happened over twenty years ago or stories about Rekha to reach the news. She also needed to know how the little bitch knew about the college.
"Follow me." she gritted her teeth and surrendered.
