Chapter 1127: Vitamin Alix

Jin wheeled the bags in her room the next day and stopped. His expression was sulking the entire time he was driving and now as he was dragging his feet to her room. He was walking so deathly slowly that even Ren Cuifen was concerned.

"Are you feeling sick, dear?"

He had tried his best to smile. "I’m fine, Aunt."

Mui squinted her eyes. "Don’t tell me you are already missing sis? Seriously? It’s just one week!"

He glared. "It’s ONE week, not ’just’ one week, okay!"

She rolled her eyes.

At present, Jin’s hand was still on the bag’s handle, refusing to let it go.

Alix folded her arms. "What are you so concerned about? One week will pass by in a jiffy."

A look of hurt flashed across his eyes. "You mean to say that you won’t miss me? I’ll already die the moment I step out of this room!"

"That’s extreme. Don’t die. Who would be the groom then?"

He gasped. "It really doesn’t look like you will miss me at all!"

She blinked twice. "It’s only a week. Plus, we will be talking and chatting online. It’s not like we have to cut off all communication too. We just cannot meet, that’s all."

He pursed his lips. "Being physically able to see and hug the person is different from just online chatting and talking...Who will I hug while sleeping now?"

"The cats."

"Well they are there, yes, but I want to hug you!"

"Not possible for a week."

His brow twitched. "So cold and calculated! I wi fall sick with the lack of you!"

He turned his head, flaring his nostrils with a puff of anger.

Alix was only more and more amused with his reactions. "Is it really so difficult to spend a week without me? Well, half of the time, you’ll be in office anyway."

He mumbled. "I miss you at work too..."

"How about we video chat?"

"That was included in the talking and chatting part."

"There’s nothing more I can do."

"You can."

"What?"

He brightened and placed his phone in her hand. "Talk to Mom and convince her to let me stay the night here!"

"What makes you think she will believe me?"

"Aren’t you so convincing?" He pouted. "She will definitely believe you over me!"

She smiled. "Sure, let’s see that."

Alix dialed the number and let it ring.

"Jin!" Nana picked up the second ring and happily chirped. "Did you two safely reach her home? She is all settled, right?"

Alix cleared her throat. "It’s me."

"Oh, Alix! Great. Did you reach home?"

"Yes, just a few minutes back. But...t-there is a problem."

Jin nodded hard and urged her to continue with a thumbs up.

"Oh no, what happened?" Her voice was laced with concern.

"Jin slipped over the stairs while wheeling the bags up and twisted his ankle. It’s quite bad swelling."

"Oh."

"He is unable to move."

Jin’s eyes sparkled with hope.

"I see."

"Mom is insisting for him to stay the night here. He is badly hurt."

A pause later, Nana said, "Oh Mrs. Ren doesn’t have to worry about it, dear. I will send one of his brothers to pick him up."

Jin - "..."

"Don’t worry, he won’t have to drive back home with such an injury. Oh maybe I should send two of them to be able to support him. Either way, they will handle it. Also, Jin."

He stiffened upon her sharp voice directly targeting him like an arrow striking its target.

"There better be a very ’bad swelling’ on your ankle. If I don’t find one, you are dead."

"..." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

A chill passed through his back and he gulped down his saliva.

"I..." he hoarsely said, "I think I a-already feel a lot better now, Mom..."

"Oh really? Are you able to walk?"

"G-Guess so."

"Perfect!" Her voice turned chirpy again. "So don’t waste more time and come back home. We have lots of things to do! Alix, take care and don’t hesitate to call me for anything!"

"Yes."

They hung up and Jin immediately burst into tears.

"The plan failed!"

Alix grimaced. "Why did you think you would be able to fool her in the first place? She knows you in and out, perhaps because she knows her husband in and out."

"Maybe I should really fall off the stairs and have a real swelling on my ankle-"

"Don’t be an idiot. Now, you should leave."

"Why are you sending me back so soon!" He cried.

"Coz I have to unpack."

He beamed. "I’ll help you!"

She smiled. "I have Mui to help me. I’m seeing her eating chips and procrastinating anyway. Better use those hands and legs for some real work."

"You can use my hands and legs for...some ’other’ kind of work if you need to," he grinned.

Alix understood his implication and stood closer to him, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"That ’other’ kind of work is reserved for the wedding night now. So your hands and legs better do a fantastic job then."

Jin placed his thumb at the corner of her lips, gently pressing it with a clouded gaze filled with desire.

"I promise I won’t disappoint you," he whispered breathily.

He leaned in for a kiss, first with a light tickle that playfully grazed his tongue over hers and then came his lips, hard and fast and deep. It covered every inch hungrily as if he was satiating the whole week’s quota that he would have to live without her warmth and touch. His tongue met hers, sliding and gliding as he released short bursts of low, pleasurable moans. He softly pushed her back against the wall, trailing his heated kisses from her chin to her beautiful neckline.

Alix breathed out shakily, clutching the back of his hair as his teeth bit her under the earlobe. When his hand slid inside her dress and reached her left breast that he gave a gentle squeeze with his palm, she said,

"Yeah, that ’other’ kind of work reserved for the wedding night I talked about? How about we start that noble thought process after I put your hands and legs to some good use now?"

A mischievous smile played his lips as he pecked the tip of her nose.

"I thought you wouldn’t ask."
