Reborn: The Return of the Villainous Mr. Liu-Chapter 1126: Sadistic pleasure
Jin collapsed back on the chair with an angry puff. He and Alix were finally done with whatever was required of them in regards to ’pleasing God’s dissatisfaction.’
"You are fuming," Alix said, unwrapping a chocolate bar.
His lips pressed into a thin line. He wasn’t sure how to explain it to her. Though she was aware of his reborn deal with the Gods, she didn’t know that Jin had also met two of the Gods in his lifetime - one of them disguised as the Feng Shui master today.
What else should I do if not fume! That damn God was just not letting it go!
’Hey, hey, deeper. Deeper. Bow your head more. What’s this insincerity am I seeing, huh? Touch your forehead all the way to the floor, brat.’
Jin had gnashed his teeth.
’Control your temper, young lad. You are ruining the temple’s calm and serene atmosphere. You are scaring off the other devotees, you know?"
At present, he tried to control his innermost desire to murder someone and looked at Alix. He blinked.
"That’s your third chocolate bar. Did you always like chocolates that much?"
Her expression twisted into a scowl. She wasn’t sure how to explain that conversation she had with the Gods to Jin.
’Hey as a dutiful God, I don’t show gender biases. So your forehead should stick all the way to the floor just like your husband’s.’
’Also how could you be stinky with the money? I’m expecting you two to be more generous, okay?’
’And more parfaits and puddings.’
At present, her tight grip almost broke the chocolate bar in half.
I should have poisoned those damn sweets.
The only way to calm her seething anger towards the God who was taking a sadistic pleasure in torturing them, was Alix thought to eat something sweet or she would explode.
"Just in the mood."
He hugged her from the back and rested his chin on her shoulder with a dropped and defeated expression.
"I’m tired..."
She glanced at him. From the mind conversation, she understood that that annoying higher entity was talking to Jin in his mind just like her. It was why she surmised he looked bubbling red like a volcano about to burst during the betrothal.
"What’s wrong?"
"I was bullied..."
If it had been some other time, then Alix would have scoffed it off by the mere impossibility of such an event even occurring but not today. She offered him the bar of chocolate.
"Munch on a piece."
Jin tipped his head. "You won’t ask who?"
She stared at him with a strange understanding in her eyes that he felt heard.
"I can guess who."
He paused and weighed her words. "You..."
Her eyes squinted. "You..."
He gasped. "Have you met him before? Was he talking to you too?"
"He almost forced my old villainous spirit to come back."
"I knew it!" His nostrils flared. "I mean I felt your mood shift after that fortune teller arrived. I was just wondering if...I didn’t expect it to be true."
Jin knew that the world would call him crazy for babbling about a God talking to him in his mind but he was genuinely glad to be able to share it with Alix who shared his sentiments.
"He is annoying, isn’t he?" He mumbled.
She forced him to bite on a piece of chocolate. "Very much so. The wedding date got finally fixed though."
"Only because of his sadistic unreasonable demands to please him," he grimaced.
"He wants more parfaits and puddings."
His gaze darkened. "How much does he want to eat? Oh my God, is everybody around us just a hungry bunch of idiots? As if those four aren’t enough!"
She raised her brow looking at his red puffed up cheeks and pinched them.
He is cute when he is angry.
Why do I feel I understand why the twins annoy him so much?
"Somehow...I’m not liking your gaze," he frowned. "Just to remind you, you should be at my side, okay?"
"What if the other side is more fun?"
"The other side is already crowded with lots of people! You...you cannot join that sinful side!"
She smiled. "How about you bribe me?"
He cleared his throat. "Should I offer my body to express my sincerity?"
She tiptoed to his earside and whispered. "Yeah that sounds more like it."
A shiver escaped his back and his gaze clouded with the ticklish warmth of her breath. His fingers dug into the back of her head, pulling it towards him for her lips to meet his.
Amidst their long and seemingly endless kiss, a knock was heard on the door. He was very close to shedding that dress off her body and make a lovely mess of it with his kisses when his head dropped in disappointment.
"Jin, can we come in?"
If it was anybody from among the quadruple gang, he would have killed them on the spot but it was Nana and Liu Chunhua.
"Go. Don’t make them wait."
He let them in and smiled. "Mom, Grandma, what’s up?"
"We are here to check if Alix is all ready with her bags," Nana asked.
"Bags?" He blinked twice. "What bags?"
Liu Chunhua said, "To move back to her parents house, what else?"
"Huh?"
"What are you looking so shocked for? The bride and groom live separately until the wedding. Then during the wedding day, the groom brings the procession to her house and brings her to his house."
His jaw dropped dumbfounded. "S-So she has to move back and live in her house for a whole week?"
They nodded.
"That’s not fair! Okay then I will move with her-"
Nana smacked on his head. "What’s the point of living separately then?"
"I don’t want to live separately!"
"It’s how the tradition is. Don’t be difficult," she harrumphed.
Jin deflated like a balloon losing its air. He assumed everything will be managed from the Liu villa itself so this news dropped to him as a massive shock.
"Mom...one week is too much..." he held her hands and acted cute.
Her brow twitched. "You exhibit your father’s genes when it’s convenient to you, huh?"
"Same like Hai," she glared. "But no means no, and no acting cute. So help your wife with her packing and tomorrow, you will drop her home."
