Regression - Second Chance At Life-Chapter 255: Adam’s Flaws
Isla lies there, resting her head on Adam’s chest, wondering what these flaws are that Adam says he has.
From everything she has seen of Adam so far, everything looks perfect. Adam looks perfect.
He is rich yet humble, and he has a menial job as a waiter. He didn’t even mention to her about him being rich until she asked him about it when she got in his car. He is extremely good-looking but doesn’t brag about it or make it his entire personality.
His humbleness doesn’t just end there; he is good at playing music, but doesn’t boast about how he literally has everything he needs to be the best musician in the world.
And last but not least, he is an animal in bed. She has never been fucked like this ever before. Every second of Adam and her being one has been a transcendental feeling.
She knows that if they continue to fuck, she will be beyond addicted to his cock.
Adam is literally the perfect man in her eyes, and she wants him to be one.
So, these flaws that Adam mentions don’t sit right with her. What if she doesn’t like them, and it would end up ruining this perfect partner image she has of Adam? Will she be able to look past it and continue seeing Adam in the same light she sees him right now?
It’s a scary thought for her because she can either continue living in her delusion and keep seeing Adam in the light she wants to see while ignoring the supposed flaws that he has, or confront it and figure out for herself if she is willing to look past them and continue to love Adam for who he is.
She presses her lips in frustration while staring into his eyes, wondering if she should ask him about it or not. She also wonders if Adam will be truthful about it to her. He could basically lie to her face, and she won’t know.
The more she thinks about it, the more it starts to eat her up from the inside, until she can no longer hold it back.
She is as curious as a cat.
"What are these supposed flaws of yours?" Isla asks.
She had to ask. Deep inside, she has almost made the decision to dedicate her life to this man, and she wants to know if the man she has fallen in love with is who he thinks he is.
"Are you sure?" Adam asks with a teasing smile.
Isla nervously presses her lips together and nods her head.
"Okay, fine, let’s start listing some of my flaws.
First and foremost, I am arrogant. You might not have seen me show arrogance, but I am. I do think I am better at many things than most people.
Second, I might be a narcissist. I really like how I look.
Third, I have a vengeful person. If someone wrongs me, I will do anything in my power to get back at them.
Fourth, I am a control freak. I always like being in control. I hate losing it. I don’t ever want to leave myself vulnerable to chances.
Fifth, I am not a very trusting person unless I am certain that I have complete control over certain individuals. Winning my trust is one of the hardest things one can do.
Sixth, I am very promiscuous. I have multiple lovers and will continue to have multiple lovers. I won’t change it for anyone, no matter how special the girl is.
Seventh, I am possessive of my lovers. I don’t like sharing. Once someone’s mine, they are mine forever.
Eight, I am a hypocrite, because I don’t give my lovers what I expect from them, their absolute loyalty,"
As Adam lists his flaws, he continues to stare into Isla’s eyes, trying to get a read of her emotions, but she does a very good job at keeping a poker face.
"So you tell me, now that you know who I am. An arrogant, control freak, promiscuous, and hypocritical man, are you still interested in being my girl? Because if you do. You are no longer allowed to have any romantic relationships with other men, whether it’s emotional or physical, while I will still be going around flirting and fucking other girls. So ask yourself, are you okay with it?" Adam asks and goes silent.
Adam is the man he is today because of the things he had to live through, so he is not someone who is going to beat around to bush or lie to keep a girl in his life.
He would rather have the girl know the person he really is than have her later find out who he is from someone else.
The girl can be the most beautiful woman in the world, but if she becomes an anchor that holds him down into being someone he is not, he will leave her.
So, he is giving Isla the option to choose. She can be one of his many happy lovers, or she can walk away from him, and he won’t be bothered by it one bit.
Isla continues to stare into Adam’s eyes with a complicated gaze. She has a lot on her mind right now, especially after everything Adam just pointed out about himself.
And when she thinks about it, it does make sense. On the surface, Adam is the perfect guy, but she has enough experience to know that nobody is perfect, and that’s why she doubted Adam in the first place, for being too good to be true.
And she turned out to be right. Adam’s not perfect. He has his flaws, some of which are very glaring to ignore. In fact, some of them are huge deal breakers to most women.
The question is, is Isla one of them? Are Adam’s flaws a deal breaker? She has to ask herself.
’Will I be fine being just another girl in his life?’ she wonders while staring into his striking, dreamy eyes, eyes that she loses herself in if she isn’t careful.
The way he is holding her right now, his warmth making her feel safe in his strong embrace, his gentle but confident gaze. Everything about Adam makes her feel weak, but the question remains.
"Isla... This is who I am. I might be handsome, strong, and smart, but I also have a lot of flaws, and I am not delusional about it. No one owes me anything, and I don’t expect things from other people.
The girls in my life know who I am, and they are fine with it, and if they are not, they can walk away, and I won’t be bothered.
It’s the same for you as well. If you don’t like the person you are looking at right now, you can walk away, no hard feelings.
But remember this, I won’t change for anything. This is who I am, and this is who I will always be at my core," Adam says, with a firm and serious tone.
Isla continues to stare at Adam, feeling conflicted.
This is the first time someone has been so truthful with her about themselves. All her life, people have lied to her to get close to her while trying to portray themselves as someone better than what they are.
But Adam’s different, even though he is so much better than every man she has ever been with; he instead put himself down and was completely honest with her about the man he is.
This is something she is not used to.
He is even giving her the opportunity to walk away and treat this night as just the best one-night stand of her life.
But does she want this to be a one-night stand? No... Isla wants more.
She finally opens her mouth to ask something.
"Do you want me to stay?" She asks.
Adam has given her the truth; he has told her who he really is, but he didn’t tell her if he wants her or not. This is the most important question to her, and Adam’s answer will make or break their relationship.
"Of course, I want you. You are beautiful, you are amazing to be around, and you aren’t with me for my money. That immediately puts you on top of my list. I want to see where this can go, but then again, our relationship won’t be a normal one. Something most women won’t be happy with," Adam says.
"I am not most women..." Isla says, blushing.
Adam smiles, hearing Isla’s answer. She indeed is not like most women, because most women won’t be okay with the blatant hypocrisy of Adam.
That’s why Adam’s choice of women is limited to broken women who are either vain in nature, promiscuous, or have daddy issues. Well, they are just his time, so he doesn’t mind it.
Isla, too, is one of them, crazy.
"That’s good to hear..." Adam says, leaning in and kissing her, sealing their relationship.
Isla closes her eyes and reciprocates as their tongues begin to engage in a wet, twirling dance.
She gets on top of him and begins kissing him harder until she runs out of breath.
As she pulls away, with eyes filled with lust, Isla has one last question.
"You mentioned that I cannot have any romantic relationships with other men... I am fine with that... But what about women?" Isla asks. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Adam’s eyes flash with surprise as this is an unexpected development.
"That I do not mind," Adam says, grinning while Isla bites her lower lip, aroused by the idea of sharing Adam with other women.
