Regressor's Harem Of Vengeance-Chapter 62. Ray Is Now A Daddy?
The next day, Ray woke up in silence.
He looked around and noticed he was currently in his bedroom but everywhere was quiet.
He glanced out the window and noticed how bright the day had been.
In fact, the sun was so high up in the sky, it was already mid-day.
"Just how long was I asleep?" He muttered to himself as he slowly sat up.
Then he quickly took a look at his body to notice that his ribs still hurt just like they did yesterday.
Actually, it was hurting a lot less than it did yesterday and that was thanks to his Minor Regeneration skill helping him to slowly heal his wounds and broken bones.
Ray glanced over to check out the scratches and bruises he had on other parts of his body, but each one of them had been healed completely.
Even the burns on his forearm were now smooth like a new skin but it was still slightly pink.
And as for the cut above his eye, it had been healed completely as well.
Ray placed his fingers carefully along his ribcage, then he stood up from his bed gently.
His eyes took notice of the two wyvern eggs in the corner of his room and they were tucked safely in where he’d left them yesterday.
Ray stood in front of the two eggs, then he placed his hands gently on them.
Ray could feel the rock solid texture of the two obsidian scaled eggs but strangely enough, Ray could also feel the two life breathing within the eggs.
’Could this be due to the wyvern energy skill?’ He wondered as he felt the two eggs slowly pulling the invisible force of energy from him, almost as though they were feasting on it, and Ray could feel them draining his mana as well.
He felt like pulling his hands back but Ray thought against doing this because the more the two young wyverns absorbed the wyvern energy from him, the more he could feel how small, fragile and vulnerable they were. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
It almost felt like he could see through the eggs to see the two little wyverns begging him to feed them because they were hungry.
"Huh?" Ray gasped as he suddenly realized something very important.
"Wait a minute. Does this mean I’m like a Daddy to these two?" Ray lowered his gaze softly as he glanced at the two Wyverns.
The prospect of becoming a dad to two dangerous beasts felt exciting in a way and Ray wondered if taking this path was truly the right choice for him.
"To be honest, I don’t know."
"But I really like the idea of having you two with me." He said to the two large eggs as though they could understand what he was saying.
He felt a bit sad for what he did to their mother but Ray was more than prepared to take care of them starting from now.
After all, these two could be really important in playing vital roles in his path for vengeance.
"Then again.... I could maybe leave one of them here to help...." Ray paused mid thought.
"Oh well, I’ll think about it later. For now, let’s have you two really fed, okay?." He noted mentally as he acknowledged the fact that even beast-tamers do not get to raise Wyverns the way he was currently doing.
"Yep, I’m definitely going to be a great dad to you two." Ray jested in his mind before realizing the two Wyverns had stopped absorbing his Wyvern energy.
"Hmm, I wonder if you two are already full." He mulled but concluded that had to be the only reasonable outcome right now, so he slowly stepped out of his room to see Helen in the kitchen.
Right now, his mother was stirring a broth as the kitchen got filled with the sweet aroma of her delicious meal and the vegetables and meats mixed in that pot.
"Hmmm..... I smell something delicious mom!" Ray happily announced as he skipped into the kitchen like a cute little boy.
His mom couldn’t help but chuckle softly as it made her reminisce seeing this a couple of times in the past while Ray was growing up.
"Hey, heavy sleeper. You’re awake. Did you have a really good nap?"
"Yeah. It was the best."
"Well, you deserve it. That’s for sure. Now come and eat. Mom made something extra special for you today." Helen pointed to a spot on the dinner table she had reserved for him.
Ray smiled and nodded as he took his seat to see a myriad of delicacies made just for him.
"Um, mom? Isn’t this a bit too much for me? Where’s everybody else?"
"Mira and Emma are currently outside playing or chatting with their friends right now."
"So, you really want me to eat all these alone?"
"Yup." Helen arrived and served his meal on a dish before shifting it close to him. "Everyone in the village sent food, fruits and grains to us this morning. They were really impressed and grateful for what you did for them yesterday. You’re like Thornsville very own hero now. Well, you and Mira of course."
"Well, this is a bit too much and I didn’t defeat those monsters because I wanted to be a hero."
"But it’s what you’ve always wanted to be." Helen uttered as she sat across from him, eating her own meal while she watched him eating his.
"Nah, I just want really want to spend time with my family more. Remember what dad always said?"
"Yeah, I know. He always said..." Helen paused as she placed her wooden spoon down and began to mimic her late husband’s masculine voice. "Listen son, Most times, people don’t know the value of what they have until it’s gone. The worth of things are always recognized when it’s lost. So, don’t take what you have for granted, cause you never know when they won’t be there anymore." Helen placed her hands on her hips and puffed out her chest as she nodded to herself for making a really good impression of her late husband.
Ray smiled and nodded in response. "Exactly, and that’s why I really want to spend as much time as I can with you and Emma."
Helen smiled warmly and placed a hand over the table to touch his. "It’s fine dear. I know you’ve always dreamed of joining the elite warrior’s party and going out on cool adventures and to be honest, just like every other mother, I’ve been scared of what might happen to you if you followed your dream but after witnessing and hearing what you did last night. I’ve decided to give you my full support and I know Emma will be happy to know you’re out there doing what you like and love. Besides, I’m even more happy to know that Mira would be by your side always. Just try to tune down the sex every now and then, okay dear?"
