Regressor's Harem Of Vengeance-Chapter 63. A Nice Chat With Helen And Emma.
"Pfft....." Ray nearly spat out the water he was drinking. "Mom?!....We haven’t even done the deed in like a week or two now."
"I know dear but I feel like you guys are holding back because you don’t want to keep your sister and I awake at night. So, I’m just saying you should be mindful of any inn you’ll be lodging in the future, okay?"
"Don’t worry mom. Maybe we’ll get a really big house for ourselves, then I’ll invite you and Emma to come live with us cause I would really like for you to experience living in a big city one day."
Helen smiled warmly and nodded in response.
She didn’t really say anything but she was really pleased and happy to hear Ray say such words.
She’d always had the dream of living in the city once, but that dream had died along with a couple of other dreams in the past as life slapped some reality check on her during her youth, while growing up.
But now, Ray had given her something to look forward to and she couldn’t help but feel proud for giving birth to a really good son like Ray.
The two stayed quiet for awhile as they resumed eating their meal, until Helen broke that silence.
"You know, your sister has been trying to enter your room all morning."
"Oh really? And why’s that?"
"She was wondering if those two eggs belonged to the wyvern or not." Helen had a hunch the eggs belonged to the wyvern but a part of her also wondered if they belonged to a different beast entirely.
However, the thought had been troubling her all day, so she thought it would be better to ask Ray instead.
"Well, they do."
"But isn’t it dangerous to think of keeping them here in our house and in the village?"
"Well, yeah. They can be dangerous in the right hands if you think about it."
"What do you mean?"
"Let’s say a monster tide appears in the near future when we least expect it to. At the very least, no one in the village, including us, would have anything to be worried about because we’ll now have two deadly Wyverns capable of roasting these monsters before they even step foot into our village."
Helen nodded slowly in understanding. "You do have a point dear, but do you know what these creatures eat? They’re Wyverns, so won’t they eat our farm animals when they’re all grown up? Or worse, they could turn to us if they feel we’ll be more than enough to sustain their appetite. Oh my goodness. I just spooked myself out right now. That’s it, those eggs are definitely dangerous."
Ray laughed and tried to calm his mother down. "Relax mom. You do know that tamed wyverns are only able to be tamed because of imprinting right?"
"Yes, I do."
"So, that’s exactly what we’ll do. We’ll imprint with these two little wyverns once they’re hatched and you wont have to worry about them eating anyone. Well, anyone aside from us could definitely become their dinner, so that’ll be a different topic entirely. So if anyone knows what’s good for them, they’ll stay out of the idea of angering my family because if my mother gets mad and points her hands on her enemies, she’ll have two large wyverns behind her, burning all of her enemies with just one single trigger word "Dracaris"."
"Oh stop it dear, you’re making Mommy feel happy about keeping these two eggs." Helen chuckled softly with a slight blush as she imagined herself as a dragon or more accurately, a wyvern master, ordering her two wyverns to obey her every command.
"Hehehe ~ that’s the point mom."
"Silly boy. Eat your food. That’s enough teasing for one day."
Ray smiled and resumed eating his meal.
His mom refilled his bowl and he ate every meal in front of him with nothing but pure satisfaction.
Twenty minutes after eating lunch, Emma approached Ray in the yard.
She walked around the side of the house and she saw her big brother sitting on something while seemingly thinking deeply about something else.
Well, since Emma was simply too young to be bothered about what he had been thinking about, the little girl instead, eagerly called out to her big brother.
"Big brother!! You won’t believe what everyone is saying about you in the village." Emma dashed straight to her brother, before taking a seat right next to him with her eyes sparkling with excitement, pride and respect for what Ray had done overnight.
"Okay, so what’s everyone saying about me?"
"They said you ran and jumped really high in the sky with your swords above your head to slash the large wyvern into two. That’s so cool and amazing!!! I can’t stop thinking about it. I heard some bards will be coming over to make a song about what you and big sister Mira did yesterday. You guys are going to be famous." Ray listened attentively but his smile slowly turned into a frown after listening to what his sister said.
Emma noticed this and her expression turned into that of concern. "Big brother? What’s wrong? I thought you would be happy to hear about this?"
"How can I be happy when the bards are only going to be singing about me and Mira alone."
"Do you want them to sing about someone else too?" Emma lifted her head up cutely, looking at her big brother with her cute puppy dog eyes as she tried to understand who her big brother was so worried about, all because the bards won’t be singing about him or her.
"Yes, I do."
"Who?"
"Who else silly? I won’t welcome those bards into our village unless they agree to sing about my cute little chipmunk who will definitely be even more popular than me in the future."
"Hehehe~ big brother is the best."
"I know."
"Don’t worry, we’ll let the bards sing about the three of us together, with Mom too, agreed?"
"Agreed."
The little girl smiled even more before wrapping her arms around Ray, feeling glad that nothing had happened to him while he was busy fighting monsters last night.
