Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 542: Anti
A few moments earlier.
Thousands of escape pods fell through the stormy clouds of the mysterious planet.
Kael and his consorts held on within one of the escape pods.
Suddenly, within the darkness of the escape pod’s interior, Kael’s eyes shone brightly as Jin’s memories automatically rose up in his mind.
"Everyone, get ready, the world won’t let the escape pods pass through!" Kael said in the group chat that they had set up before the operation.
Almost at the same time, the sound of raging thunder and lightning resounded across the sky.
*BOOM!*
One escape pod was struck clean by one of the swift purple lightning strikes. The world went white for a brief period before returning to its normal colour.
When the flash was gone, all that was left was a falling lion king.
The lion king, having been prepared by the group chat, reacted fast and didn’t act surprised. He summoned hordes of needles and refined metal plates to form a sphere around him while he dived straight down.
*BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!*
Terrifying purple lightning as thick as trees struck from all angles, leaving blinding white flashes that pierced the clouds and created dazzling spectacles.
Different lion kings witnessed their escape pods decimated by the lightning strikes but didn’t stop to ponder what was going on.
Kael’s escape pod was also destroyed by one of the fierce lightning strikes. He didn’t panic.
All his consorts generated their individual powers to protect themselves and others. Katari alone provided an added layer of defence for all of them by surrounding them with an unnoticeable layer of distorted space.
Kael protected himself. Two golden wings sprouted out from behind him while rings of fire burst out from his paws.
His eyes were focused on the seemingly endless stormy cloud he dived forth.
Thousands of lion kings rained down from the sky for a few seconds. Then finally, the first lion king broke out of the stormy cloud and got a view of the actual landscape of the planet.
Like colorful meteors, more and more lion kings rained from the sky.
Kael’s eyes narrowed when the cloud fog cleared and he could see the land.
He did not expect this at all.
"No fucking way!" Ozia exclaimed.
The reason he exclaimed was that they had seen a vast barren land as soon as they came out of the stormy clouds.
However, a few seconds later, the whole world flipped over and changed to a hilly plain with vibrant green grass everywhere.
The transformation was so sudden and unexpected, it was otherworldly.
It was like a chunk of the land just flipped over while separating and rearranging itself at the same time.
*BOOM!*
*BOOM!*
BOOM!*
...
The lion kings crashed to the ground one by one, creating large craters and causing mini earthquakes.
Some of them were able to slow their descent pretty quickly using wrap effects or their natural powers.
Others were not so lucky and smashed their bodies into the dirt.
Thankfully, all of them besides Kael’s consorts were at least tier 6 with Memphis being tier 7.
With someone like Memphis on their side, many of them could relax better but they were still vigilant. On an unknown battlefield such as this one, slight comfort could spell death.
"We’re the first to get here, that fireman we should get comfortable!" Kael warned through the group chat.
They had unanimously agreed to just communicate through the group chat since it was faster and less noisy.
They wanted to complete this operation as fast as possible and get out of here, maybe hopefully kill Ma’abu in the process but one couldn’t have his cake and eat it all.
Their primary goal was the gauntlet.
"Where do we begin to search?" Shawty asked as she looked around. Her five tails spun behind her with different coloured flames burning on each of them.
"Do we split up?" Exalon asked.
"No!" Kael shook his head.
"We don’t have to split up, but we don’t have to stay too close either.
We need to cover more ground but also be close enough to help each other out, that’s the best formation," Kael assessed.
He had already begun walking and his consorts followed behind him. The lion kings looked at each other, sensing that the All-King didn’t want to waste time on anything.
They also began to move in the same direction. Some moved slightly to the right and others moved slightly to the left.
Those who could had already overtaken Kael to scout ahead.
Some lion kings took to the sky while some really daring ones dived into the ground, knowing fully well that the earth here wasn’t so simple.
Still, despite the distance they were creating between themselves, they were also making sure to be close enough to call for help or provide assistance to their comrades.
They moved fast, and soon, they had left the place where they had all crash-landed.
More than ten thousand lion kings, the best of the best, the eldest among them all with the most experience, were those whom Kael had selected for this operation.
There was a fine line between efficiency and brute force. Kael wanted both.
With Memphis and Kael boosting their aura, they ran over the shifting plains and under the stormy skies, their paws beating against the ground like the drums of war. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
This planet was truly large, despite them being mostly tier 6, it may be hard for them to leave one region, talk less of going around it.
Their auras pressed on the land and unsettled the stormy sky, this world was constantly changing and seemed to want to make it hard for anyone to find the hidden treasure wherever it was.
Meanwhile, just as Kael and his army of kings scoured the land for the gauntlet and any possible enemies, his true enemies descended from the stormy sky like gods of vengeance.
More craters were formed as millions of creatures shot down with greed and killing intent.
They roared, screamed, neighed, scratched, and pounced.
"Forget about the Gauntlet, find him! Find the Primordial Lion!" Ma’abu shouted as he turned into a streak of pure Time Flow and sped away.
The lion kings who followed him maintained a certain distance out of dread for the aura they felt oozing from him.
It was an aura that came from a power so cursed and forbidden, that all lions feared and deeply despised it.
A power which opposed their very meaning of existence, their true innate weakness...
’The anti-lion power...’ One of the Anti-Primordial lion kings thought with despair filling his heart.
